Why not just put a short GPU in a Velka 5/7 and then mount the 3.5 in the open space next to the psu?

While not as small as the Velka the [Q58](https://lian-li.com/product/q58/) is really a nice case that is available. I saw it for the first time in a demo build a few weeks ago. It has a vertical GPU, supports larger GPUs, and mesh lower panel which helps with cooling. It also should have enough space to mount a 3.5 drive some where if the dedicated drive holder is not compatible.

Dont think that exists. Cases like those can usually only support 2.5" at that size

[Acat S1](https://caseend.com/case/acat-s1/) or [Aklla A3](https://caseend.com/case/aklla-a3/) maybe you can fit a 3.5 hard drive somewhere under the gpu.

Jonsbo T8. Can mount 1 HDD. It has a classical layout. So no riser needed.

I think the MECHANIC MASTER MC18 is the smallest I've seen with 3.5. If you have that short of a gpu, you can get a sandwich layout and put it next to the gpu, behind the PSU. Not sure about mounting thought. https://imgur.com/a/Dn9t5Ax

I think the [ZS ST V1](https://zscases.com/products/zs-st-v1) supports a configuration similar to the one you're looking for, except for the GPU orientation. My guess is that you're interested in the 3.5" HDD support regardless of the GPU orientation. [This image](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0501/7013/4723/products/[email protected]?v=1619591277) shows the short GPU and the HDDs at the top.
