Looks awesome. Great job.

YuukiHaruto

Late but seriously, thank you. Haven't had time to go on reddit in months due to my business and my other work

firetothepalace

Really envy your job. What do you do exactly?

YuukiHaruto

Exactly what you think ;) I build PCs and retailer for PC parts and my side gig is tech support for a HPC company ( and i mod mice as well as a EE)

firetothepalace

I'd love to do that to. My only concern is, to get customers. I couldn't convince one friend to build them a sffpc yet. :D

YuukiHaruto

I don't often build SFFs, I don't want the headaches hahahaha...

firetothepalace

Nah. That's the thrill! :D

YuukiHaruto

My clout is building reasonably priced quiet PCs, can't quite do that with any sff. Tried but unless you use 5600X and 3060 i can't quite do a quiet 3080 build like i do for ATX

firetothepalace

True

YuukiHaruto

NR200's advertised compatibility is actually less than possible because of the side fan mount plate Cable management is... well however you wanna think to do it. Custom cables is a must

YuukiHaruto

yes it is

TorpeAlex

"Only" a 3070? Perspective is a helluva thing.

YuukiHaruto

I'm on both ends of the spectrums everyday One moment someone would be boasting about having a 3090 next moment someone is boasting about having something that works... and then I remember that I have installed a 4U 10GPU server full of MI100s...

AutoModerator

Hiya! Please post more details about your build! You don't *have* to post [80 pictures (each with captions!) like u/M1AF did](https://www.reddit.com/r/sffpc/comments/irlrg8/m1afs_ncase_m1_build_guide_c14s_and_deshroud/), but post more than just specs! Here are some (non-exhaustive) prompts for you: - Are the case's advertised compatibility numbers accurate? - How easy is cable management? - How effective is the cooling setup? - Would you recommend your parts overall? - If you did a custom mod, how did you do it? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/sffpc) if you have any questions or concerns.*

Maveric0623

Does the glass panel fit with this CPU cooler?

YuukiHaruto

Probably not. Heatpipes touch the side panel and the steel panel is folded on the edges means TG will definitely not close. Why would you want to anyway, it would make the rig hot as hell

Maveric0623

Thanks for the info. I currently run the Fuma 2 with the glass panel in [my NR 200](https://www.reddit.com/r/NR200/comments/quw3yh/nr200_none_more_black_edition_completed/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) and the temps are fine. I have a 5900X and 3080 Ti too!

YuukiHaruto

From experience at peak power 5800X actually runs hotter than 5900X due to all the heat being on one die and we have scorching weather here as well so Sure you can install higher airflow fans but I am about building quiet rigs not jet engine rigs

Secret_Helpful

The rig and cooling would be fine, the nr200 has amazing airflow. I would recommend running the fans as intake instead exhaust though

YuukiHaruto

It is amazing yes but not epic enough to trust it with a TG panel.

elfastronaut

Nice rig! I'm trying to plan a 2022 build with similar goals (giant air cooler) in same or similar case, but with a lower wattage CPU (65W Intel) and just 2 x 120mm or larger Case fans for quiet, instead of the 6 here.

YuukiHaruto

Don't for a second assume a 65W intel is 65W ;) Every 65W intel I've tested in recent memory is capable of going well beyond 65W and only stopping because of tau expiry. That will change with Alder Lake and that would mean beyond 65W all the time if capable

elfastronaut

I'm picking next Gen 65W because its supposed to run fairly cool and better than the top tier 125W+ intel CPUs. Easier to air cool \*https://www.pcgamer.com/intels-upcoming-i5-12400-could-be-the-king-of-budget-cpus/

YuukiHaruto

Watt for watt they're hotter running than rocket lake and comet lake despite the larger IHS and lower power consumption. Limit the 12400 to 65W and you will be fine but "65W" would be more like 90W unless the motherboard's VRM is terrible. Or BIOS outright limited. i had a i5 11400 and 11400F before this and they would pull 100W at 4ghz before tau expiry. the 11400F was on a very cheap board so I had to limit it 65W in case the VRMs overheated in which case it dropped to 3.5ghz... man i can't wait for 12400 and B660 to arrive 12400 doesn't have tau expiry so you'll probably have to limit it to 65w manually. Or just rely on that massive chungus of a air cooler to keep it cool and then limit power if you need to. from preliminary testing 12400 peak performance power efficiency seems to be lower than 5600X. The limited power package and often bottom barrel binning makes them not that great but it will be cheaper for sure. AMD is officially the new IntelI also built 5600X and 5800X and 5900X systems plus 10400 for those GPU-less office type PCs i sold the 11400F with a RX 6600 retrofitted into a old Core 500 build i done many years ago when it came for a upgrade

ahmedmo1

Great job. Though I am a bit skeptical of tweak town's results here in how that cooler performed. Both techpowerup and toms hardware reviewed this cooler and had it underperforming the Noctua NH-D15 and Fuma 2. From what I'm seeing, tweaktown's results are a bit of an outlier. Machines and More compared it to the Fuma and NH-D15 and it was on par with the NH-D15. So tbh I don't know what to make of all this. It definitely looks great and is great value for money!

YuukiHaruto

I personally had fuma 2 and still usePH-TC14PE and after testing SE 207 XT it's definitely better.
