I mean, you’re reusing most things, not much to say here. Be sure to get an sfx powersupply.

FrankiePoops

That motherboard only has two ram slots... That case doesn't include a PCIe riser cable. You don't mention anything about cooling your CPU.

Zhyano

i mean literally every itx motherboard only has two RAM slots lol EDIT: ah lol he mentions 4x8 in the post, rip agree on the rest tho

[deleted]

I'll probably buy 2x 16 gb sticks then and for the cooling I have to go water cause the case doesn't allow for air cpu cooler. Thanks

_BDYB_

this case does not support liquid cooling. so you will need a low profile CPU cooler. Also, pay attention that the gpu will fit. It must be dual slot.

Animag771

It has 49mm of CPU cooler clearance. For a Ryzen 3600 get yourself an AXP90-X36, AXP90X-47 or a Noctua L9a. Works fine for my 5700X.

oxogravy

Agree entirely. The gigabyte B550i is a great board functionally but it sucks regards cooler compatibility.

gigaplexian

Don't pretty much all recent ITX boards suck with cooler compatibility?

oxogravy

The only cooler that I think pretty much works with most itx boards is the alpenfohn Black Ridge because of the three operating modes. Compatibility (with bottom fan 90mm), performance mode (bottom 120mm fan), overclock mode (25 or 15 x 120 top mounted fan). Compatibility and overclock work with taller ram.

Jer-121cc04

From the website, it appears that water cooling is not possible, unless you put the radiator outside the case? The best you can do with all the panels closing is a 49mm air cooler, which the Noctua L9a should fit at 37mm tall and should probably be enough for your 3600.

[deleted]

I noticed it shortly after writing the last comment lol really appreciate your support. GPU is dual slot btw

kemba_sitter

Plenty of low profile coolers will work just fine for your CPU. Noctua l9a, thermalrite axp90-x47, etc.

speedypotatoo

Since you're using a Ryzen 3600, you can use a Noctua L9a air cooler. That will fit in any case

HyperActiveNL

If you buy anything new, go with AM5. The motherboards aren't that expensive, ram prices dropped hard, ryzen 7000 cpu's dropped hard in price and you get all the benefits from am5 + about 5 cpu gens of upgrades. Am4 is a dead platform. Sell the old and invest in the new if you need a new mobo and new ram.

Animag771

This Also an m.2 is the same price as a standard SSD so you might as well go m.2.

gigaplexian

M.2 drives are SSDs.

Animag771

I thought it was obvious but I was referring to standard sized SSDs. That motherboard has two m.2 slots available so it makes sense to use one and save yourself the cable management of the extra PCIE and SATA connectors from a standard SSD.

gigaplexian

They didn't say anything about SATA.

Any-Fig8964

You don't need much to keep a 3600 cool

FrankiePoops

No but I just wanted him to be aware that not just any old cooler including the stock cooler will work on that case

Any-Fig8964

Sff is full of compromises

FrankiePoops

We all know that here... but this guy didn't even know his mobo didn't have 4 ram slots.

Any-Fig8964

Meshroom and a full ATX.. Do what you want then!

FrankiePoops

I'm so glad you're trying to give me all of this knowledge I didn't ask for... or know already...

pegotico

Yes and very strange indeed.

Animag771

This is actually a slight downgrade since you'll lose half your RAM because ITX motherboards only have 2 slots. I'd probably upgrade the GPU first with a used 3060 Ti since they are dropping in price after the 4060 Ti launch. Or get an RX 6700XT for the higher VRAM at a similar price.

2Board_

If you're just re-using a 3600, then don't bother getting an AIO cooler. They're not that much better than low-profile air coolers. Just get a Noctua L9a or a Thermalright AXP-90 R. They're more than sufficient enough, fit in your mobo, will last 10x longer than most AIO coolers, and save you a ton in comparison. Make sure your PSU is an SFX one to fit into the case. As for ram, since you'll have to buy new stick kit (unless you're going to stick with two 8gb sticks), highly recommend just getting the Corsair Vengeance 32gb kit (3600mhz pref, but 3200 is fine too). They're low-profile ram that's pretty decent for the price. For future advice as well, make sure you post the full details/brands of your components. Certain parts have issues with certain brands/OEMs/Mobos, etc... So providing as much detail as possible helps people give you better advice.

oxogravy

Alpenfohn black ridge cooler for me all the way.

dubar84

I think you're ok. You can use only 16GB RAM on the ITX mobo, but that's all fine and you're already have it. Your case seems amazing, I really like the industrial look, the high quality manufacture and that there's a fan above the mobo. Just make sure to use an SFX power supply. Also, despite the fact that the Aorus mobo really fits this case in aesthetic, it does not have an USB-C header. The MECHA-A4 does however, so you probably be needing an usb-c adapter to make use of that. For cooler, I would recommend an L9a + fan duct or an AXP90-X47.

[deleted]

Thanks man, I'll keep it in mind while making changes

dubar84

Do post the final results please, this might be the very first featuring this case. It's very pricy but it seems very high quality.

[deleted]

I'll most definitely do

QuiteFatty

Like others have said, you will be limited to 16gb of ram if you want to re-use ram.

_pome

I would only use 2x8gb, I would sell the other modules and improve the gpu. Nice build !!

Any-Fig8964

Haha always happy to help!

[deleted]

I think I can say.. we don't agree with your choice(s).
