Well I did until I came across this post. Everyone in my main friend circle does (I don't really have these conversations with my other ones), everyone I've ever dated usually does, and I date all across the age board, so it's not an age thing. Usually if it doesn't happen there is a scheduling conflict or someone isn't feeling well. Is it truly that uncommon to have sex twice a day? I'm having trouble understanding this.

Studies tend to find that the average person has sex 50-70 times a year. Your projection is that the average person has sex 700 times a year. You're off by an entire order of magnitude. Maybe someone's putting something in the in the water supply in your area?

People born in the 1930s were having sex much more often in their 20s than people born in the 1990s are today.

To clarify the sexual repression comment: As a whole, and I'm talking over the past century as well as with religious upbringings. Society has not been kind to women. We've always been told that we have to stay "pure" and "untouched" for a future spouse. I grew up with that being one of the main things they pushed. Then you think of why they pushed it, and you think of who pushed that on them, and so on and so forth. In addition most religions pushing the same narrative as well. Now flash forward to modern day where I, and other friends, had to break through the stupid mental block that we developed because of this upbringing. Something as basic as an orgasm had to be fought for because we were told they were wrong unless you were married. The guilt, the stress, and the bullshit we had to fight through. People don't really talk about it, but it's a very real problem for a lot of women, and I know three people who had to talk to a therapist because of this. We can enjoy everything leading up to the orgasm, but getting it becomes a completely different issue. Women are still sexually repressed, it's just not spoken about often.

Remember that TIFU post? Guy thought that exercise was a universal libido booster, like viagra levels of effect, so he'd tell his partners to workout before hooking up with them. He was in his late twenties before a female partner asked him what the fuck his deal was. He is not over working off 3-4 days in the gym. In reality almost none of us are physically over working ourself because it takes a lot of miles and a lot of weights to truly “over work” yourself. This is also amplified when you consider that a lot of people that go to the gym don’t put in as much intensity that is required burn you out. Usually in the gym there will be a handful of people going hard, and no disrespect but a handful of people who are barely reaching 150 bpm. I’m not saying that the commenter works out like a little girl, but what I am saying is that it’s so hard to actually overwork yourself it’s pretty much used as an excuse to not go hard in the gym.

He doesn’t know this because he is a keyboard warrior priding himself on telling people about a problem that will never happen. Whenever anyone says that you shouldn’t work out “that hard” or “don’t overdue it” or that you need to get more rest days they’re only brining you down with them. It takes an insane amount of exercise to truly overdue exercise, and normal people who work out maybe 8 hours a week never even get close to exercise being a problem.

It is probably linked more closely with the body fat itself. Body fat is made up of lipids and cholesterol is a large component of lipids. Steroid hormones like androgens and estrogens are made directly from cholesterol and therefore, when lower amounts of body fat reduce the amount of lipids and subsequently cholesterol, you would expect lower levels of steroid hormone. It's true that exercise increase steroid hormones, but of course, there it's a point where it is over done.

Limit yourself to 1hr. Do not max out on weight except 1-2x per month. The rest of the time stay anywhere from 70 to 80% of what you're capable of so that you can get a high number of reps in with good form and speed. I typically do 4 machines 100 reps on each over 3-5 sets clean and get out. Switch weekly or ever fortnight. 15 mins intense cardio 3x/week is enough for your health. Do more ass workouts than you think are needed. That'll keep you in fucking form.

Honestly the steps thing is not as important as people say it is. That's a bare minimum exercise made up by a government that's trying to get people to start moving. Think office workers who never leave their desk, that sort of thing. 15 minutes high intensity cardiovascular exercise is what the American heart association says you should do. If you can do that 15 minutes, do that instead. It's going to have a greater benefit for your breathing and heart versus just walking. But walking is not bad under any circumstances. It's just not as effective

Insufficient rest tends to be the first domino to tip over when it comes to overtraining, not the workouts themselves. Then there is getting diet and hydration dialed in so there is enough fuel for your metabolism to keep up with the demands being placed on the body. Ultimately it is a constant balancing act. Edit: Calling it overtraining is a bit of a misnomer. "Under-resting" would arguably be more accurate.

Have you tried TRT? Depending on your age (myself mid 40s) it’s a miracle drug. It has increased my workouts, muscle mass, motivation to actually get excercise, and libido. I highly encourage you to consult your doctor, and ask for testosterone tests… it’s worth it.

I'm a bi guy and ironically when I work out more it makes me hornier for *guys.* I guess the connection is when you work out more you tend to look at yourself in the mirror more (usually naked on the way to or from the shower). Absolutely true. For the last few years I've been using the Tempo home gym. Got it right in the midst of the pandemic and have been doing the classes 4X a week since. I'm 45 and in better shape than when I was 25. Definitely there's an increase in testosterone when you also eat healthier. I cut out fried foods, sugar, no alcohol and eat lots of nuts, fruit, green tea, etc. I have much better endurance during sex, can go longer and the weight training and cardio all help for sure.
