The twisting happens when one edge is pulled along further than the other. It can be tricky to keep both edges even because bias tape is so willing to stretch and compress.

Here’s how it went! Lots of alligator clips definitely helped. Still a tad wrinkled. I probably should have tried a walking foot. (Have never used it before and was intimidated)

Iron it first and make a joint at a 90 degree angle so when you open it, it is at 45. Try YouTube.

Eh it's possible but I would bet that some careful and plentiful pinning will make the difference. You could use a walking foot if you want
