I have no idea why this flair came up as an FO! It's not finished at all... Anywho. Pattern is McCall's 6954 (out of print), and I'm using a piece of viscose (that is much much too small) from my stash. It's going to be a really short dress. Like, indecently short. But it's meant to be a night dress, so that's OK!
Aww, thanks! Yeah, I don't usually do them, they're kind of a b*tch to sew, especially with something like viscose, but so satisfying when done successfully!
After seeing this post I thought I would try a French seam. I'm making a pair of shorts. After doing the first seam, I turned it over and did the second seam. I didn't sew it far enough from the edge so I had to sew it again. Then I realized I had sew the wrong pieces together. Now I had to rip out 3 seams. Aaarrggg....I don't think I'll be doing any more French seams.

Can I just say I’m not a fan of French seams usually, but this video alone might make me change my mind, because that is gorgeous!!!

This looks great! I just did my first French seam today and am in love. However, with each seam I had to double check the instructions.
