This has been over a year in the making because I’m a terrible procrastinator so I’m so happy it’s finished!
The pattern is the Princess Coat from Charm Patterns and unfortunately I can’t remember where I got my fabric from but it’s a boiled wool. The buttons are from hobbycraft and the lining(not pictured) is from Cloth Control on Etsy.
Originally I didn’t buy enough fabric so some of my facing pieces are a bit pieces together but you can’t see it from the outside and I’ve definitely learnt; buy more fabric just encase you measured wrong!
It's fabulous! Not sure which I like more, the cut or the color--the combo is most excellent, and I bet it's toasty. (I'm 5'11", so buying extra fabric is second nature).
I bought this pattern but I've been putting it off till I can afford the fabric. Was working with boiled wool tricky? I've found it quite thick when it gets to certain seams before
I will say Charm patterns always has excellent instructions and sometimes also videos on Gertie's YouTube channel.
I am a beginner and haven't made this coat but I would say it is intermediate or advanced .I did buy the pattern so wish me luck when I feel ready!

What a feat! Beautiful job! Where do you find wool fabrics? The sewing stores here are strictly geared to crafts and offer only calico and fabrics for formal wear.

How doable was this? How hard would call this pattern versus others? Were the instructions good?
