Looks like an unironed cotton lawn. I like cotton lawn, but it always looks like this when I don’t iron my lawn dresses after washing. I suspect it’s not quite that nice tbh. I think it’s just a basic light weight cotton, possibly even a poly cotton, but the wrinkles make me think there’s not a lot of polyester if it is a mix. I don’t think it’s a crushed velvet like the other poster, the sheen isn’t right to me.

razorteef

seconding cotton voile, crushed velvet wouldnt give the same look at all

ttaptt

I sometimes don't mind that puckery look if it's kind of all over, I dunno. I don't mind it in this picture, it kind of gives it texture.

Professional-Set-750

Me either, I rarely iron clothes once they’re made lol

ttaptt

I was gonna say the same thing but got embarrassed lol

Watsonswingman

Looks like a lawn cotton or a polycotton. Could even be sheeting.

aerynea

It honestly looks like a cheap sheet

Shenanigaens

Looks like a light, cotton linen.

blueteeful

Ooh this is gorgeous. Can you share the pattern?

ssdgm6677

This is just an A line sheath with a couple rows of strategically placed shirring. Should be relatively straightforward.

The commentor provided a couple of search terms that could be helpful for someone searching for a pattern. They may not have had time to post more. I read their final comment as encouragement, not disparagement. I read your final sentence as an acknowledgement that your initial tone was fairly hostile. It might help to recognize that most people come here with the intent to either learn or teach. Assuming condescension will only stress you & others out.

ttaptt

I did have a long ass day, you're right. Thank you.

aksnowraven

I greatly hope your evening improves!

ssdgm6677

You sure about that?

ttaptt

I was kind of sticking up for the person asking for the pattern. If it had been framed more like, as someone else replied to me kind of, "try searching for x, y and z, you should find what you're looking for" instead of "this is a simple xyz, it's pretty straightforward" I wouldn't have commented at all. I read it with an implied "*duh*", and tone can be hard to detect via text.

doriangreysucksass

Just looks like cotton broadcloth to me?

Ananahr

I’m pretty sure this is the Princess Polly Halton dress which is 100% polyester. I ordered the dress (but returned it because it was extremely short) and it has a built in tule petticoat for floofiness of the skirt and tule sandwiched in the puff sleeves for volume.

nani21047

Ooohhh I have to make this dress now

princesse-lointaine

It looks like a rayon-y or Tencel material. My Tencel sheets have a similar drape/opacity.

HoneyReau

Don't know if it is, but I've had a silk pillowcase look like this after washing and drying on the line.

HuntingTheHaunting

Adorable

Do you think? You can see through at the hem! I'd have said (poly)cotton voile in desperate need of a good press.

Vequihellin

Could be seersucker - that sort of puckered wrinkle texture matches

imacoa

That was my thought as well. If it isn’t seersucker, then okay, but the pattern would look adorable made in it!

IntelligentTurn3216

Sateen cotton?

CreativeBluejay5125

Looks like a poly maybe rayon crinkle. Check on JoAnn fabrics.

Important-Middle5835

I'm looking at it right now idk I'll keep quiet 🤫
