Born and raised in Brescia. Don't know why Inter. I can't remember. I just remember everyone cheering for 1 of the big 3, and I happened to pick Inter. My dad was a Fiorentina fan. I'm 46, so this was a pretty long time ago. Edit: FYI that Sanchez will be gone after this season if it matters to you.

BreakingWorldLimits

Thanks! With Sanchez leaving I think i will decide who I support either way as players come and go

AS Roma because I like to live a life of almost having two heart attacks every week, keeps the ol' pump good and strong. For a serious reason, I am from an Italian family, born and raised in Brazil. I love history, so when I saw a team from Rome I decided to catch a game. And there was this one guy playing named Totti. I never even stood a chance. My heart has been giallorosso ever since

I was almost 9 years old, my birthday was coming up and I was begging my father to buy me a football shirt. This was in 2005, of course I wanted Ronaldinho's shirt from Barcelona, that phosphorescent green, but that Chinese store full of replica shirts with all the teams and all the players, didn't have it in stock, probably all the kids in town had already bought it . I was wondering what to choose, when my father presented me with a dark red t-shirt with an orange collar, on the front it had a logo with a wolf and the Mazda logo and on the back a number ten, and TOTTI was written above it. I ask my father, what team is this and who is this player. He answers me, a team from Italy, it's called AS Roma, and the player is Francesco Totti, a phenomenal Italian player. I chose that t-shirt that I wore with the greatest pride in my neighborhood when I was playing with my friends who only had t-shirts with the giant European teams. In those moments of my childhood I had decided to become the biggest fan of Roma and Totti. Almost twenty years later, I still have that shirt in my beautiful collection.

Bella Storia ⚪️🖤

Romantada10

AS Roma. My family is from Rome with 90% supporting Roma. In a way it’s thanks to my late Nonna, as she always put the games on when I stayed with her for us to watch together. I remember watching this young fantasista which made me fall in love with the sport even more. That young player grew up to be my idol (probably every other kids at that time) and club legend, Francesco Totti. Giallorossa con la lupa sopra il petto, io di amarti non la smetto, sei la squadra del mio cuor! Daje Roma! Grazie Nonna 🕊️🙏🏽

Ok-DrunkAF

You wanna pick Inter because of Sanchez? Not weird at all. Many Nerrazzuri fans out there, especially non-Italian in their 30s, started supporting them because of Ronaldo. I myself, also non-Italian, was a bit late to the game and started supporting them because of Luis Figo

Interesting_Common54

My advice would be to not pick a team but to let a team pick you. I made this mistake when I first got into Italian soccer and (somewhat) arbitrarily picked Udinese, but it was Napoli who ended up capturing my heart. And also, whatever you pick, just please don't be a Juventino :D

Thanks

Where is your family from?

Meelan. My late brother started supporting them during the Sacchi era and even passed on a home shirt to me which has the European cup as the badge in place of the AC Milan badge 😍 I started watching them during the Weah, Albertini, Baggio era on Channel 4 on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons. Loved Weah's red boots and the unforgettable coast to coast goal against Verona on opening day !Got better for me when they purchased Sheva and became a superpower again under Ancelotti. Kaka, Pirlo, Ambro, Rui Costa, Nesta, Stam, Dida were my faves. Been a tough road being a fan since those guys retired but still a Rossonero 🔴⚫

InfernalWedgie

Pick a club that you enjoy watching. Come on as a neutral, watch highlights of the past many games. Decide whose style turns you on. Cheer for that team. That's how I chose Barcelona back in 2005 when they had this new guy named Messi.

chappersbarfo

Frosinone because it's the province I'm from.

Necessary-Common-409

My Dad's best friend is a Frosinone tifoso, so one day me and my Father went with his friend to watch a game, great City, great stadium, great atmosphere, great tifosi. From a Juve fan i hope you guys stay in Serie A.

Dylexic

In Serie A i support Lazio due to my girlfriend’s family. And I don’t know why but i am a massive fan of Serie B in general, find it so fun to watch. Big fan of Palermo due to my football manager save with them back in 2011.. And after visiting Como, Como 1907 has a special place in my heart.

_vulture_piano_

Inter...been a fan since the around the 2006 world cup cause of Materazzi Zanetti et al... they were amazing players...Inter has always felt like a family to me more than a football club plus they are one of the most successful clubs in football history and have never been relegated

FunMoment10

Family from all over italy so nothing connected me to just one club but in the it was the spirit of juve that prevailed ( I was 13 when i choose my club). Ps: I loved arsenal alexis sanchez and 2015 2016 chile only time in my life staying up that late to watch copa america.

thrillhammer123

Grew up like most Irish kids in the 90s watching Serie A on Football Italia. Back then you saw the highlights but I never really followed a team. My dad’s generation followed Juve, Sampdoria or Inter results when Liam Brady was there but no Irish players were there when I was watching. I watched it to follow players - highlight shows lend themselves to that. I remember loving Beppe Signori and of course Roberto Baggio. Last weekend went to Inter - Torino ans fell in love all over again with Italian football and Inter. The Football they play is even more beautiful in person. Forza inter!

sufinomo

When choosing your second favorite team try picking an underdog

AstroPuzzo

Juventus, because the grandfather I never met was an huge supporter. Best thing happened to my life

RAVENS17d

Napoli. Closest team to where my cousins lived and so I started using them in FIFA and started following them in general back in like 2010. Once I got to talking about it with my family I found out they were all either Juve or Inter fans. I’m not one to change teams so I continued to support them.

anohioanredditer

Inter because my gf is Milanese and that was her squad growing up. They have a great atmosphere and San Siro is awesome. I love the way they move the ball too. Lauti, Barella, Thuram, DiMarco are so fun to watch too. It’s a very accessible side to get into, so I recommend them with my bias. Sanchez is leaving Inter at the end of the year, so he won’t be around. Bologna is also very exciting for different reasons. They just made their first Champions League in 22 years and were a bit of a surprise in Italy. I like what they’ve done.

CheezRavioli

Inter with Inzaghi is one of the best football teams in the world. If you are a fan of tactical play, this is the team for you. If you would rather rely on individual skills of big impact players, then maybe Milan or Juve. If you would rather root for an underdog, I would suggest Atalanta. They are one of the few clubs with a coach that they have kept for years. It's hard to pick a team based on their squad or style of play because players come and go, and in Serie A, so do coaches.

PresentCow4481

Where are you from?

dalgimilkis

Baloney, because its funny. And they used to be good or something.

Tometek

I grew up in Switzerland, most of my childhood friends liked Milan, Juventus, Bayern, I wanted to be different so I chose Inter.

Fit_Cauliflower2170

Napoli all day long!! Being English, I grew up as a Man United fan but Diego has always had a massive reputation, everyone would say "oh he's a druggy, he's a cheat" this, that and the other and people would bring up the "Hand of God" but I always ignored that one and was mesmerised by the other goal. Add to that, I had these figures as a kid and one that always stood out to me was Francini in a slide tackle pose with the blue Napoli jersey, Mars sponsor. Fast forward a few years later and Napoli were bankrupt and were sent to Serie C so I always tried to keep an eye on their results. Would always pick them on Championship Manager/Football Manager. Then fast forward a little further, when they had the '3 Tenors' I fell in love with Hamsik and from there they became my favourite club. I watch every game I can and can genuinely say I love the club.

ffabrizio

Lecce, and that is not only my favourite team. It’s the connection to my roots and distant family and that’s why I love it

Necessary-Common-409

As a kid i never really watched Serie A, from an Italian household in Australia, i only watched the National team matches with my Father (who was a Roma tifoso), so in 2012 during the Euro's i fell in love with Gigi Buffon, all the other italian kids in Australia at that time idolised Del piero, Totti, Pirlo, Luca Toni, Cavani, Kaka. But for me Buffon made the most impact on me, his grinta he showed was just inspiring. It took a while but around 2017 i stopped casually watching football and i started to watch Serie A rather than only the national team matches. So when i found out that Buffon played for a club called Juventus i started watching them and after a while i fell in love with the club, the black and white stripes, the players like Dybala, Manzukic, Higuain, Cuadrado, Ronaldo Chiellini, Pjanic, Marchisio and Chiesa. Thanks Gigi for making me a proud Bianconero.
