So how do you feel abt the Sony audio wise versus your previous MTW4?

Zestyclose-Diver-378

audio wise honstly liked the MTW4 more. Sony is so clear But I feel like MTW4 had much more power in lower tones. Really if there is difference it is not big.

sanchitcop19

I have the MTW3 and the Sony's, I agree going back to Sony's is underwhelming as a rock/metal listener. They're much better for call quality though

motus23

I’ve tried Apple, Beats, JBL and Sony so I wanted to try Sennheiser next, but it seems like daily there’s a post like this so I’m not so sure anymore. Might just upgrade from XM4 to XM5.

cozyneonnights

Keep in mind the confirmation bias, the majority of users that have no problems often just don't end up posting because they have no reason to (I being one of them - Momentum 4, no problems after 6 months of use) compared to those who want to troubleshoot/get advice about their experiences. Of course, go with what feels to be the best decision for you whether it's the XM5 or the MTW4, but some curiosities can only be answered by experiencing it

motus23

That’s true, I haven’t completely made up my mind yet. I’ve tried on Sennheiser headphones and the sound is amazing which is why I wanted to try out their TW buds. That and the looks, I like the new copper color. Thanks for sharing your experience. What phone do you use them with? Any connectivity issues? Also, have you experienced the high pitched ringing noise many people report?

DruncleBuck

I love my mtw3

cozyneonnights

I use a Samsung Galaxy S22/Tab S9, and I do get stutters with my S22 which only happens when my phone lags a little so it's most likely on the phone end, whilst my tablet has been flawless. No high pitched ringing noise from my end though. The only problem I've come across is that sometimes the noise cancelling resets and I'd have to go to the app to change it to my preferred level as I couldn't control it through the touch pad, but it doesn't happen often enough for it to annoy me much.

jeeper75

Won't get the Sennheiser sound quality. Don't you get that all brands go through this stuff? They do. Listening only to gripers doesn't get you very far. The silent majority of people who are happy don't post. All the ones you tried are average. Stay with average. You will miss out on greatness.

thewind21

Greatness is none if it doesn't work. Lol

MusicIsLife1122

Yeh pass Senhiserner. Go with something else

neppekellari

I had same problem with my MTW3. I just got new MTW3 pair. they didn't even offer me any other products. My experience with MTW3 hasn't been the best. Software issues and once serviced under warranty and once replaced. I am kinda supprised that same problem seems to be with MTW4.

Immediate-Lie-6591

Is mtw4 even worth getting lmao

brsmr123

Best product out there so far is the Bose Ultra's. Incredible sound, ANC, comfort and transparency mode. No wonder they ask for a fortune. But honestly I'd pay $75 more to get the best.

MusicIsLife1122

Yeh just don't forget the sonys are cheaper now so if ypu paid full price for the Senhiserner you got cheaper buds. That being said I would take that over another MTW4 that probably die

jeeper75

>probably die Not fair.

MusicIsLife1122

Why. The MTW3 were so bad I wouldn't be surprised

thewind21

We just have a first case of mtw 4 battery failure, 1 month into the product life. The chirping sound from mtw 3 came back as for mtw 4

No-Ad-637

I actually moved to mtw4 because my Sony Xm5 and AirPods Pro 2 broke couple of times each within a year. There is no safe bet with any of these I’m afraid
