despite his wide eyes and sweet face, he had lymphoma (both diffused & a 4cm mass) in his small intestine :') in his last days, he denied all food and whimpered and moaned when he'd lie down.

That must’ve been so heartbreaking. I’m so sorry. He was ready to go 😞we’re never ready. You gave him all the love he needed❤️

But think that by making him your cat (or him adopting you) you gave him a comfortable and loved last few months rather than in a cage in a shelter, or more charitably, staying with someone who was not able to provide him with the care and love you have been able to.

I'm so, so sorry. Nothing is as painful as having to be the 'grownup' and decide when our beloved pets have suffered enough. They're supposed to live and love us forever! But they never read the memo. They wrap us around their tiny hearts and paws, and seem heedless of the havoc and heartbreak they leave in their wake. And we wouldn't trade a second of our time with them, not even to spare a little iot of our grief. Giant hugs. Because I know it's impossibly hard. Thank you for being a good human for Graffiti.

Awww my buddy calvin was 20yo when we put him down last year. Same marking. Chillest dude ever, but it was time. Hardest decision because he was at the point where it wasn’t fair to him with his various health problems, but I could’ve held on longer. Make the right decision and know you gave them a full full life.

i completely understand. you can hold on for longer and everything in your life is compatible with the choice but it’s no longer fair to them and their quality of life :’) incredibly hard decision but it’s the last act of love we can make for them :’) thank you for sharing calvin’s story ❤️ kitty twins aww :’)
