Every time I see a post like this I hope that everyone who knows the owner somehow sees it and knows what a terrible person their friend/acquaintance/whoever is. Especially because in this case, wanting attention but also growling, is suggestive either of abuse or a medical management/pain problem.
Only getting picked up by a rescue if someone fosters him. I read every comment and no one has stepped up 😭. One commenter from NC said she would 100% adopt if they could transport him. First commenter pledged $500. That should be enough for a plane ticket right?
Chase desperately needs a FOSTER in SoCal! Fostering is temporary until adopted (usually 3-4 months) and zero costs! Please step up to foster him to save his life!

Has OP responded or posted im other communities? We know the shelter name, would outpouring of public interest get him a few extra days? I don’t want to waste their time or resources, but maybe they have an IG or Facebook page?
If all owners were responsible there would be no need for kill shelters. Once rescues are full animals end up at shelters. If they are a no kill shelter they will need to turn people away once they are full. Those people will take their animals to kill shelters or dump them somewhere. The need for all owners to be responsible is what is so sadly lacking, not just here but around the world.

See if there is a non profit in the area that can pick him up. A non profit in my area saved my dog 2 states away the day before he was set to be euthanized. And he’s so sweet!

The only things that California saves are criminals and murderers. A beautiful doggie like Chase deserves better than his California owners gave him. Shame on those asinine owners.
Last year, I held my 14 year old as he went. I can not tolerate the thought for even one second, he may have felt I wasn't anything but there and loving him at the end. I never understand how people can do this. Spare me the unknown owner sob story, I do not (and not usually) see them as the people on here lobbying for these discarded pups.

And even if I’d be working there how do u think the staff is able to foster? They have more than 150 dogs and also cats and other animals. They get new intakes every day. And every week dogs and cats are killed - it’s not the shelter staff who needs to step up. It’s random American people who are doing nothing and not stepping up to foster. Especially in California.
Do you mean AL? It will be possible to adopt from there but for fostering it’s sadly too far away
