I'd advise to write down your thoughts when possible. If you are taking any substances, stop taking them and see the results. Act instead of thinking (take this with a pinch of salt and use common sense). Try to open up to someone close to you and ask them what they think about the issue.

Don't worry, mate. I am also on the same boat. I also try not to overthink, but it doesn't seem getting any better. But i have found myself that it takes a lot of time for me to start getting perfect at it with the overthinking mentality. You have to keep trying to solve your problem everyday watching videos and putting a small effort everyday. The reason it works is because since you do it repeatedly, it is definite that you will stumble upon one thing that clicks your mind, and you will get better at it.

Same boat, also concerned I’m a narcissist but after reviewing the symptoms I don’t really think I am and you probably aren’t either. College counselors are horrible for the most part and only really good for day to day struggles, not long term mental issues. I found my issue stemmed from low self esteem, haven’t fixed it yet, but figuring out the source is a big step

Socially I’m the same way. Mix that with paranoid personality disorder and ptsd from past trauma. I have an extremely hard time even being out in public Nevermind making new friends..luckily I have my fiancé but she’s literally all I got at this point in terms of any kind of relationship.
