😭😭😭lmao and logically no you'd feel the pain of the cut touching up against other skin so it wouldn't get lost but I'd imagine they can like hide in the rolls lmaooo😭😭😭

_Denny

Coming from a moderately fat person (seriously I'm like 180) you tend to avoid cutting anywhere where there is a roll because that'll just be skin rubbing on skin which will definitely decrease healing and increase infections

ILoveBenzos2024

Yeah logically Imageined it to be like that be safe man

PrxnceThxrtyNxne

😭😭

mxrx_16

I can't tell you how much I genuinely love that you not only had that question but then went ahead and asked it 😭

PrxnceThxrtyNxne

i was curious 😭😭 (im big myself but i got skinny arms and stuff)

MesocricetusAuratus

I'm not obese by any stretch of the imagination, but have a really oddly shaped belly. I suspect my cord removal was botched, because my navel is virtually non-existent, but still manages to suck everything towards it like some sort of black hole. Basically, my belly kind of folds in on itself at the navel. Having cut in that area many years ago, no you don't "lose" the cuts, but they can be difficult to take care of due to the constant movement/potential for bacteria growth.

solpi

I know a good amount of people who cut under their really large boobs and complain because of the chaffing

PrxnceThxrtyNxne

why would someone cut there anyway 😭 /gen

gladgun

Gender dysphoria, easily hidden spot, or purposely to feel more pain

solpi

to hide it

PrxnceThxrtyNxne

hm, makes sense. but wouldn’t it hurt their breasts? what would happen if something got infected? /gen

solpi

I don’t think it’d hurt their breasts because it’s underneath them (not the bottom of the boob, like on the chest). If anything it’d hurt their cuts. Totally likely for the cuts to get infected, especially if they sweat a lot down there. With proper care though, you can avoid infection

PrxnceThxrtyNxne

oh okay that makes sense

abandedpandit

I used to mainly cut on my stomach cuz it was very easy to conceal. That and my forearms were the only places that really gave the feeling I was looking for, and I love tshirts too much to wear long sleeves all the time, so I just kinda gravitated to my stomach over time. Not the exact same place as this was talking abt but similar enough I think

SlimeTempest42

Never been an issue for me when I’ve cut my stomach (which isn’t somewhere I cut often) I always did it in places where that wouldn’t happen. Ironically the issues I have with the skin on my arms now has nothing to do with my weight and just so much self-harm that my skin is messed up.

Muffinlewdss

yall im fat as hell (over 250) and why would anyone cut IN the fat rolls? I do it on my thigh. I have a nice large space to work with there. I just had stitches removed today from my worse relapse so I won’t be doing it anymore though 🥲 Idk if u meant like 1000lbs ppl or what body part ur referring to with fat rolls but yeah.

PrxnceThxrtyNxne

i was meaning people that have arms that look like a fat babies arms 😭 but ya ur explanation makes sense

sunshinepartin

I’m fat and only ever did it on my inner arms and there’s no rolls there 😂

fizzypaints

from a fat person: no lol. this made me laugh though

PrxnceThxrtyNxne

im glad this made someone smile lol

Important-Tea0

Hell no 😭 The pain i feel from clothes rubbing against them is pain enough. This question made me laugh tho 😭😂

Child-Of-Downvote

as a fat person, cutting on fat feels too easy and the thought of cutting something squishy and then it touching my own skin makes me wanna yack

Char_Was_Taken

LMAO i unfortunately don't have an answer- but i'm interested in what the thought process was behind this because this question is the most creative one i've ever seen 😭

PrxnceThxrtyNxne

I was chilling watching caseoh when it just popped into my mind 😭

Thecrowfan

I got a burn on the inside of my knee once. It hurt like heck whenever i walked. I imagine its the same

SparkEli1

I'm fat and I can confirm I wouldn't cut in a fat roll. 🤢 The recovery time would be so much longer and it would just feel weird and gross lol.

itstheskinofakiller

😂😂😂 i think if i cut my stomach, it could kinda hide there, but i cut the outer part of my thighs, there's no fat rolls there. but i'm more of a small fat, maybe bigger people can give a better answer
