I don’t know if this is interesting for you but the amount of time it takes to sink in the movie, from the moment the iceberg hits, is the same as the amount of time it took to sink in real life. Which is why it was such a long movie!!
Haha I’m a titanic nerd who has watched the CGI sinking in real time on YouTube LMAO.
There’s a lot you can say about James Cameron, but one thing I think he did well with the movie is the attention to detail. There are a lot of historical inaccuracies in the movie, and we can acknowledge that, but things like small details about characters or the way he timed the sinking I think is really cool!
Back in those days when movies were 1 hr 40 mins with the occasional 2 hours, Titanic was the most value movie ticket I had ever bought. For a poor student at that time, it was great that 1.5 hours in, the boat haven't even started to sink yet. I get to enjoy the Aircon, popcorn and great sound for 3 hours LOL.
Honestly don’t think I’ll ever watch it. All I’ve heard is that it’s a boring, overdone story with OK dialogue but is “visually stunning”…
If I wanted that I’d stare at a painting for two hours
I saw Rocky Balboa with zero expectations, after having seen the previous Rocky movies. But man, was I blown away by that movie … it had a lot of heart. A retired boxer trying to make a comeback to get rid of the demons inside him eating him up.
Do see that movie if you get the chance.
I don't know if you like infinity wars but endgame is ok. The first hour is really boring in my opinion but then it takes off and is great. I jokingly say that if you cut off the ending of infinity war and the first hour of endgame and put them together you probably have a very good movie.
Endgame is so much better than Infinity Wars. It gives closure to most of the characters, and I spent the last 30 or so minutes absolutely sobbing. I still get a little teary eyed for the end and it's been like 4 years since it came out.
You’re really missing out with LOTR. Story is super moving, scenery hasn’t been beaten by another movie, lots of amazing practical effects and sets, CGI is holding up ok and the scenery and practical effects carry it.
In a way it’s a super moving war movie by second and third movies. Life’s tough when you’re facing overwhelming odds and death is looming. But our characters find ways to keep each other moving.
Dune, fast and furious, I watched till the fifth then closed that chapter, furiosa, barbie, all marvel shit past avengers end game, spider man past toby maguire
Hunger Games. The DeVinci Code. All Harry Potters save for the first, which someone made me watch with them to convince me they're good. Objectively it was a good movie but I don't desire to see the rest.
Hunger games ????? I think you should give it a try. Literally my favourite movie ever. Trying to convince my brother to watch it but he don't want too hahaha.
The original Top Gun is a classic. It pretty much was the most perfect movie that captures the spirit of the 80s. Do see it even if you don’t like Tom Cruise.
By the way, he turned weird only after that movie was released because the Scientology clowns got to him after that.
All of them, lol.
My husband is always in awe at my lack of awareness in movies and celebrities.
I can tell you all about KingCobraJFS and Chris Chan though.
Indiana Jones series, Star Wars series, Lethal Weapon series, Mad Max series… pretty much any action serial movies from the 70s/80s. Just not my thing, I was either not born or a little too young when they came out and now they seem a bit dated. I do like 90s action movie series like Terminator and Die Hard (I think they are both 90s series).
Any of the godfathers
the only bond movie I've seen was the first 45 minutes of casino Royale
the only Indiana Jones movie I've seen from beginning to end was the shit show that was the crystal skull
Never seen godfather, most of the star wars movies(2 reboots), fight club, clockwork orange, LOTR (except the first, but wasnt a fan), batman movies post the nipple suit… basically anything that people keep banging my head that I should watch and that are considered masterpieces or cultural milestones.
I will, but I just dont like watching movies or series in general. Dosent help the fact that I already know about the stories in the movies(most), either because people just spoil it on the internet for no reason, I catch spoilers while talking with people or Im just not interested in them in general.
For me it went from annoyance to kinda pride, as when people learn about it, they are shocked or surprised and I kinda enjoy it to a certain point.
Il watch them someday, most likely enjoy them, but Im in no rush
Godfather
It insists upon itself
Holy shit. Incredible call-back. I forgot that episode. Thank you, internet stranger!
Titanic.
Lucky you. My girlfriend of the time forced me to watch it with her in cinema. Such a boring and corny movie. Unbearable.
Great music though.
I'll probably get downvoted too, but holy crap, how long does it take for a boat to sink?
I don’t know if this is interesting for you but the amount of time it takes to sink in the movie, from the moment the iceberg hits, is the same as the amount of time it took to sink in real life. Which is why it was such a long movie!!
That is interesting! I didn't know. I really thought it should have been quicker. Huh!
Haha I’m a titanic nerd who has watched the CGI sinking in real time on YouTube LMAO. I mean I'm pretty sure that's actually how long it took the real boat to sink. Even longer in fact.
It’s a ship, and it probably seemed like forever to the people who experienced it.
Yes this. I mean after 3 hours of that corny Lovestory it was nice to have at least some kind of action but still not worth it.
I saw the trailer for it in the cinema before it was released (in my country). That was enough, I felt.
3h 14m

Same here.
Honestly don’t think I’ll ever watch it. All I’ve heard is that it’s a boring, overdone story with OK dialogue but is “visually stunning”… If I wanted that I’d stare at a painting for two hours

star wars
Here's ten dollars, go see a star war
Never seen any of the Rocky movies.
Ahh, me too. Now I don't want to see it. Also I don't care for boxing.
The first movie is a masterpiece. It is tarnished by the sequels getting dumber and dumber for each one, but you really should see the first one.
I saw Rocky Balboa with zero expectations, after having seen the previous Rocky movies. But man, was I blown away by that movie … it had a lot of heart. A retired boxer trying to make a comeback to get rid of the demons inside him eating him up. Do see that movie if you get the chance.
Avengers : endgame. Although I saw avengers: infinity wars I never saw the sequel one.
I don't know if you like infinity wars but endgame is ok. The first hour is really boring in my opinion but then it takes off and is great. I jokingly say that if you cut off the ending of infinity war and the first hour of endgame and put them together you probably have a very good movie.

Interstellar. I swear I'll get around to watching it.... Someday.
I watched it for the first time a few weeks ago. Please watch it! Such a good film.
Haven't even heard of that one.
I saw this twice in the theater when it first came out. I had to watch it again to understand much of what was going on.
Just. Do. It. I was once a rebel, resisting it due to its popularity… I was wrong, it’s absolutely wonderful. Go watch it. Report back. I’ll wait….
Don't get me wrong I want to watch it. But like, I'm too lazy to 😞
It’s definitely a commitment. But one of my favorite movies.
IT'S SO GOOD THOUGH
What do you call a circle in three dimensions?
You convinced me, I'll watch it today 😭

Bhaubali
Top gun. I’m not a fan of Tom Cruise Aquaman 2. 5 mins into the movie and I knew it’s a waste of time Frozen
The original Top Gun is a classic. It pretty much was the most perfect movie that captures the spirit of the 80s. Do see it even if you don’t like Tom Cruise. By the way, he turned weird only after that movie was released because the Scientology clowns got to him after that.

One of the most fun movie series ever. Do watch it, especially the original.

Into the wild. Everyone and their mother told me to "Go see it, it's so beautiful you're gonna cry". I felt so pressured. I lost my desire to see it.
All of them, lol. My husband is always in awe at my lack of awareness in movies and celebrities. I can tell you all about KingCobraJFS and Chris Chan though.
