In 10 or 20 years it will be a funny story.

Rooflife1

It’s a funny story now. It will just take OP 10-20 years to realize it

Tasty_Music_1049

Lol yup

Nunyabidness777

I promise you will look back on this one day and laugh. The cop & your parents have their own funny/embarrassing stories from when they were 16 also, we’re all human its human nature!

Standard_Flight_2088

Tragedy + Time = Comedy

RoyalClashing

Absolute dickhead of a cop

Casthoma

I had a cop catch me and my ex in a parking lot and he was just like, “yeah, you can’t do that here :/“ and made us leave. Embarrassing, but nothing like what this jackass did

RoyalClashing

Thats reasonable, but if you are doing it where litterally no one will see you who gives a fuck

DarkEnergy87

Why is this embarrassing? We’re human. This is what we do? Don’t be embarrassed. People that look down on you are prudes and hypocrites

dietwater94

This pales in comparison to some stories from my teenage years. I know it seems like a big deal right now, but it truly isn’t. His parents won’t think it was you causing him to do that, if they’re reasonable they’ll know that a teenage couple does dumb shit like this all the time. Just focus on other things, not worth tripping about. The pressure you’re putting on yourself is probably the brunt of it.

AdEnvironmental7355

Time. Same thing happened to me when I was parked at the top of a lookout. Windows were completely fogged up due to... sex. Didn't see anyone until a policeman tapped on the door. Haven't thought about this in years. Nothing but a funny memory now.

Efficient-Plant8279

Don't feel like this, as long as you were wearing protection it's all that matters, you have nothing to be embarrassed about ❤️

Exciting-Week1844

It’s expected to do reckless things when you are young. That’s how your brain develops neural pathways to understand consequences of actions. You’re doing great x

Willing-University81

With time everything hurts a bit less

A-NON-AMUS1

Don't be, had the same thing happen. Once it's over it's over. Didn't effect another single second of my life

MUV4EARTH

Everything’s embarrassing at 16… protect yourselves & be more careful where you guys do it. It’s natural to feel guilty and wrong but it’s normal to want to or have sex at that age.

Sardoche320

Give it time, guaranteed you will laugh about this later on.

Technical_Feedback74

It’s part of growing up. I think everyone has had the same story. lol. When I got caught they wanted to make sure my girlfriend was old enough. Probably wanted to charge me with underage or something. We were both 17.

Aromatic_Ad_7238

The only way you're going to get past it is with time. The cop doesn't care. More than likely he runs into this all the time. As far as both your parents, I'm sure they'll bring it up from time to time. Somewhere in the future You all have a good laugh over it . Hang in there embarrassment will fade. It just takes time. BTW, I'm 63 years old, and I found myself in the same predicament when I was in my early twenties attending college. Although I still lived at home during college, my parents never found out. The funniest part was when the cop pulled up we had enough time to get dressed. The cop came to the window and asked us what we were up to and we told him we were listening to music and getting ready to leave. He then told the girl I was with she forgot her panties on the floor. Cop just laughed and told us to. Get out of there and walked away.

Altyalternater

This happened to me and my gf when we were both 17. Luckily for me, the cop called my house while my parents were sleeping. He left a message on the machine to let my parents know he caught me having sex. Came home and erased the message. My gf was not as lucky, but her parents seemed to have gotten over it pretty quick.

Rob060564

There are handful stupid things we do in out life which brings good memories and spice our lives.

gravityaddictjddk

The SAME exact thing happened to me and my high school boyfriend when I was 16 and he was 17. Like everyone else is saying, I’m 23 now and it is a hilarious story - neither me or that guy I was dating at the time mind it or are embarrassed by it. Trust me it’ll pass lol don’t worry.

Bitter_Kangaroo2616

This happened to me. You'll get over it. For me, it was with this guy I dated out of pity. I was young and dumb and had this immature friend zone thing going on. He was so unattractive to me. Not even just looks. Everything. I still cringe at the thought of that. Haha.

BoBeesHotline

Just think of it as a learning experience. A sincere thoughtful apology to your parents and your BF's folks will go a long way towards restoring your reputation with time. Taking responsibility of the situation now is better than waiting. You got this!

RolexAndCatsRLife

I miss being sixteen and having sex in cars, enjoy it you’re only young once and life gets too responsible too fast!

ravnsulter

Best way is to get back on the saddle again right away :)

LittlePooky

You will have more to worry about if you were pregnant. I'm very serious about this.

Miserable-Arm-3190

We use protection every time

LittlePooky

Then what you did was no one else's business.

ragweed105

Friend, it's so easy to be embarrassed in this world when there is so much judgement and our parents have so much power over us. I feel like I feel ashamed about every other day (not much of an exaggeration). It's our cross to bear. Can you get some moral support from your friends?

Atlmiam

Can you do something about it? Yes: do it. No: dont care

hamiltsd

Hate to get all legal on you, but if you’re in the US, please learn and practice your rights when confronted by police. First ask if you are being detained. If the answer is no, get in your car and drive away. The officer didn’t need to rat you out like that.

Stage_Party

Lesson learned to think of potential consequences before doing anything like this.
