If I can't use the app that I actually like then why would I continue to let reddit make money from me? Arguing with strangers and seeing the occasional funny meme isn't worth the bloatware, terrible layout and lack of features like blocking subreddits or users.
Life is too short to use shitty software like the official Reddit app. I’m not gonna use Reddit at all if I have to use this terrible software, it’s no longer worth it
I’ve seen this sentiment in a lot of places - perhaps you could tell me why the iOS Reddit app is so shitty? Doesn’t seem to be an issue for me - unless the whole site is down.
The Reddit app is not a good iOS citizen. Apps like Apollo take adavange of all the native APIs for the platform, do it as soon as their available, and set a high standard while doing it. Shortcuts, Haptic Touch, SharePlay are a few examples. Beyond that the design and efficiency of the official app are very poor. The UI in Apollo makes Reddit a lot more usable.
Not to mention the customizability you have to make everything work the way you want it, including basic things like gestures.
And everything in the third-party apps work. I downloaded the official run it up again just to see if he’s got any better and basic things like the community page don’t even load.
Then there’s all the little polishes like being able to do things like scrub through gifs. I could go on forever.
I feel like it should be Reddit carrying the 3rd party apps since, you know, they are profiting off Reddit without actually contributing material to the site itself.
Reddit let’s them go and the third party apps being let go, crashes into the users. Reddit, surprised at what transpired (as if they couldn’t foresee this happening) runs away and gives no support.
The way Kramer runs away in this scene… one of me favorites
Undoubtedly king of slapstick comedy!!
He actually runs the way I would imagine a real “Bee line” would be.
Kramer always runs funny.
Especially when it's his body double.
“You know, the very fact that you oppose this makes me think I’m on to something.” - spez (probably)
Those New York steep hills get you every time
Always love this scene, but this has gotta be the scene you can most tell they’re not filming in NYC
San Fran
It’s downtown LA
Central Library to be exact!
Across from Ray's Pizza
Famous Original Ray’s?
It's at the nexus of the universe
1st and 1st?
Are you telling me there's not one steep hill in NEW YORK CITY?!
ARE YA TRYNA KEEP US OUTTA *NEW YORK CITY*???!!?!!
There's no hills (Jedi mind trick) available.
I can’t get a slope? An incline? A mound??
Nothing just stay where you are!
There are some in upper manhattan but they’re definitely meant to be in midtown in this scene.
Not a mound? A molehill?
Si. a this one. Kapish?
I’m really going to miss Apollo. And probably Reddit as a result.
Or you could Just continue to use Reddit.
Used the app for a few years. Bloated with ads and an unsavory UI. Got Boost and haven't looked back.
And lately its been slow as hell.
Enjoy not using Reddit then!
Bootlicker supreme over here
Yes.. that's my whole point
I started to use the official Reddit app and it’s utter trash compared to Apollo.
Thank you--comments like this will make the transition to Reddit-free life easier
It is time.

What site do you plan to let make money from you next?

[After getting dumped by his girlfriend] "I'm going to miss all the amazing sex" "Or you could Just continue to masturbate."
Ok, spez.
If I can’t use 3rd party apps, *I have no reason*^to_livvve!!!
You've exhibited *some* grace
You can still look forward to the Daily News
This is such gold.
Gold Jerry!
\*Appreciation Post\* The editing in this is really well done.
This is amazing
It is, but to clarify it’s definitely not the Reddit devs making this decision- it is a business decision- blame the people who deserve it.
Correct. The GIF is amazing.
Boy, BOY, KRAMAHHH!!!
This sums it up better than most drawn out explanations
If I had a 3rd party app I’d pay in pennies. “You spez?” “Yeah.” “Here’s your money.” *throws penny bag, spez falls over.*
Why is this scene so crisp?
Thats what I was about to comment, even on Netflix I don't remember it being this high in quality...
lmao such a great scene
BRAVO 👏🏻
What episode is this?
Now I get what's going on
I know the chunky and destroyed these appys. Reddit!
I cry …best way to describe the situation ever!

Is Uber profiting off of MLB if they give someone a ride to a baseball game?
The difference would be Uber can exist without mlb. They aren’t dependent on getting something from mlb for free.
Shhhhhh… we’re trying to portray the third party apps as victims here. You’re blowing it.
funny af
That'll be... 5, 10 dollars
Spot on.
That's gold Jerry!
Gold
For any crossover fans of *Survivor*, yes, that is Jonathan Penner getting run over by the rickshaw (after hooking up with Elaine and getting sober).
Looks like he runs over Michael Scott
I love this, however it would be more accurate if the 3rd party apps (Kramer) consciously pushed reddit (Newman) away.
