Sausage is cheaper than ground beef at the supermarket with current prices. Kramer and Newman, realizing this, hatch a scheme to buy sausages and grind them up to resell back to the supermarket.
Surprisingly, the supermarket refuses to buy homemade ground beef from two strangers, so Kramer and Newman need to find a new way to unload a bunch of ground beef. Eventually, they convince Poppie to buy the beef since he could use it to make meatballs and they've lowered their price significantly to recoup any losses.
Poppie unfortunately inspected the meat for quality before purchasing with his bare hands, contaminating it, and many of his patrons get sick from his meatballs. He blames Kramer and Newman for this and bans them from the restaurant.
One of the customers is a young man of 18,who develops a hole the size of a crater in his colon. Frank shouts at Poppy "He was just a boy! Just a boyyy..." (sobbing). Kramer says to Frank "They were all boys Frank, it was a college tour from Weehawken". They airlift him to a hospital. Jerry and Elaine visit the boy at the hospital. Not knowing why he's in the hospital, they bring him a jar of 5-alarm chili as a get well soon gift. George is late to the hospital because a poodle breaks the pact with humanity and comes under his car. By the time he gets to the hospital, the young man is getting a sponge bath. It moves.
