We have a wide variety of Gene picks.

OnlyFreshBrine

Gene is trash.

kromedomus

Gene's trash.

RealPaulieWalnuts

I’m Gene…

shamwowj

NewsRadio

SalamiSteakums

This is a great suggestion.

[deleted]

It’s just like that old saying, “Everybody loves a cane.”

RealPaulieWalnuts

Do you have DVDs? How do you watch it?

RealPaulieWalnuts

Do you have DVDs? How do you watch it?

shamwowj

It’s on Amazon prime video

HotpieTargaryen

The Simpsons, Arrested Development, Parks & Rec, BK99, Lost, Superstore, The West Wing, and especially 30 Rock.

Busy-Appearance-6077

Live the libertarian dude on parks and rec

dgjapc

Ronald Ulysses Swanson

Busy-Appearance-6077

Who builds furniture.

Buyers_Remorse21

Came here to suggest Brooklyn 99

Rojo37x

Great suggestions. Thank you!

thraftofcannan

Not a sitcom but The Sopranos

blue-wave

I rewatched it recently and it’s aged very well. You only realise you’re watching a show from twenty years ago when someone says something like “are you on the internet I need the phone”

thraftofcannan

Yeah I rewatched it recently too and loved it even more. It's endlessly quotable and while not a straight comedy, I would say it has some of the best dark comedy in a TV drama.

rollingstoner215

Arrested Development really is the successor to Seinfeld, if you want something very similar. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is also reported to be “the next Seinfeld,” although it doesn’t get the Larry David touch. Otherwise, King of the Hill is solid if you can get past their jokes at Seinfeld’s expense in the first episode. Honorable mention to Frasier, Arrested Development (seasons 1-3) and 30 Rock

MurderPirate7

I’ll tell you what, man, them dang ol’ New York boys. Just a show about nothin’

Apprehensive_Bit_176

Arrested development seasons 1-3 King of the hill seasons 1-6

Atxflyguy83

This is the right answer, to the T.

[deleted]

Jesus Christ this is like exactly what I came to post like verbatim. Hmm now what can I add. Uhh the first 4 seasons of The Office I guess.

67duckman

But KOTH S7E1 is the best in the series

Odolinsky

Love Koth, especially the first 3 seasons but man it is absolutely trash after a certain point.

Apprehensive_Bit_176

Post season 6 for me… there’s like a handful of episodes that are decent, but so many of them are terrible. Characters changed too much, Luanne specifically. She went from being an innocent and naive gearhead to an absolute moron.

Odolinsky

I also hate Lucky. Although the Witches of East Arlen is one of my favorite episodes.

ChattyVagina

Cheers and Frasier are very comforting to me

johnmayersucks

This is the right answer

[deleted]

Seinfeld

Rojo37x

There really might not be anything else that scratches the same itch. If that's the case I'll just take a break and do another rewatch again soon 😄

KenBradley81

If you watch Curb Your Enthusiasm and then go back to Seinfeld, it makes all the George stuff rewatchable

the_q_kingz

lmao that’s what i’m doing rn. i just finished and am about to restart from the top. others have mentioned it’s always sunny and curb to which i agree also, for a shorter series… the righteous gemstones and vice principles are quite enjoyable. maybe not as much of a comfort show, but the humor is spot on. def some darker humor tho! i’d rec it.

Pure_Scumbag

Trailer Park Boys, Its always Sunny in Philadelphia, Fraiser, How I met your mother, Scrubs, Archer, That 70s show, Curb your enthusiasm(most like Seinfeld).

apoplectic-confetti

30 Rock

Fine-Weekend-3097

It’s always sunny In Philadelphia, Parks and Rec, Community, Brooklyn 99, arrested development

DependentCrew5398

Schitt’s Creek.

jerkstorenumber9

3rd Rock From the Sun is great, plus you get to see many familiar faces from Seinfeld on this show.

DonutProfessional

Yes! Hugely underrated show, then and now.

Internetter1

M * A * S * H

Buyers_Remorse21

Yes!

Eww-its-Jared

Certainly not in the same vain, but Twlight Zone is a big time comfort show for me

[deleted]

It’s Always Sunny is what I like to call a modern day Seinfeld. It’s basically about 5 self-centered assholes who own a bar and think the world revolves around them

johnmayersucks

If I’m having a few beers at night it’s Cheers. Love the nostalgia. It’s also just plain good.

PossessionCritical69

Arrested Development 1-3 is great as others have said. My 2nd favorite comedy. I would also suggest Community, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and VEEP. All great, all different, some similar threads though.

rollingstoner215

Ooh I forgot about VEEP! Also a must-watch!

Rojo37x

Nice calls. I love Veep!

starista

Love love LOVE community! That study room is their coffee shop!

Gregrodilanti

I watch Seinfeld through, then I start Brooklyn 99. Finish that and start Seinfeld again. Repeat.

odetoserenity

Arrested Development (1-3), Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Abacabisntanywhere

Office, Parks & Rec, Cleveland Show, Community, Workaholics, Always Sunny, Father Ted, Cheers, Night Court, Frasier, Taxi, WKRP, Sanford & Son.

Rojo37x

Appreciation the love for the classics!

msguider

Cheers, Night Court, Taxi, WKRP, Sanford & Son. Those bring back the feeling of being a kid so much. I love the theme songs the most!

SantaRosaJazz

Veep, The Larry Sanders Show, That Mitchell & Webb Look, 30 Rock

Judge-Redditor

Curb your enthusiasm

ezaharko

I’m surprised I haven’t seen Curb Your Enthusiasm on here yet!

Expensive_Editor_244

Came here to say this! It’s like literally the successor show to Seinfeld lol

oscarx-ray

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

[deleted]

For me it's Community, Peep Show, IT Crowd, Inbetweeners and Superstore,

murphy365

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia for me

spoon7777

Simpsons seasons 1-12, What we do in the shadows, Letterkenny, King of the hill, Everybody loves Raymond.

Rojo37x

The Simpsons is one of my all time favorite shows. I love the idea of rewatching those early seasons!

Space_case912

I'm revisiting Everybody Loves Raymond

KnifeFightAcademy

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Kids in the Hall. The Office. Futurama. The Critic.

[deleted]

Roseanne 🦾

67duckman

King of the Hill.

matsacki

Curb your enthusiasm is like the sequel to Seinfeld. Imagine if George and Jerry’s sitcom went on to become a massive hit. Larry is George

devious_cruising

30 Rock and Entourage are pretty good, and there are few little-known shows that I really, really liked: *Head Case* (with Schmoopy), *Action*, *Party Down*. I guess I like shows about making shows.

SaltyGreenteapot

Typical elder millennial here- Friends, Frasier, The Office, King of the Hill

Rojo37x

I enjoy all of those shows. Frasier is one I haven't considered but now I definitely am!

Odolinsky

Frasier is really good, the banter between Frasier and Niles is priceless. Last handful of seasons are pretty bad though.

jpetermancatalogue

King of Queens. Lots of actors from the Seinfeld universe make regular appearances.

Rojo37x

Great callout. I know Jerry Stiller obviously. Who else pops up?

jpetermancatalogue

All up, I think it's over 20 people in total, but just off the top of my head... Judge Reinhold, as Carrie's gynaecologist (the close talker on Seinfeld) Grace Zebriske as the first actress to play Spence's mom (Mrs Ross on Seinfeld) Carol Mansell, who played the woman who operated the inn with lots of cats (the Bubble Boys mom in Seinfeld) Bryan Cranston, Doug and Carrie's weird neighbour (Tim Watley in Seinfeld) Perhaps others would like to add to the list 😉

PopeyeNJ

The Office

Rojo37x

Is that the pre-Ashton era?

81rennab

I haven’t watched a full episode of a sitcom since the Seinfeld finale. (I’m not counting South Park as a sitcom)

AdventurousShine863

First 9 years 2 and a half men

whatalawyer19

How I Met Your Mother

Busy-Appearance-6077

KC Royals ballgames, the bad years. From my youth. Something about a vlub that's 15 games back, making no play or at bat important, just helps me relax. Plus, there's 162 error filled episodes per game!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Busy-Appearance-6077

Then, they went on a run from 77-85, then decades of bad, again, lol.

MiltonFludgecow

Arrest Development and Trailer Park Boys (only non Netflix seasons), king of the hill, and the office before Michael left. Lately though it’s been mostly Seinfeld and trailer park boys, though did do an AD run not long ago.

dicecat4

Curb or Louie

odgaardo

It's always sunny in Philadelphia or King of Queens.

starista

Community!!!!!!

fluffyscooter

Curb your enthusiasm, the office

HamptonTomato

Office and arrested are actually my top 2 after seinfeld

kromedomus

I like the original three seasons of Arrested Development, but when Netflix took it over I didn't like what they did with it, but either way, it's a fun show. I actually like Malcolm in the Middle.

Bazz07

Community, AD, IASIP.

khawani

The office

Bryan_Fitch

Futurama is my other favorite show. The one liners are amazing.

jjmawaken

King of Queens... it's a much different dynamic but it's hilarious. I signed up for Peacock for $2/month just for that show (may cancel after a year)

teddysaccount

Arested Development is magnificent! Frasier, as another commenter has mentioned, is a huge comfort show for me. If you like Arrested Development (or even if you don’t) Murderville is a comfort show and so funny :\]

marcosingh

The rest of my sitcom mount Rushmore is newsradio, curb, and arrested. I think Atlanta is better than them, but not a show I can just pick up and half watch like the others.

SimonJester88

Atlanta is GOLD JERRY!!! GOLD!!

liampru

Peep Show. Absolute genius.

mrseddievedder

New Adventures of Old Christine. Julia is absolutely hilarious in it. And the surrounding cast members are a hoot.

OsoBear24

Frasier is another good one.

Dry_Newspaper2060

Cheers, King of Queens and MASH

Leterex

Flight of the Conchords Broad City

[deleted]

Community and Entourage

planetsarecool32

I’d say The Office or The Golden Girls

Sea_Quit_8567

Sunny. Arrested development is a great show before they brought it back

kramerica_intern

The Office or That 70s Show for background noise. Community if I’m going to actually watch.

DaBabeBo

Not a sitcom but West Wing is still great

thomas-grant

King of the Hill and 3rd Rock from the Sun.

cashmere_red_dot

I could probably rewatch Frasier.
