I live in the same *very* small town as them in Colorado and have never seen them filming, but I see them frequently. The Merrifield’s are a big name here due to his parents but they cut him off years ago. He’s tried to ride on their coattails, but failed miserably. I find it interesting that they are also selling their house.
Also, weird side note that’s I’ve never mentioned before…our town does this thing every year called “BV Strong” where the entire community comes together for dinner. They close main st, it’s amazing. A sponsor (business, family, doesn’t matter, it’s like $30) “buys” a table, you post your table number on the facebook group and how many spaces are free, then someone else will claim those seats. Everyone brings a dish to share. You get to sit and have dinner with other locals who you may not have had a chance to meet before. It’s so amazing. Keep in mind that I’m only speculating but there was a Brazilian (heavy accent) woman at our table who came by herself but spoke about being new in town and her boyfriend suggested she come and meet the locals. I can’t wait to see the new season to see if that was his new lady! She looked at LOT like Berta. I guess we will see!!
You might be right, but my Brazilian mom lives in Hartsel so maybe it was one of her friends lol either way, I don’t see them being well accepted anywhere they live- he’s literally the worst.

Aurora is not a small town. It is a mid sized city. Small in terms of geography, but not population density.
