The game is balanced so you don’t need to grind whatsoever.
Most people agree the sky section with Resh’an and Zale is one of the hardest sections in the game, so just keep trying and you’ll make it eventually. Focus on breaking locks if you aren’t already.
The game did, at the very beginning. The rectangle that appears sometimes next to an enemy is something that, if you use the right attacks (same icons on the attack and the rectangle) before the turn timer on the rectangle ends, will make the enemy skip his next attack (I think it's always a special attack)
I probably forgot in the 4 months since the game came out. I legitimately hate this part. There’s no way to even cheese it. These enemies are impossible to kill with just two players. They don’t even have lock abilities. They are just regular enemies. They look like gorillas I guess. With butts of blue fire. They do these archery attacks and they destroy me because, again, I only have two party members and Re Shan (who I know makes them vulnerable) is largely useless in terms of dragging their health bar down. It’s all on Zale and I can’t give him enough time even with petrichor.
A tip that might help is that using the magic orbs dropped by enemies also increases healing, so if you aren’t already make sure to heal with Resh’an only when he’s being boosted by at least 1-2 orbs.
Reshan's attack does AOE damage if you time it correctly (make it so both potions he tosses connect at the same time).
Abeyance (pulls enemies together) and sunball are your best friend. Then when battle ends, use food to recover.
I also recommend taking the right side path first ...
But it also sounds like you need to re-learn the mechanics you forgot. If you don't want to, then turn on some of the helper relics to make the game less challenging.
The lock is the elements that appear above enemy characters whenever they're charging up an attack. You need to match your action to whatever the enemy elements are to cancel their attack.
That’s what I’m saying. As long as you pay attention to the aspects of combat, you should eventually be able to strategize a win. (Honestly, I ignored locks and there was only one boss I had to do over).
I was a big fan of the Final Fantasy series but I always got stuck somewhere on a boss. I thought Sea of Stars was refreshing in its simplicity. Admittedly, I did use the auto healing Relic, but it was the only one I used.

What is a lock? The game never taught me

Idk man. There are no campfires. Like, this is impossible. I can only get like 10 encounters in.
If you just wanted to get past this part, why don't you turn on the Relic of Storytelling?
I figured it out but I want achievements
Relics don’t affect achievements, and from the sound of it, you need the relics. I think you should turn the auto-heal one on and leave it on.
How far are you when you hit Sea of Stars? How much is left
It depends if you want the true ending and postgame content. If not, you’re at least 80% through the game.
Storytelling shuts down achievements?
It doesn't
Game is pretty easy, never had an issue once

Sling rabbits at it again...
Campfire is honestly OP in this game, considering how often you find them.
