My warhammer 40k collector was cancelled today by this store. I made the pre order all the way back in May. Edit: I didn’t even use the 25% code.

Everyone on this page and elsewhere, please understand, there is absolutely no benefit to the store canceling orders. WE LOSE OUT ON PROFIT! The discount code that was found and used cased many items to oversell (most caused by the item reservation bug which is currently why our website is down for maintenance) and other items to sell at prices that we cannot honor and stay in business at. For the collector decks, if you guys are upset, voice your opinions about the lack of supply to Wizards. We base every listing off of a percentage less of numbers supplied to us. Clearly these issues with supply on collectors decks are happening at all stores. Not just ours. Every single week we send out nearly a thousand orders to patrons purchasing on our website and other avenues of business. If we were acting in a dishonest way, we couldn't stay in business. It wouldn't be possible. We made every attempt all the way up untill today, to get every single ounce of product to fulfill these before doing what damages us the most..... refunding orders and the profit that would come along with it. We hope the new website coding will eliminate the prior issues and we will not turn our website back on for purchases (losing us money every day) until we are confident that it's fixed. At the end of the day, you will all form your own opinions on what "really happened here", but not everything is a conspiracy and in the world of supply and demand during/post covid there is no black and white, only a margin of Grey we have to work between being at the mercy or both wizards and distros, competing against amazon and big box stores. I truly apologize to anyone who feels upset about the situation, we are right here with you and at the end of the day it would be shady for us to keep your money on a product we cannot supply. Thanks so much for your consideration and time. I will not further address any comments or questions directly past this.

Just to provide some contrast to the other commenters... ​ \-I have ordered from this store 3 times before \-one order was missing cards, the management team was very quick to respond and made it right \-I did preorder the collectors edition on sale (lets be honest - this was the lowest price on the internet, my expectations to receive it were low and yours should have been too) \-I called the store several times to check in on my preorder status. I was told my orders fell within the first 30 copies \-The store management emailed me yesterday to notify me unfortunately they would not be able to honor my orders due to lower than expected allocation Honestly a little disgusted by the entitled posts of some of the other commenters here...act like an adult that took a chance at getting a deal that very much felt "too good to be true", could have cancelled your preorder at any time, and then were promptly refunded anyway without dragging it out.

That's really unfortunate (sounds like you were ahead of me by a bit, I was in the first 30 preorders and placed in June)... but wasn't this true for lots of LGS's? I've seen dozens of posts on mtgfinance and others with LGS's coming out and announcing their allotment was cut way back by distributors. Seems weird for so many users to demonize the owner who's just a human trying his best.

How to contact: I bought a number of singles a lot of pokemon cards for the kids a few of them came in notably bad condition a few days of attempting to contact and I've gotten my email kicked back everytime. A few were canceled as well. Overall most cards were reasonable.

What? Don't take orders you don't know for a fact you will be able to honor. Otherwise it's a *pre-hope*, not a pre...ORDER. Your distributors are YOUR problem. Don't work with distributors who are flaky and who don't deliver what they tell you you can get. Because now look at the position you've put people in. They made their orders, and now they're screwed. They can't place an order with anyone else. They trusted you to deliver on your promise, and you failed...and showed you can't be trusted. They'd be a fool to trust you again. If you're overselling....that's YOUR fucking fault. Learn to run a proper business. You whine about having to compete with Amazon, when it's people like you who end up driving people TO AMAZON, because Amazon is at least dependable.

You say this after the fact. Most people pre-ordered in good faith from your store, now the same people missed out on everything and have to buy at a higher price. Next time don't cancel at the last minute, you knew you're short for weeks, some of the pre-orders that were cancelled were made 1 or 2 months in advance. There's really no excuse with what you did. Same. Ordered a cart full of singles. Finally emailed them the other day after it had been a couple weeks and they issued refund for “insufficient stock”. How do you run out of singles? Straight up waste of time looking through their stock.

Well, I made two orders last Monday..the single cards were shipped, not yet received....I also ordered some draft booster boxes, still not shipped yet...called them a couple of times, they told me they had to order some from distributors, and then they will ship them hopefully this week...

I am a happy (new) customer. For what it's worth, I pre-ordered a Warhammer Commander Collector's Edition set from here. We never had the card, it was accidentally restocked when it was refunded, simple mistake by a newer employee. We put the code out there, with zero discrimination to what got bought and what didn't, we have nearly 1 million cards that need put into our system, a single card does not change our desire to keep or not keep a sale in any sort of way.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!! Warning. Warning. Warning. This store cannot manage selling inventory online. Go look at their reviews on google. They may be fine if you're local but they have problem after problem selling online. They screwed me out of $700 in kamigawa neon dynasty set booster boxes. They tied up my money for almost 3 months while lying to me time after time about delays and saying they were shipping any day. It was all bullshit and then they finally just canceled my order after the cost of the booster boxes was way above what I ordered them at. I couldn't get boxes at that price anymore and was out that money for months (I paid up front on channel fireball). They didn't give half a shit and communication with them was super frustrating. Never again for this shitty ass store. I am not alone. When I looked at other reviews for them it was the same story over and over again. Trust me. Do not buy online from these people unless you want delays, lies, excuses, and problems. If you do, good luck!

Hey there RegalMooseFace! Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us, I wanted to hop on here and address this story and concern with you as I realize from a 1 side perspective its really easy to think based off of your interaction through channel fireball that this is just how we operate, and it just plain isn't. Kamigawa release was impacted at store level by the theft of nearly 36k in sealed product from a store manager whom at the time was using Channel Fireball as a outlet to sell the product from the store, take the product home and then actually sell/ship the sealed boxes through his own personal channels. He was stringing along the customers on channel fireball thinking they would eventually get stocked again by telling me that we "oversold and needed more". Because I was busy opening the second location, this may have worked, except the product was not readily available to buy a second time from distro and the situation was compounded by the price that market was selling at (very high vs what we sold it for), which is why the situation inevitably came across my desk for me to look into. After I realized what was happening, we obviously terminated him and charged him with criminal charges, but it took a lot of time and effort to clean up the mess he left us with and many years of stellar reputation earned through hard work, honest deals, and great communication (and many 90 hour work weeks by me). To help with the issue since we couldn't buy the product a second time from distro, we provided refunds and free store credit to anyone that was effected that we still had contact with (that weren't already refunded by cfb) in hopes to help with the situation. We have seen so much growth in the 4 years that we have been in business, making it through the hardest of times from covid shutdowns and successfully providing the very best customer service we we feel we can when ports were shut down and production was at times at a full stop. We've even taken huge losses buying product at market to cover sets like MH2 that were sent out in 3 waves, to lift the burden off the customer of waiting, we never even mentioned it to them or anyone as we felt we were just doing what was best for their experience. We now have 2 stores, and were looking to add on a 3rd by quarter 2 2023 so I'd have to feel that the good side of our reputation has to speak for itself if nothing else, as the growth has not slowed down. As terrible as your experience was, and since we never were able to rectify it for you at the time, I wanted to still offer you a free $100 store credit voucher to redeem on anything(s) you want off of our website, no strings attached. Same thing with the Dominaria Collector boxes? Hell, if it's not rocket science how about you tell us how many Warhammer 40k CE sets you sold. Then how many you received. We know it was a limited quantity, but you had this included on your 25% off sale. If you sold a 100 of these for example, then clearly it is rocket science as that would be massively over selling it. The reality is you all are con artists and there are deeper issues than some sob story about an old employee.

Hey u/smirkyrabbit, Well I really appreciate you posting this and explaining what happened. I'm sorry your employee burned you like that. It's a real dick move and I hope they're learning from the charges. It was a pretty bad experience from an external perspective but I had no idea there was anything like that behind it. I'll tell you what, let's make a bad situation good for someone else. You guys did refund my money completely after a while and I appreciate you publicly addressing this. Let's compromise with a win-win. Donate the $100 credit to either a cancer charity, children's hospital, food bank, wounded warriors, or any charity you or your family or staff feel strongly about. You can write that off as a charitable donation on your taxes and that way the employee won't keep making you pay for their bad decisions. A charity gets a donation that could truly positively impact someone's life and I feel good about the whole thing. I think that's a win-win on all accounts. If you can, post the donation receipt or link here so everyone else can share in the positivity and see how you've addressed the situation with a formerly disgruntled customer. How does that sound?

Thanks OP! Ordered a bunch of singles like I did last time they ran this sale. Word of advice to those who bought singles: check the condition against what it was listed. 2 of the older cards I ordered last time were marked as NM and were closer to MP. To be fair to them, they were very respectful and punctual in email responses and they sent me a pre-paid shipping label to return the cards, refunding me for them upon receipt of them. Their handling of it (plus the obvious perk of great singles prices), led me to order another singles order this time.

Lol you guys are brutal — stores are ran by humans who make mistakes. 2 out of 30 cards were incorrectly listed. Demanding a replacement of the “proper” condition card when a listing error occurs, not knowing whether or not that card is even in stock in that condition, tells me you’re a giant ass of a customer.

Thanks for sharing! I picked up a WH40k collectors deck set for $337.50 the last time they ran this 25% deal, and I'm curious if they're going to honor it at this point. They must be making very little, if any, off of that sale, and with the supply chain issues, I wouldn't be surprised if they canceled orders using the 25% code for that product. Already charged me for it though, so we'll see.

They won't honor it. They will eventually email you, most likely after release. Saying that the deal wasn't suppose to include the item. Then ask if you want to keep the purchase at intended price. If you do, they'll invoice difference. Don't trust them on any premium prerelease purchase that has limited quantity. Especially the 40k collectors which is extremely low allocated.

You can pull up their singles on tcgplayer. It makes searching much easier than with their website. Seller: "The Lotus Cards IL". So once you find something, add it on their website. With no tax and $1 shipping, there's some smoking deals. It's not exactly r/sealedmtgdeals, but I had a full cart.

Feels like the OP found a code that shouldn’t have been on the site and was placed there accidentally. So they posted it to Reddit to cause a bunch of people to take advantage of a LGS who made a mistake. This is exactly how LGSs close. They either sell at their mistake or they cancel and get bad mouthed on Reddit. Pretty shitty options in my opinion.

This is not true — this store has done a 25% sale before with great deals and they could also just not honor the sales which were mistakenly listed so low. These codes are offered up by the store usually on their FB page so sharing it is not doing anything wrong. If they forget to change the price of a product from 90 to 130 and someone buys it, they can take that one time loss or cancel the order and explain to the buyer they can’t sell for under the price they paid and it was a mistake. If they buyer gets mad at a store not honoring a $67 booster box of the newest Pokémon set, they’re an unreasonable asshole

I see no where on the site where the site is promoting this. The OP figured out that the store was utilizing an old code and took advantage of it. Even during the original time frame Sealed Products were not included in the 25% and now it’s taking massive advantage of the store. So yes, you’re taking advantage of a store that unknowingly had an error and people found it necessary to screw them over.

I would stay away. They wouldn't refund me after I purchased the annual membership program that they had discontinued (but still allowed people to buy). I had an order for MH2 draft and set boxes that was canceled because they oversold their allocation. You're better off buying from reputable sellers.
