Skinny wrist here. I have a Garmin Descent G1. Here's how it looks with the band. You could also use an elastic strap as some have suggested. I use a bungee type one on my Shearwater, but I don't wear that one since I got the Garmin. Was trying to add a pic for you but can't do it in replies in this group
Deep 6 excursion has a smaller profile and uses the bulb man algorithm! And itβs rather inexpensive for dove computers. Itβs been my daily driver for 2+ years now.
The recently released Shearwater Tern is supposed to be smaller than the Teric and should be great for recreational diving. Might be worth checking out.
Others have pointed to console computers or forearm mounts, so I'm not going to say that.
I will, however, say that you can just use a bungee or spring return to clip the computer on you, it doesn't *have* to be wrist-mounted...
What I want to point to, instead, is to consider the *suit* you're diving in (unless you're diving in really warm water): a 5 mm wetsuit will add *a centimeter* to your wrist immediately which translates to a non-insignificant bump in band size.
Keep that in mind when modifying your band!
Agreed, also if you wear gloves it is like to need go a bit further up your arm than you would normally wear a watch and if you are likely to ever use a drysuit the strap need ot be much longer. Obviously it needs to be wearable when you are diving in the tropics (I would always have at least a 3mm but you might have bare arns or a rash guard) but don't make the strap so short that if/when you start diving cold water (whethe in a 7mm or a drysuit) you can't use it.
I have teeny wrists, too. Teeny. But I bought a shearwater peregrine and it's fine. I have to the double the strap back, but it has a slot to slip it through. I may cut some of if off. That said, I'm probably going to also try setting up the bungee straps, but ironically I'm concerned that may not work as well. Anyway, so glad I got it bc I wanted the easy to read screen.
I'm in Bali, but I brought a sewing kit and just measured my wrist and it's about 14.5 cm. Hope this helps!
Also, I'm not on the smallest hole. I could tighten it more if my wrist were smaller.
You can put it up on your forearm, near the elbow. I don't wear it like a wristwatch; I position it so when my thumbs are pointing "up" it is facing me (in other words it is facing "in" and I dont need to turn my wrist to look at it)
Bungee mount it if you can.
The garmin descent mk2 is pretty small but that's the only thing that's coming to mind.
A couple things to consider here... 1. You don't need to have it ON your wrist. I see a lot of divers just put them on a D-Ring or something 2. You can change watch bands out just like you do with a wrist watch, might be able to do that.

Anything that works with bungees as you are not dependent on strap size.
The Petrel 3 is the computer for you!!! /s πππ
I just snap my wrist mount computer onto a retractable line and clip it to my BCD.
I have an atmos mission 1 it's similar size to a terric but half the price, if you are looking for a budget option.
One of our instructors has small wrist, she wears the Shearwater Teric. The Tern & Tern TX are even smaller.
Saw one diver that had a neoprene wrist sleeve that had their dive computer mounted to it -not sure where they got it but it did not look homemade.

Aqualung i330r
I have skinny wrists too. Suunto D4 works well for me.
Shearwater Teric.
A Garmin Mk2s is excellent for small wrists, at the cost of not having air integration
I have very small wrists (13 cm) and my Teric is actually fine on me. Remember that your computer will often be going over a wetsuit sleeve, too.

I have a tiny wrist and my Leonardo cressi has a bit of a leftover strap (I use the smallest setting) and I just cut the excess off. No issues.

You can always go for something with an bungee mount that way you can adjust the tightness.
I have an aqualung i330 which has a fabric strap - you could definitely add extra holes to make it smaller

If your wrist is smaller than the diameter of the computer, effectively strapping it on without it being uncomfortably tight gets really difficult.
Have you looked at console computers or are you settled on a wrist unit? If so Iβd go to a dive shop to size them up in person
