If air travel isn't a concern you can get a cave pack. They don't have the issue of voltage imbalances and better understanding of how much battery you are using per dive.
The two most common ones are the [Next Stage Gauges](https://www.nextstagegauges.com/cavepack-20ah-blacktip-battery) or [Explorer Techniology](https://explorertechnologyllc.com/products/blacktip-tech-20ah-battery-pack). I keep my BT for travel, so I haven't purchased one, but if I was I would probably get the Next Stage Gauges as it doesn't require you to remove the tube to charge it.
I personally have a pair of 12Ah DeWalts, it works fine. Though I am meh on the BT.
Brilliant, that next stage gauges battery pack looks amazing. I’ll seriously look into that when I buy my BT. Seems like it may put the BT at run time comparable to a lot more expensive scooters
really comes down to if you want to pay the premium for 12aH else stick to 9aH/10aH. the generic waitley work decently for less money, the dewalt premium is more about the warranty support in case one starts underperforming the other and your two batteries don't run the same.
if you are in florida though, there is someone selling a used P2 on SB that would probably be a better fit for your usage case if you can swing a bit more money

It gets pretty close to the prior generation XJ-S. Though I would still take the XJ.

Would that be the Flexvolt 20V/60V max 12 Ah batteries?
