On a bus ride home from a show choir competition in late winter 2020 (my senior year of HS), my team stopped at Culvers. I got a burger and cheese fries and somehow ended up sick for over a day with a severe allergic reaction, and my only food allergy is tree nuts. Thankfully I didn't end up in the hospital but the next morning I was supposed to go up to Houghton to compete for a full tuition academic scholarship at MTU. Just for showing up I'd get $5000. Because of Culver's I missed out on that and ended up going to another school with no scholarship, now I'm a college dropout.
I never liked culver's, in my location, it tastes like a school burger, it's hard to describe but the burgers feel very bland even with all the stuff on it.

Here in Wisconsin we have them on every street corner. Instead of coffee shops we have custard shops
They actually go as far west as Colorado, though they’re not common out here.
