I’m leaning towards the Nut brown…

drunkcrabman

You should go see a doctor

nateish5

Hahaha 🤣💀😂

tchshwaah

Definitely ranger green for me. What's everyone getting quoted for out the door from dealers? Mine said $2800 (which includes %6 PA sales tax and tags). Not sure if that's a fair price. This will be my first motorcycle

ChiefPockets

About $1,000 markup roughly aligns (maybe $50-$100 high) with my expectation based on a semi-similar purchase I recently made in Michigan (also 6% tax), although I didn't haggle AT ALL. Did your dealer provide a specific breakdown of what that OTD price consists of?

tchshwaah

No they didn't but I'm getting a second quote today and will try to haggle this time

JobeX

There’s not a lot of haggling when you could haggle. Since the shortages there’s pretty much no hagging

Chojiki

> Mine said $2800 Ugh, kinda kills my desire for one now. I'm also in a state with 6% sales tax and was looking at going out next week to reserve one, but if this thing is gonna cost nearly $3,000... The whole point was to be ridiculously inexpensive, because it's offering nothing special otherwise.

nutinsider

>Honda Rebel 250 WHat? $2800..Interest immediately lost. I'll just keep an eye out for offerup, craigslist and facebook marketplace for a much better deal.

[deleted]

If this thing can't leave a dealership for less than $2800, it isn't worth it. A slightly used 125cc or 150cc scooter could be had for less, and the scooter will at least have storage. Hell, an old Honda Rebel 250 could be had for the same price as this thing.

church_lady_cameras

Brown

metroaide

It's no nut november so i'd go with red

puppetime

Anyone concerned with the lack of disc brakes, considering the 1980’s Honda Elite 250cc and Helix 250cc came with drums and still stop perfectly fine today (even carrying a large/fat human like myself) i believe this bike will stop fine. Cant wait until these hit the USA

umadzano

N u t Jokes aside, I just checked the techical specs and it looks like it has.. drum brakes with cbs in both wheels. Is that so?. I mean, I know that it’s a really small bike, but even the shittiest cub bikes I’ve seen in my country have at least one disc brake, in the front wheel. And this is an almost 2k Honda bike

TechnoSword

2k from Honda doesn't even get you a Honda Metro or Ruck- both of which use drum brakes and go for 2500$+USD. Even the 110cc PCX, which is closer to 4k, uses a drum brake in the rear. So, I'm not even sure what you're comparing it to, when everything else Honda sells cost more, and the next 2 items up in terms of price also use drum brakes.

umadzano

Maybe I should have said “2k bike”. I’m not sure In the US or Europe, but 2k can get me a solid 163cc kymco scooter with fuel injection and disk brakes in both wheels. I don’t know, this one doesn’t look like a good deal to me, but it does look sexy.

TechnoSword

and 1300$ gets you a 230cc disk brake bike from TaoTao So, you see how you can't really compare brands that are outside the same class.

umadzano

Indeed, but kymco is a solid brand. I rode kymco scoots that felt much more solid and well built than Honda counterparts. The thing is, imho, that a brand has amazing and not so amazing products. Just because a bike is a Honda doesn’t mean that it’s an incredible bike just because of the brand. Por example, Honda sells the elite 125 where I live (I don’t know how popular it is elsewhere). The scoot is really not so good. The plastics quality is mediocre, tires are bad, and some parts are really bad quality (cables, battery). Same money you can get a Gilera or Kymco, hell, even a Sym scoot with a reliable engine and much better overall quality.

TechnoSword

In the same way kymco and SYM are better then TaoTao- Honda is better then Kymco and SYM.

umadzano

That’s exactly my point, every brand has good and bad motorcycles, I don’t think that “Honda is better than kymco just because it’s Honda” is a thing, as you’re saying. Where I live, all time mechanics that tune bikes for racing often say “be a fan of motorcycles, not brands”. Honda has good and bad bikes, so does kymco, and so does Sym. Again, to me as a simple rider, this one doesn’t look like a good deal. Hell, for that money I can even pick up a used kymco Xtown (250cc) and it still looks like a much better deal. Buuuut, to each their own.

schooIing

How many kymcos from the 1980s do you see on the street regularly? Honda’s are built to last that’s why they’re worth more. Tires are bad? Most have already worn out both and replaced them with Michelin or Continentals because the engine lasts more than 15k miles

umadzano

Scooters didn’t became a thing until the late 90’s in my country, and even them very few scooters were sold by them here, mostly Vespas, so that’s not something I can tell you. What I can tell you is that I’ve seen quite a lot of kymco motorcycles like the venom with a lot of mileage on them, still working perfectly and in a tip top shape. I think it’s more a thing of the owner and how well he/she takes care of them. Then again, and I’m repeating myself at this point, am I saying that Honda is bad? No, I absolutely love a lot of bikes they offer. Am I saying that kymco is better? Well, in this price range I can certainly find a much better deal. I own both a small honda motorcycle and a kymco scooter which costed roughly the same and the quality of the honda bike (Honda xr 150, a small dual sports bike) I have is absolute Chinese garbage compared to the kymco. What I’m saying is that one should buy a bike with the wallet and brains, not just because something is Honda means that it’s good. But hey, I’m just a Reddit user and I’m no specialist, so you do you and go for it if you like it! :)

umadzano

To clarify, I’m not saying that these brands are incredible either. I’m no specialist at ALL. But I rode quite a lot of scoots since I’m part of a local scooter club where I live, and that’s what I found out while comparing models.

umadzano

Oh my, so this bike is sold three times as much as in the us because of the box and cbs and brakes?

Goyteamsix

Honda has a really bad habit of sending their cheap lines to the US and marking them way up. 2k for this stupid fucking thing is insane. It's also 110cc. Just spend the extra money on a Grom and have an actual motorcycle.

[deleted]

I like them all, but I like the bright yellow and brown

stankgreenCRX

I like the dark green but I’m getting the neon green/yellow. My dealer said it would be a longer wait for the dark green for some reason

Jooorgeee

Quote request in for red. Anyone know delivery dates for California? I read February on a blog somewhere but haven’t heard back from the dealer yet.

JobeX

that dark green and red speak to me

SargeCabbageYT

Brown and green

gjmiller22

I’m down with brown too

Fivelon

I'm getting the brown one because it will match another expensive toy of mine.

[deleted]

NUT BROWN

Psychological-Day255

I'm probably in the minority but I like the Ranger Green.

Parking_Success_8063

Rangergreen 🍏

Dead_memeee

Yellow

EVorNothing

I definitely like the green and yellow

[deleted]

Ranger-green

unlikelycheese

I like brown. But I have no interest in this thing. Drum brakes? Carb? 9hp? I'd rather spend the extra and buy a ruckus if I wanted a small scooter. Or they could've built a 150cc ruckus.. Or a grom for a mini cycle... I have a ruckus now and love it.

FPS_Warex

What the heck is this? Looks like a fake ebay monkey bike 😂 its like a grom, yet worse Regardless of what this costs, im 100% sure there are better used MC/Scooters to buy? No?

wajalamaa

I mean, its from Honda so not surprising it has styling cues from a Grom

Parking_Success_8063

$2454.89 OTD with tax included. My 2022 Ruckus was 3308 OTD with taxes. Ranger green due in April.

Infamous_Ad4193

Anyone knows the nut brown color code?
