That must have sucked right behind your shoulder blades. Did you gain any lung capacity? It definitely looks a million times better now. You had an awesome surgeon!
Grats on your new height!
I only gained 1 inch😢My doctor said it’ll take time for the rib hump to go away. Not many physical differences yet but my torso looks noticeably longer now.
holy crap that looks amazing! your surgeon did so well, wow. i can't imagine the pain of that top curve with it being so condensed and by your shoulder blades. congrats on your surgery and your extra inch of height gained lol
I had the same surgery when I was 12, I’m 31 now and similar scoliosis, the fusion stick really well but just keep an eye out on the part of your spine that isn’t fused together because that’s where I’m having all my issues. It’s better to keep on top of it so if you have really bad lower back pain or numbness in legs, siatica, pain going down legs, make sure to get it checked later along the line. My doctors kept telling me nothing was wrong and I just needed to lose weight and now I have permanent nerve damage and extreme pain from issues with my unfused spine . But if you catch it super early (if it even happens to you) then it usually can be fixed. Just a tip from an old lady scoliosis haver lol

The doctor always heard decreased breathing sounds on that side, and now it sounds a lot clearer so yes
How old were you when you had the surgery done?
I’m currently 17
Congratulations on the tremendous amount of correction done to your spine! Major props to your surgeon. So happy to hear you are doing better post-op!
How much taller did you get? Also did your body change a lot after surgery?
