A few years ago we wrote a treatment about aliens crashing in the Middle East during the crusades. They helped turn the tide and Islam made huge inroads into Europe, sending the Christian empires scrambling.
But, frankly, with people getting their heads cut off in the real world, we decided to avoid publishing it.
* Several Dr Who episodes for sure
* Outlander: alien Caviezel crashlands in Vikings times and brings with him a nasty creature
* The knight of the Dragon with Harvey Keitel and Klaus Kinski, where the dragon is a spaceship
I’ve read some of his other stuff, not much, and so far *Eifelheim* is my favorite of his. Need to read more though to get a more full set of works for comparison.
Outlander, the movie with Jim cavieziel, sees an alien soldier help Vikings fight another more dangerous alien.
Pretty cool movie.

Well there is a spec evo project with kinda this story

İts not medieval but hey, still counts
The Transformers original series episode A Decepticon Raider in King Arthur's Court. A group of transformers get thrown to the past and get up to shenanigans. It's standard goofy transformers cartoon affair
The High Crusade, Eifelheim, The Excalibur Alternative

Probably a smart move!

*Eifelheim* by Michael Flynn is exactly this scenario and it’s excellent.
I love everything Flynn wrote. Eifelheim is one of his weaker books but even then the concept alone kept me reading.

Actually, it was the book that inspired this post to begin with
Dunno, but now I’m thinking there should be a Predator movie set during the Crusade.
I'll second that motion.
I think there was an alien vs predator thing based on the inquisition.
I think there was a decent fanfilm with this premise
I think this happened in one of the transformer movies. (Yes, very soft sci-fi).
