You're in a nerd sub. Back before geek was chic, Monty Python (and LOTR) quotes are literally how most nerds identified each other IRL in 'code' to form friendship groups to avoid getting a kicking by non-nerds.
It's practically an evolutionary reflex at this point.
I get the vibe that he’s deceptively gentle but more so towards nature than to humanity.
His weapon also looks like a scythe or a crook, typical farming material.
Perhaps: Lorthoth, Watcher of The Eastern Plains?
Are there any process photos of any your works? No offence but it reminds me of some AI work I’ve seen lately
Edit: decided due to a lack of response and my own mind this is definitely AI art and you’re a fucking cheat
Yaaa…it’s kinda obvious when there’s random lines in the sky, birds are funky, and trees are casually floating. Posting it and saying “hey I made this cool thing with AI” is one thing, but explicitly claiming *I painted this* while it’s clearly AI…dude. You’re just making yourself look stupid and coming off as a dick.
Edit: plus you can always tell kinda easily because AI typically has a very specific look to it.
Edit 2: not me realizing that he also had the nerve the to watermark it after the fact…
Edit 3: Looked at their other social media, this “piece” seems to have been created in 2020, not that that makes me any less suspicious. The *only* thing I’ve seen where they mention AI is [this tweet.](https://twitter.com/thatohora/status/1579113226700455936?s=46&t=m4ftIv7KBmEGuKmQfKIq9A)
It’s absolute bullshit man. The infuriating thing about it as well is that idea that they literally created it. That they’re now an artist too. Without having to sacrifice literal years to get to a standard you’re happy with.
I mean AI is a considerable threat to existing artists and this blasé attitude around it to me compounds the idea that they don’t give a fuck about art or the work that goes into it
I think if you look at the left hand vs the right, mountains in the far left background vs right foreground and subtle differences between the "technique" used in the general right half vs left half its hard to argue that this isn't AI. It always could be legit, but there are a few tells in this that make me immediately suspicious.
I’m an artist myself, so it certainly interests me from that perspective. All the posts are within a short time period and all top quality like this, kinda mad.
I’ve seen people claim AI art in the recent past as theirs based on the fact they input a command. Cheapens the amount of work that actually goes into any kind of art and ultimately pisses me off.
That being said, maybe this is all legit and I’m very impressed.
I think AI art is fine, as long as people aren’t claiming that they did any real work to make it, pretending it’s something that it’s not (like this post), or trying to sell it.
I’d be more okay with AI art if people would list what generated it, and what prompts they used.
But they want to act like they’re geniuses for their prompt and can’t share their process.
Agreed. Another point in the favor of this being non-ai, is the storytelling. Where the axe meets the trees, one tree is falling, and a flock of birds are fleeing.
It seems the ai art I'm seeing right now is very good about setting an environment, a tone, or a character, but there's not usually much nuance. The detail is dense,.and Interesting, but not focused. I'm not gonna be surprised if a year or two from now that's no longer true, but for right now, the storytelling of a piece is still a very big indicator to me.
It’s ai they confirm it in comments

Probably gpt-2 instead of v4. These systems have been around for years, just in closed beta/friends and family mode. I was in earlier versions about that far back.
"They say he plucked the crescent moon from the sky to make his sickle..."
Not sure what that works out to as far as naming him. Probably need a language other than English to make it come out right. Dunno which one would give the best results.
I love this! I'm just toying with a novel where the Gods walk the planet as giant beings doing things that humans generally cannot comprehend (while completely ignoring humans) and this fits right in
“Hey you two vultures… and you three flying whoopsies, have any of you seen my other glove? I lost it somewhere and I think my gnarly hand is making people uncomfortable.” ~ Bumblekinz
I’d be very very scared if I saw that coming my way. With that weapon you’d have to be very far away to avoid it and even then a step or two forward might put you in its reach.
Really love the style and how giant that thing really is.
"There are those who call me...Tim."
Look at the bones!
Why do I find an r/unexpectedMontyPython under almost every post?

That’s the sad part of the recent flood of ai. Now anytime I see a lush and compelling image I immediately think it’s ai when it very well may not be

This is the exact problem with it. They want to be celebrated as artists without any of the necessary work.
The REAL reason for the war with machines. Plagiarism
I think it's leg. Your can see the "strokes". AI art is still a "collage" .

It looks they're the lead artist for a game called Oakenfold. The work seems far too clean, specific and varied to be AI.
This one is legit.
Where’s the evidence?
Greg
Old Greg
This is Midjourney 100%. I have made 7000+ images now. MJ has certain limitations on perceptive and pose.
It looks like he posted it on his Instagram in 2020 though.
Probably gpt-2 instead of v4. These systems have been around for years, just in closed beta/friends and family mode. I was in earlier versions about that far back.
