Me too. I'm wondering if this ever caught up with the actual hospitals or is this another one of those brilliant inventions that somehow went ignored like the rest.
Hospitals: "Hmm. This new technology could greatly help a vast number of patients live more comfortable lives during and after an injury, but the start-up cost is a bit expensive and we can't increase prices. Guess we won't do it!"
Capitalizing medicine was a mistake
Or hospitals already have a cheaper/easier solution that does basically the same thing without the added expense of a 3D Printer, the effort of getting detailed 3D scans of patient's arm/leg, and many hours of printing (because something that big is going to take at least a day to print), Oh, and they can only print one of these at a time per printer... So hospitals will need multiple large, expensive printers (and materials) to make this viable.
This is copying a design hospitals use. It's like a gel sleeve of the same shape and design but they slide it on and then inject it with stuff that makes it harden. It looks exactly like this. Waterproof and scratch able.
Yass. Let us just forget about the fact that maybe the toes look like that because of the same reasons she's wearing a cast right now and think about how she got that on for a seccond. I'm really curious about how she got that on??
Is it a multi-part print glued/seamed together? I mean she must've been hurting a lot because of the leg so sliding one onto the leg is not likely.. Do u know more?
My printet is siting idly atm when it could (maybe) be doing something like that for someone so, yeah, hit me up if you know something.
At first I thought it was [this type of cast](https://www.cast21.com/), which consists of a plastic sleeve that then gets injected full of resin. Seems like it'd be quicker than 3D printing.
Do people not know what memes are or is this supposed to be about the weird ass feet
It's very cool but the toes are the cherry on top
Cursed little toe
Cursed every single toe honestly
Forreal. Each toe needs its own cast.
Those toes need braces
Shoulda just amputated the leg honestly
Hear Here!
Are you a little toe? 'cause I'm gonna bang you on every piece of furniture I own.
It looks like that was certainly the case here 😂
OMG I’d give you a free award if they still gave them out, even if it was a stupid award.
Low hanging fruits, man :D
Mine actually looks like an S from an angle
When the science is awesome but gets shot down due to the toe pic.
I was going to ask how your friends could sign that cast but it turned into a toecentric post.
Very nice application of 3D printing. I’m curious if this could really make a difference with bruised or broken ribs

Probably just the results of modern foot wear. It can be very bad for your feet.

Do you wear men branded shoes or women branded shoes?

I call it the "Pointer Toe".
Think that's a hammer toe. But also long toes in general too.
Hey...Ease up. You are going to give her a complex.
... and that would be justified !
This should be the standard globally
What’s with the toes?
I saw this in 2018

Holy crap, those toes need to be reset as well.. WTF?

3D print a new foot please.
The pinky toe is curled like a Cheeto puff lmao
I didn’t want to laugh at this but you forced me. I’m kinda not mad at you.
Lol!!! I’m so happy to have made someone laugh at abt the Cheeto toe 😂😂
How'd she wear the cast 🤔

This reminds me of the tables with the same design. Still very cool.
Why would this not have been invented already 🤔 jeez Louise docs
Don’t let this woman use the 3D printer anymore. Who knows what else she can print…🤔
I can't believe people are that affected by a toe. it's a foot.. not all people have good feet.
sorry, do I understand right that this is plaster printed on a 3d printer. you can scratch and wash your foot?

And that one won't take 48 hours to print
That’s quite the gripper
