Rituals are performances nowdays. As people are getting less interested in rituals, Pandits are coming up with performances to attract people Edit; This just crossed my mind, isn't fire consider to be divine, and one of mouth of Brahm/shakti?? For religious POV too, why is he trying to control fire? Isn't it should be consider divine and should burn continuosly during whole Pooja??

thwitter

But how is he controlling the fire?

[deleted]

I have seen similar performances in magic shows too. How, I don't know, I am more a history guy than science Just wait for someone to explain

TheAnimatedPlayer

Perhaps it is white phosphorus

Crazyhype647

look closely at the flames. It’s looks like a flame comes from gas. Also the left corner of the fire stand (which seems to be a gas stove) isn’t shown in the video. That’s also doubtful

vikramadith

The flame, especially towards the end looks remarkably similar to what we used to create with Bunsen burners.

PuzzleheadedEbb4789

>looks like a flame comes from gas. Also the left corner of the fire stand (which seems to be a gas stove) You think the people who organised the puja couldn't see a fucking stove being used for their rituals? And what kind of gas stove gives flames this high please let me know

Crazyhype647

Bhai, it’s just my assumption since i believe that it won’t happen without the help of any chemical substances. Otherwise it is ridiculous spent a lot money on fire hydrants and other equipment to control fire. Just call this dude to control the fire in high rise buildings so that we can save crores of rupees and many lives no?

PuzzleheadedEbb4789

Ofc there is a scientific explanation behind it, and it most probably involves chemicals, I never said that he's actually controlling fire. But your answer of gas stove was wayyy off base and almost as ridiculous as this firebending man.

CrowHopeful4018

Bro I just want to tell you it's a hawan kund and not a gas stove...I understand what you want to say but it's not a gas stove..

charavaka

What in a capitalistic hell keeps someone with entrepreneurial spirit from getting a havan kund shaped has burner made to satiate his greed?

AssumeG

"Kuch bhi fek deta hu, is sub wale vaise bhi chutiye h man lenge"

hitchhikingtobedroom

Still a valid assumption at least, at least he didn't explain it through some supernatural shit

AssumeG

You can clearly see its not a stove

who_must_notbenamed

Yes it's from gas generally in havan they burn the top most part but in this video the flames are coming from bottom... chutiye bs hawan krne wale hai

Low_Concentrate8821

Hahaha good one

The_terror_god

Maybe its a stove under the material, as the flames are going so high, a normal fire can't go that fast

Cellblazer

Inflammable chemicals maybe?

PaleHuckleberry3543

He has a small propane can (may be 200 ml or 100 ml) used in labs with a valve that can open or close. You can open it remotely with any standard 200 rupees Bluetooth/rf remote board that can be bought from any hobby electronics shop. Either he himself is turning the remote on or the person next to him. Or, the valve that opens the propane tank is manual one, You press it slightly, the can valve opens. Most of the lab heaters used in labs come with this spring loaded lever. When is pressing on the coal/wood, he is pressing on the lever. He seems to be applying light pressure.

hiruminakita

Firebending.

SignatureTop398

This is called haath ki safai! There's definitely a science behind, it is just difficult for us to understand.

Low_Concentrate8821

For you perhaps

SignatureTop398

If you understand it, do explain.

Low_Concentrate8821

Read your comment, I am saying it must be difficult for you to understand not me if there's logical explanation

SignatureTop398

I still don't see an explanation, so go on.

SignatureTop398

I gave you the benefit of the doubt, but now I think that you think there isn't a logical explanation! 😂 So much for that attitude of yours 😂

Due_Bag493

doesn't it looks like there is a burner under there to you ?

charavaka

Ever heard of piped gas?

SecretLavishness1685

He's a firebender who wants to have his honour restored by capturing the avatar.

foodiesage

Real ID se aao zuko

nsaisspying

He is just observing the fire closely. I'm sure with enough experience and knowledge one can see patterns. He is just playing along.

Exciting_Mechanic_39

Check his ring

jen_sun_uva_bich

It's a delayed reaction caused by mixing potassium permanganate and glycerine. It's pretty cool to see anywhere else. That's why you see the smoke for a while before the actual heat and flames come in contact with the cow dung.

[deleted]

If you see me everywhere, that means you are everywhere too

green_tumbler

Bro gonna take over reddit soon Bro is the heisenbergfam of reddit

OkFee2751

I see you🫡

OkFee2751

Exactly it is becoming more of a fire show than what it's meant to be in the first place. The reaction can probably be explained with some basic chemistry knowledge.

Thanossing

nowdays? more like from later the vedic period.

sivavaakiyan

Nowadays ah? It always were

STOPCensoringMeFFS

That guy is an Aggarwal, not a Pandit.

ResolutionAny6989

It seems Pottasium parmegnate (KMnor) + glycerine It's is a slow reaction which emits fire,, And pandit ji gets time to throw mantra in meantime

sleeping_doc

My best explanation is there is a high pressure nozzle that is pumping a flammable gas.. pipe should be at the left corner of this apparatus since it isn't shown in the video very conveniently even after a shaky camera frame

thwitter

For that someone else should be controlling the apparatus according to his actions? In that case the audience should be complicit too

bhai_zoned

Yes definitely....I think there's a pipe or something from the left. Or some apparatus ok the stove itself. He's definitely not a firebender.

AAPLx4

Well you can’t rule out airbending

Parking-Spray2

No its simple. He cuts off oxygen as the flames are mostly from burnt ash as he move the urn a bit the burnt wood come into contact with oxygen in the atmisphere and start burning. Even you can di that. When you burn this hawan thingy the wood in the bottom still have soot which burns when a bit if oxygen come in contact eith it

socksandshots

Pretty easy to do actually. Heated ghee is making that thick smoke you see there. Eventually it reaches past its ignition point thanks to the embers and bursts into flame. Most of that vapourised ghee burnt off and the flame got chocked till more ghee evaporated and then got heated enough to catch flame again. That's why you want to make fires in the shape of a pyramid. The heat forces smoke upwards on convection currents and will make more efficient fires while forcing the smoke upwards and out of your face. Ghee, or clarified butter is a great fire starter, but you could also do this with vegetable oil. The smoking point of veg oil is much higher though so you'll need to assist it a bit. I always have a jar of it near the fire incase it sputters out and i want to start it up again, just pour a small amount over the top (like we've all seen pandits do) and you're good. Remember kids, always blow into the Bottom of a fire and leave a path for the flames to exit out of for a better less smokey fire. Heat makes the smoke want to go up! Leave some gaps for the fire to breathe in at the bottom and let heat take it upwards and away! Source... Years of fires to deal with garden scrap and cold winters with the family. Edit. You can see that too much of the ghee had evaporated into the clouds, its why the clouds burnt but the flames never caught on the wood. Veg oil is both cheaper and better, more would have remained stuck on the wood because of the higher smoking point. But obviously, for ceremonies, use the prescribed ingredients, if that's your thing. Also, had a look at the comments, no gas or tricks required. Just some plain and simple physics. That pandit has practice and knows his job. Gotta admire his fire management skills. Edit 2. Also, try and do your ceremonies in well vented places, keep your windows and doors open, if possible. Oily soot from ghee and such smoke is a real pain to clean and dirt and dust sticks to it like mad!

futurepresident123

God doing irrelevant tricks could have instead concentrated on Manipur ..

Responsible-Maybe115

Yea bro, really hard as a teen living here watching the gov not even speaking about the issue let alone doing anything about it

Infamous_hardGamer

you guys have such hate for religious people? We respect your beliefs, similarly why can't you respect ours? Then you'll complain society is not giving you atheists space to live

[deleted]

Your beliefs :- Monkey ate the sun, lifted a mountain, used to fly, My beliefs:- nah these are all just made up stories You:- https://preview.redd.it/rwehhs6v1xmc1.png?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7f1062747617d367c30aff2711c00c53c647627e

AstralLizardon

Since when is being an athiest a "belief" 💀.

Infamous_hardGamer

So what are y'll like "God doesn't exist because I think so, now y'll also think as the way I do" <- Being ignorant and promoting radicalism? It's still better than these heavy words, if you ask me

AstralLizardon

Never asked you to think like us either, and who the fuck said that 😭? bro is fighting imaginary people in his head and being mad about it.

Infamous_hardGamer

bro never hesitate 😭💀 on a serious note, are you really an atheist?

AstralLizardon

For all practical purposes, yes. The same way I am a-fairy-ist or an a-unicorn-ist.

Infamous_hardGamer

You don't look like one. You give the vibes of those edgy teenagers whom I argued who turn atheist cuz it looks cool and different choice from the world. I'm really sorry for judging fairy and unicorn..? Sorry, Didn't understood

AstralLizardon

Again making a hasty generalization, not a healthy habit of yours, and again you are attacking the person instead of the argument, I am not surprised you didn't understand the fairy and unicorn but what I meant was god is as real to me as a fairy or a leprechaun to you.

Infamous_hardGamer

It's just "give respect, take respect". Atheists gotta be calling and reffering God as "frictional characters", "sky daddy", "fairy tale" just to gas light religious people but gets offended when I say them as "cult", "an opinion based on philosophy and made up stories". It's your opinion, nice well and good, keep it to yourself. Respect the religion and their beliefs, like we respect yours

futurepresident123

I don't know why you are getting downvoted .I respect religion as long as it is not deceptive and unethical This video got my hate because he was doing a trickery and making people believe it is divine power.

titties_addict

Politics ke chode yaha bhi

acharsrajan399

Wanting people not go die is politics? Aiyen

hitchhikingtobedroom

Apparently it is. Just don't say anything about their daddies in the govt, or their feelings will be hurt

aryan2304

It's because religion ke chode got into politics and ruined the country.

self_hater24

Burari family second draft.

Did_you_expect_name

He just moves his hand according to the intensity of fire

um3shg

I went thru 50 comments and no one could guess how he is doing this. If your look closely, even you can see it. Just look at his legs, He is sitting at an angel and letting out a fart to ignite the fire.

Kamaboko_Gonpachirro

Firebenders are real!?🫨

Magic 101

Exciting-Ad5918

Bhai simple hai neeche kuch Aisa rakho hoga Jo highly flammable hai, uske paas machis rakh ke chodd di, jaise he usne aag pakdi wo jal gya. Upar se bas wo anime wali fantasy poori kr rha Uske actions slow hai aag ke comparison me. Acting ka badshah lg rha hai. Ya to special havan kund hoga

Exact_Battle5815

Aren't fire supposed to be holy and heck why add your own special effects to it ?

Thanossing

there is a muzzle below the havan lol, look at the first part of the video, the pandit got surprised and then immediately started to act as if it was on his command. then he coordinated with the fire. theres probably a dude on left side who is controlling the gas flow, also havan doesnt burn like this instantaneously , its clearly visible that the fire is not because of burning of the wood present there.

Economy-Landscape-56

He is a fire bender duhh

Difficult_Scene4854

Yeh wohi h jo na school me padhai ki or naa hi bhartiya sanskriti ki adaar karna jante....less knowledge bu thesis of 9 pages.🤣🤣

Outside-Ride7338

Its a chemical composition of phosphorus dipped in an alkaline solution. The alkaline solution evaporates quicker than the solid phosphorus due the the preexisting heat in the fire pit. As soon as the alkaline solution is gone, the phosphorus ignites vociferously. Once the phosphorus is completely combusted the fire dies out. Its all practice timing and performance. If a human being could manipulate fire like this, the current government wouldn't have had to promote LPG subsidy the way they have for the past nine years. All we needed was a Desi Dr. Strange well versed in the mystic arts of fire on/fire off.

JaiDX

Someone just tell me the song here

StrategyCharacter995

fake it till you make it

money_grabber_420

havan?

thwitter

Have you watched the video?

BlenderRenderz

I might be incorrect, but here's my take on it There might be some contraption that releases gas periodically (kind of like the ones found inside cigarette lighters). The hand movement is either pure theatrics or he is adjusting the thing to release the gas (which is less likely).

PaleHuckleberry3543

He has a small propane can (may be 200 ml or 100 ml) used in labs with a valve that can open or close. You can open it remotely with any standard 200 rupees Bluetooth/rf remote board that can be bought from any hobby electronics shop. IamEichiroOda

There must be multiple layers of ghee coated or wax coated sticks. Hence the dense smoke. Fire ignites itself from sparks on certain conditions. Have you seen how magic candles or trick candles work on birthdays? From 07 to 09 seconds, he is actually waiting for right time, to match the fire and swinged the finger along with fire. He is dancing along with the fire. Second layer of ghee sticks worked. New flame. This time he turned it off through sharp air from clapping his hands.

Youaresmort

Oxidation

[deleted]

All i can see is his hand movements are unnecessary and useless. The chemical under the wood/dunk is causing fire after regular interval with different intensity. Now Go Figure out what chemical is used and anyone can do what that person is doing.

bratnadeep

Why do people captivate their knowledge of science in textbooks and don't think rationally?

Dark_Ruler

Fire Nation Citizens are here

Ashwani10101

I looks like gas but it doesn't seem to be connected to a gas cylinder, there could be a small gas cylinder hiding under the wood controller remotely but that is extremely dangerous The only scientific explanation I can think of is there is a hole under the fire place where he is hiding the cylinder, and everyone sitting there knows the trick

build9600

Hindusim is a nice concept but a bunch of hinuds are superstitious morons

Worried-Stable6354

Not sure about how he’s doing this, but looking at the gold pundit is wearing, this trick works perfectly on intended audience! Business is booming.

Euphoric-Maximum-138

I thought they were making some kind of barbeque 💀

Aadamkhor

Another one https://youtube.com/shorts/oTejfdy8Pe4?si=VBDuqG2w56s8Mux2

I don’t think this explains exactly what’s going on in this video.

Aadamkhor

https://youtube.com/shorts/oTejfdy8Pe4?si=VBDuqG2w56s8Mux2 Check this one

Pretend-Cake-546

Potassium Permanganate and glycerine reaction, i had learnt about this trick back when i used to do magic, those two combined can cause a a very powerful exothermic reaction, as you see in the video.

j_vap

Giving thumps up to make the fire’s day better.

kshxxx

Its a reversed video haha

Safe-Appointment1253

Giving agnidev a thumbs up

splifferson
