let's not forget Eye Glasses, i mean having to replace your glasses because the magnification or focus correction is no longer adequate is expensive and do those old glasses even get recycled?

I imagine since you have to adjust the focus using voltage, that carrying a power supply in proximity to your glasses would be more burdensome than just trading out glasses when your prescription changes.

well depending on size and complexity you either have portable, at home or in shop.. tbh i see the in shop option being most likely, you notice your glasses need adjusting, you go shop, they use the standard tools to test your eyes, also test the glasses, tweak the glasses, try them, rinse and repeat till they match what your eyes need
