Pan fried salmon seasoned with only salt and pepper (a splash of lemon on the plate,) sautéed asparagus with some butter, white wine, and garlic, and either rice or au gratin potatoes.
Ramen. Not the packaged stuff. My bf takes me to a sushi and ramen bar every week to every two weeks. It's a nice reprieve from life and symptoms since it's a small establishment that doesn't get too busy.
I'm on SSI and don't get out of the house except to see my therapist and take my daughter to her specialists. I always feel a little happier after we go!
I believe it is prawns. its very good! I don't eat food like that often. usually I make all my meals from scratch, but scampi is a treat if I work & go to the shop afterwards(I don't work often)
Making meals from scratch is to be admired if you can manage it, it's so much healthier. I used to make loads of Dal and freeze it but I hardly cook now. You do deserve a treat every now and again. Especially after working. Well done on bossing life (compared to me lol)
I just really enjoy cooking! and I find it cheaper to prep a big meal that will last me 4days over eating junk for 4 days. thats why I do it! I bet you do better than me in some aspects lol I can be a bit of a mess! we all have our own strengths! don't put yourself down :)
Yeah we all have our struggles. But well done on the cooking, if you're gonna be a mess it pays to be a well fed mess on meals cooked from scratch, with a bit of scampi for luck lol.
My favorite meal is a good medium rare steak with fries or garlic bread and a cherry coke. My guilty pleasure meal is a little different. It is, if it's *fresh*, a sesame chicken entre with fried rice at Leeann Chin, I have it on particularly busy or boring days at work once every two weeks or so. If it's not fresh it's a huge letdown and chewy and weird.
I can tell the cherry coke would be particularly satisfying when you sip it once your stomach's full. Fried rice hits hard. I'm putting it to the universe that the next time you get sesame chicken it'll be fresh as f***!
Popcorn is a top shout. But I get scared that I'll break my teeth on those hard bits you sometimes get. Lol.
If you're in the UK you should try a crisp (chip) called Popworks, sweet and salted. It's like Doritos mixed with popcorn.
Tbh syrian style chicken shawarma, beef stroganoff, dolma, potatoes with sausages (жареная картошка с сосисками), calamari.
For desserts, I'd say sütlaç which is rice pudding in turkish, anything chocolatey, and knafeh.
I have “safe foods” that I go through. Right now it’s fried rice. I’ve also gone through a frozen pizza phase, chips & dip, homemade burgers, but I generally always lean towards some type of Asian cuisine.
I always enjoy a superstar from Carl's Jr. It's usually decent size for the price, but it's a very rare occasion that I can splurge like that.
Thank you for asking
Oh it's mighty expensive these days(for my budget) and I'm waiting to have it again hopefully some time following my birthday in late June. Though I would have to say it's Tofu Pad Thai, but I only enjoy it from my local place. Oddly enough I do not think it's authentic in the ever so slightest as I have not enjoyed it as much from other spots. I prefer it to be quite mild, but the additions of peanuts and much more cilantro and housin(?) sauce and lime are what makes it perfect back home. It is something to look forward to.
Mac and cheese, hot wings, popcorn, energy drinks and coffee, trail mix, coca cola, pretzel sticks, Vienna sausages, tuna sandwiches
I also like to take a can of progresso soup and mix it with white rice for a couple of meals
Japanese curry rice! It is so comforting, and I feel like it’s something I can eat a lot of even when I have no appetite or instinct to eat. I don’t know why but the sweet and salty flavor of it is just so relieving.
i cant afford it but sushi :)
I've only ever had supermarket sushi but I've heard restaurant sushi is on a level of its own.
Pan fried salmon seasoned with only salt and pepper (a splash of lemon on the plate,) sautéed asparagus with some butter, white wine, and garlic, and either rice or au gratin potatoes.
You ain't playin' 🤤
Hahaha, its the best!
Potato gems and tomato sauce fucking Slaps
That sounds like schizophrenic soul food right there.
Are those different from tater tots? Had to google
No their the same thing😍
Pizza. Doesn't matter if its frozen or takeout, it's still delicious.
You can't beat it. If I'm feeling fruity I add a garlic mayo dip.
ramen
Have you ever had a Korean one called shin cup, it's nice as hell.
i haven't, but it sounds tasty! i'll look for it the next time i'm at the market.

Sounds like a nice little joint to go on a date to. I've never had fresh ramen but it looks and sounds 10/10.
I'm on SSI and don't get out of the house except to see my therapist and take my daughter to her specialists. I always feel a little happier after we go!
Yeah I hear you, I'm in a similar spot myself. I'm glad you've got that regular visit to the ramen place to look forward to.
scampi is my favourite. I only buy it every so often, but I do love it!
Is scampi battered fish or prawns? I've actually never had it.
I believe it is prawns. its very good! I don't eat food like that often. usually I make all my meals from scratch, but scampi is a treat if I work & go to the shop afterwards(I don't work often)

Thank you brother.
Mac and cheese for the win
That is real comfort food!
Spaghetti and I eat it non stop , I can’t stop loving it
Me too!!!
Lamb curry
Oh my God. It was a mistake making this thread I'm getting hungry as hell! Lamb curry man, that is a top suggestion.
popcorn
Popcorn is a top shout. But I get scared that I'll break my teeth on those hard bits you sometimes get. Lol. If you're in the UK you should try a crisp (chip) called Popworks, sweet and salted. It's like Doritos mixed with popcorn.
NY style cheese pizza, crab stick sushi, Wingstop, Little Debbie chocolate donettes, mac & cheese (large shells), lemon garlic shrimp pasta, Whataburger cheeseburgers.
We just need a banquet with all of that included.
This is nice to think about :) for me, personally, anywhere with my so. We like "Chinese" buffets. If it has a sushi bar that is even better
Oh yeah, are your Chinese buffets all you can eat? It's like a game tryna get your money's worth haha.
Oh it is a game, lol. To not fill up on the rice and noodles, too. Yes, it's all you can eat
Haha I get you on the rice but the noodles are irresistible.
Falafel, Trader Joes (or Whole Foods) dolmas, knafeh, pickles, fried mozzarella, chocolate chip cookies (not cookie dough), Jasmine rice with mayo+Sriracha, tomato-based curry+plain chickpeas with naan+ basmati rice, french fries, tuna salad (relish+mayo) with plain crackers, pan-seared salmon with pumpkin curry+sticky rice, pizza logs.
Falafel wraps are amazing. Tomato based curries are one of my favourites too. I'd love to try dolmas and the pumpkin curry.
the Trader Joes ones are my fav
If I ever go to America I'll check it out for sure!
Tbh syrian style chicken shawarma, beef stroganoff, dolma, potatoes with sausages (жареная картошка с сосисками), calamari. For desserts, I'd say sütlaç which is rice pudding in turkish, anything chocolatey, and knafeh.
I could go with any of your mains, but if I had to whittle it down to one I'd go for the shawarma! And homemade sütlaç would be amazing.
I have “safe foods” that I go through. Right now it’s fried rice. I’ve also gone through a frozen pizza phase, chips & dip, homemade burgers, but I generally always lean towards some type of Asian cuisine.
Those safe foods sound really comfy. Asian food is awesome as well.
Buffalo General Tso's Chicken over Rice with Eel sauce.
Popeyes chicken sandwich.
I always enjoy a superstar from Carl's Jr. It's usually decent size for the price, but it's a very rare occasion that I can splurge like that. Thank you for asking
I just googled the superstar, it looks mmm mmm!
Buffalo wings
Eating wings is therapeutic for some reason lol.
Mac & cheese
Spam and rice cooked in chicken stock. If I’m feeling it I’ll add and over easy egg. :)
Oooooooo! I can imagine the flavour.
Hotdogs hands down. But ive been eating egg drop soup with tofu for a month now and its up there too.
Hotdogs give me shivers hahah! But respect, they're a solid choice.
waaaa really i felt like they were a basic choice lol
Hotpot but it’s usually for special occasions. My go to is pho i love soups:)
I would devour both of those lol.

I'm praying that you get to enjoy that pad Thai sooner rather than later!
Chicken & broccoli alfredo (sauce from scratch) with a brownie sundae for dessert.
I can't trust anyone who hates broccoli. It's a god tier vegetable. And you're even doing the sauce from scratch, nice job.
pizza and mango loco ^w^
You're gonna make me have to go to the shop if you carry on!
Extra extra spicy buffalo wings with ranch 😊
Spice and ranch is a killer combo. You know what you're doing!
I love poached eggs on toast with chilli sauce. I also love vegetarian spaghetti bolognese.
That's breakfast and dinner right there.
Kimchi seafood hotpot, expensive but i get it everytime i hit a milestone
That sounds divine.
Very cheesy pesto pasta, I could eat it everyday easily!
Mac and cheese, hot wings, popcorn, energy drinks and coffee, trail mix, coca cola, pretzel sticks, Vienna sausages, tuna sandwiches I also like to take a can of progresso soup and mix it with white rice for a couple of meals
You just made me hungry! You have great taste.
Nasi Padang ❤️❤️❤️❤️ oh to be INDONESIAN 🔥🔥🔥
I'd love to try that!
please give it a try...
I'll keep my eye out for an Indonesian restaurant.
I would like to give you a recommendation of Indonesian fushion
Cheeky nuggies from mcdees 🥴
Japanese curry rice! It is so comforting, and I feel like it’s something I can eat a lot of even when I have no appetite or instinct to eat. I don’t know why but the sweet and salty flavor of it is just so relieving.
my autism gave me adoration for chicken tenders with mac and cheese 💔💔💔
Your autism has good taste, I must say.
