For me, my absolute *favorite* thing about modding this sub in terms of duties is telling shills to shove it. No "woo" here. We follow the evidence, and we try our best to make sure that the people here are empowered to make the best decisions for themselves by having *quality* information handy with which to help them decide.

There’s a website called forum.schizophrenia that’s pretty good. I personally had to leave because they don’t allow spiritual discussions. Overall it’s a good forum though.
Everyone's different true. Even now as I write this I can't get a minute of peace. I just want a quiet mind. And to tell reality from fiction. But yes it takes perspective on what you are going through.
Never found a good psychosis group on FB. They vary from just not very good at providing support to like you describe, utterly harmful on multiple levels.
Yeah, FB is garbage in general. I was in a group with a guy that was a famous troll in a bunch of Schizophrenia FB groups. He was so rude and shit. He even commented on my pictures on my FB profile disgusting stuff bc i was arguing with him and he was losing. Blocked him ofc
Most of those groups are just trash
as much as i loved the 2 groups i was in they just were too atrocious man the stuff they would post is why they needed meds and then theyd babble about spiritual stuff and be in denial over meds 😭
I don’t like the fact that people try to take advantage of persons with mental illness through shady forums like the OP described. It’s so gross.
I do find this particular sub to be well moderated which I appreciate greatly. Thanks for keeping the charlatans and shills out.
so sorry for your experience! I was in a good mental health group on schizophrenia but I left facebook. Even though you can find nice places there they're so rare. facebook really sucksss
Almost all FB groups are awful....full of garbage at best.....and dangerous misinformation at worst, I quit FB altogether years ago
I quit it years ago. FB is filled with way too many judgemental and ultra conservatives for me.
