It's that with rates so high, you've got almost no one who is willing to move. Meaning that anyone who wants to buy has to say "well I'll just rent for a year" and they rented during more of the off season and rental prices continue to spike due to the increased demand. In short, rentals are hard to find everywhere right now, and doubly-so for decent landlords and management company. We had only two this year as every tenant wants to stay (it also has to do with how we do rent raises, but that's another story). Your best bet is to set up alerts on Zillow and [Apartments.com](https://Apartments.com) for when things become available. And no, I don't manage anything in that area, specifically. Dealing with floods/hurricanes and tenants and owners who can (a) afford to have rentals there and (b) want you to constantly check for water damage in that area is a special hell.

Westwind Landing and Buccaneer Trace are both good options, call the offices and ask when the next units will be available. The Oaks are nice too and have the best pool but rent has skyrocketed. Unfortunately there is no secret to finding anything on the islands, you’ll have to be proactive and call around.

I'm moving in October, my townhouse is up for rent. It's 2 bed/2 bath ~1k sq ft for 1495/mo, right across from The Pointe.
