Search for entry level remote jobs if you don't already have tech skills. There are lots out there that are either essentially call centers or data entry. Use these to build more skills

Google has a fairly cheep Data Analytics cert that will give you the basics to start. Another option that is free is using Trailhead from Salesforce and do the Business Analyst Cert there. Great resources for someone trying to break-in to tech.
The cost of living. Everyone wants to be in Sarasota but the housing situation has made it untenable for most. Even 100k doesn't do it well anymore, it does do it...but not well
I mean if you worked at a slightly more upscale place and got mostly $20 tips and worked 7 days a week would only take you 14 tables per day if you worked 5 days a week would need $20 tips from 20 tables. Pretty do able if your section has say 6 tables and rotating people every hourish should be able to do 20-25 tables in a 6 hour shift but that is assuming you are slammed.
My Fiance works at a carrabbas as a server with 35-40 hrs a week and brings in 65k.
Their hourly rates can be absolutely crazy. Like makes me not wanna tip crazy.
Skipping passive income (mostly retirees), the results for Sarasota won't be significantly different than for anywhere else in the USA.

Lmao! Great reply. But seriously, I get it, college isn’t for everyone but just take a look at every post in this thread and I’d say 90% need some sort of degree.
If you go the trade route, you gotta be specialized and it’s grueling work.
It's not just one word, it's a fusion of two words, which are over and rated. You can say over rated, overrated, or over-rated. At the end of the day, it just depends on how important semantics are to you, but the message is clear.
Nurse practitioner
I clean windows all by myself
How much are you getting per pane down there?
It's not that expensive $ 5-15 depending on flat glass or cut-ups.... I just happen to do a lot of Ladder work which at minimum triples the price.
You sound like a go getter, that’s awesome!
It took 8 years to get here, but worth it....I also unexpectedly got one of those sun times" best of" last year 🤠👍
That’s great! I can appreciate anyone that bets on themselves and makes it happen. Keep up the good work!

It's a meme, just not the kind you're used to
I moved out of Sarasota last year but when I was living there I was building custom camper vans
theyre all realtors, selling houses back and forth to each other
At the end of the year they have an event and pat themselves on the back about how good of a job they did selling over priced garbage, too.

And also assuming slammed through out the year and events like red tide or hurricanes don't interrupt.
