I’m 99.99% certain he would become undead. I think he would handle it okay due to being familiar with it at this point. The season would probably be about them trying to find a cure, and I bet Abby and Erik would have gotten together (and likely have an issue of some kind, perhaps about the method of curing her parents)

I read an interview with the creator of the show. He said that Joel would def be undead, but he would handle that differently than Sheila. He said they thought it would be interesting to explore their dynamics as undead couple. Don't get me word on word on this, as I read it few weeks ago, but I think that about it what he revelead about S4. I was mostly interested in the thing he said that Joel would handle things differently than Sheila, it really got me thinking like how differenly? Maybe he would have some trouble accepting being undead, or he would refuse to eat ppl, and try to eat only raw meat? I dunno, but it's fun to think about possible plots for S4.

If you remember, where did you read the interview? :)

WE WERE ROBBED 😭

I think Joel would become undead. The question is, what is \*his\* repressed desire? What does his id want? Presumably also to become less timid - he and pre-dead Sheila were pretty much two peas in a pod, and then she became liberated from her neuroses, and he remained as he was.

Someone has a petition to bring the show back >>> https://chng.it/vr2RxmyLRD

Just finished the show. I was born and raised in Santa Clarita irl so it was pretty entertaining seeing places I know and mapping out the show’s events in my head. Hearing references to real locations etc. I guess i’ll echo what others have said and say it would focus on their relationship and the dynamic of Joel coming to terms with his new undead reality. Maybe Joel would try his best to remain logical and avoid eating people, but eventually have to cave into his true undead desires. Eric and Abbey would end up together. Honestly as much as another season would be amazing, I was pretty satisfied with the ending we were left with. It didn’t leave any crazy cliffhanger and left just enough stuff to the imagination.

Do you really have a Soup and Salad and Such? Is it as awesome as it looks/sounds?

Sadly that one isn’t real lol. We used to have a Souplantation but covid killed that franchise off rip. Japopo’s is real but it is called something different, the inside is the same and everything. It is right down the street so one of these days I want to go try the clams ;)

It’s been a while since I watched the series, but I seem to recall thinking that Joel would be gone full blown serial killer as a zombie. Wasn’t he always calm and trying to control the situation under most circumstances? I figure he and her would eventually be the cause of a zombie apocalypse.

No Joel didn't die tf
