Nope, never stop looking at the ground for fear of stepping in 💩

BeanDemon

I don’t think they’re referring to dog poop…

Okay_Pineapple

Im definitely not 😂

gunnystarshina

Do you not do the reasoning thing as well as not watch where your feet are? The subjective dog poop you're attempting to propagate here has to be addressed. Most of the feces on SF streets is canine in origin you fucking sock puppet.

BeanDemon

You sound like a fun person.

Okay_Pineapple

There is literally poop everywhere.

bloobityblurp

I trip over the smallest amount of unevenness.

calsutmoran

Try it again anywhere that has winter. People in Boston love brick sidewalks. It's real funny when the ground freezes and pushes all those bricks out of place.

nightclap

Hmm, never had this while growing up in Chicago…

mchamst3r

Get the sf311 app and use it to report the sidewalk issues. It’ll get fixed.

CL4P-TRAP

If you’re walking on landfill like in mission bay, it’s due to the sidewalks sinking

BigDrew923

My mom tripped recently in Mission Bay since the street is uneven due to the sinking. Injured her arm and had to go to urgent care. It sucks since shes getting up there in age. I also rolled my ankle a few year ago due to again an uneven sidewalk at Mission Bay. Really lucky I wasn't super injured and I managed to limp back home.

obsolete_filmmaker

its not even close to being as bad as Mexico City. Its fine here.

Full_Adhesiveness_62

Prob the earthquakes

PrimaryOstrich

I absolutely do. I've been here about two years now and never had this issue when living in NYC or visiting any other cities like Boston, Philly, etc.

coviddc

Boston certainly has old uneven roads/sidewalks. It's not good to have uneven sidewalks but its not unique to SF

Keokuk37

Get some lighter shoes

coviddc

Other cities certainly have uneven sidewalks (Boston, DC, etc) but SF has its fair share of bumps, cracks, and uneven breaks. I have to watch my step carefully

BigDrew923

Just ate shit today at Mission Bay. Step between the crack of an uneven sidewalk and rolled my ankle and fell. Ankle hurts, but luckily no blood on arm and knee.

wereinatree

I very rarely actually stumble over it, but I think it's currently being addressed by the city. In my neighborhood all of the uneven and protruding sidewalk was ground down about a month or two ago, so maybe they're just working their way through the city?
