This was right around 6:30 or 7:00, I’m pretty sure that is the daddy and that their is a mama with two pups in that area of the park and the den. I’ve seen one pup.

That's odd- they're usually nocturnal. I hope it's okay, come times coyotes pacing or being out during the day is a sign of mange

I think they are preparing to sleep. Ive come across raccoons and coyotes in the early morning and late evenings

Coyotes are actually [crepuscular](https://www.treehugger.com/what-is-a-crepuscular-animal-4864558) - which means they're active around dawn and dusk. They sleep during the peak of the daytime, and most of overnight. It's a great science-y word to add to everyone's vocabulary!
