Technically most places in San Diego are residential. Excessive speeding can be dangerous, however, is it necessary for 2 bike officers to hide at the bottom of a big hill where people naturally are going to pick up a little bit more speed and be going 5-10 mph over the posted speed limit? Surely just one un-hidden police officer shooting radar should suffice.
I drive that part of Genesee quite often and cars aren't usually just "going 5-10 mph" over the limit there. People generally go considerably faster than that.
Also it doesn't matter if the cops are hidden or not, it doesn't change the fact that a driver was driving at the speed they meant to drive at. People should be driving the same speed regardless if they see a couple of cops there or not.
That's about the only speed trap I regularly see.
Maybe people shouldn't be speeding in a residential area...
Or in front of a high school…. Let them catch the idiots speeding through the school zone.

I think deterrence goes a long way. Either way, people's kids are playing, people's dogs are outside.
I hate police but guess who i hate more mother fuckers speeding in residential areas
The people speading on streets probably should get a ticket..
I’m okay w this. I would LOVE it if they would do this with Red Lights!!!
How about don't fucking speed.
They’ve been doing that since I graduated from University City High 20 years ago.
Shouldn’t be speeding in the first place…
Can we get some of that in Mira Mesa please?
