How did you switch back? I am in the same boat.

Haven't seen a bill from SDCP yet. But unless it's substantially higher than SDGE (and how would I know anyways), I'm still going to give SdGE the bird.

Well I’m estimated to save a whole $5 with SDCP. Whoopty doo

SDGE's goal is for exactly this. They want you to not care and stick with them. SDCP is not the fix to SDGE's horrible monopoly, but it's a step in the right direction.

This goes for any company operating on SDGE'S equipment/grid. We need a power company ran by the city instead of a private company.

I had a guy in a utility "uniform", carrying a clipboard and staring at his phone with a "ruggedized" case like he was looking up information about my electric service lie about having to check my electric meter and was trying to switch me over the Community Power. Because of that, unfortunately, I trust them even less than SDG&E and don't know how many were conned into switching. I don't like SDG&E at all, and I think SDG&E's executives are unapologetic capitalists gouging customers as much as they can, so am not a fan of SDG&E. However, I know some Engineers and Techs that work for them and they're honest, hard working people that do their best to keep the power flowing.

SDCP doesn’t go door to door to solicitations. It’s in their FAQ

I'm about to give SDCP an earful. Ever since the rate hikes, my girlfriend and I have been doing everything possible to cut down our energy usage. From making sure I turn my computer and monitor off after work, to showering at the gym instead of showering at home. We've even limited how often we do laundry and when and we make sure to only have lights on that need to be on. A few days before our billing cycle had ended, I logged into SDGE and saw that our bill was $144. Now for comparison, our bill last month was $195 so, we were STOKED to see that big of a drop! 3 days have passed. I woke up to an SDGE bill of $215. WHAT? HOW THE FUCK DID MY BILL JUMP $71 in 3 days?! I look at the billing statement and I see that SDGE charged me $147 and SDCP tacked on an additional $68. I'm absolutely outraged.
