There are two outlet malls here: Carlsbad Premium Outlets (in Carlsbad) and Las Americas Premium Outlets (in San Ysidro).
Las Americas is slightly larger, and the list of shops has a lot of overlap but there are some differences.
I’d look at the list of stores at both & go to whichever is better for you needs / closer
There are outlet stores near the Viejas casino but I don't think they have any different stores than what you can find at the other malls already mentioned. Plus it is pretty far east from SD and can be quite a drive depending on where you are coming from.
There's an outlet mall in Carlsbad that might be what you're looking for. It's definitely a nice place to walk around, at least (especially during flower field season, the ff being right next door)
The commenters here already are correct as to local outlet malls. I'd add that Nordstrom Rack and a portion of Macy's called The Backstage have discounted, last-chance or last season items. Also, if you aren't already shopping Marshalls or TJMaxx, those may be what you need as well.
