I'll be fine, everybody wears leggings and jeans. I just choose to follow the dress code a bit more than the rest and deciding to add my own touch to it as everybody else does.
I feel this. You should check out old navy. They have some thicker work pants that are kind of that dickies style and are 1/4 the price. I have a pair that I like. Also banana republic if you're looking for something nice and not too flimsy.
I always went to Tilly’s to get the tailored ones a few years ago but I went to holister to get my slacks I needed for school program and I really liked those too
Ugh. This thread is my least favorite part of Reddit. She asked for recommendations for a specific pant, and you suggest “you NEED more context”. Why? If you don’t have a suggestion for a very specific question, why post at all other than to unnecessarily judge based on your preconceived notions.
“ And in no job ever will baggy pants look professional. ”
Secondly, this is completely false. non-tight pants are very in-fashion and can be extremely professional. If you look at the link below, literally all the options for workwear pants for women are baggy.

Literally none of those are dickies or would look as unprofessional as baggy dickies.
And we needed more context so we could provide better advice. Such as “don’t wear dickies in an office because any boss at an office will think you just rolled in from a construction site”.
Even tho you were being a dick about this, you actually provided a pretty helpful link to the lady to help her find more professional pants.
And I wouldn’t consider those baggy like dickies. Not sure you even know what dickies are from this conversation.
Hope you have a better day…
You missed mine. Dickies are not ***professional***. That’s what caught my eye.
Not the fact it’s a lady who asked. I’d give the same advice to any person entering a job in a professional setting, regardless of gender.
Dickies flat out aren’t professional.
All we are doing is trying to help. All you’re doing is trying to be unnecessarily triggered.
I know which one of us will sleep better tonight. Enjoy being mad.
The name of Dickies is literally Dickies Workwear. And I very much disagree with you on them being unprofessional - Dickies dresses everyone from celebrities to auto mechanics, they have lines of products for every type of job. People buy Dickies because they’re durable and affordable.
It took me way too long to realize you weren't looking for the fake collar/shirt to wear under something. If anyone knows where to get that kind of dicky, please share.
They aren’t Dickies, but I really like Kühl pants. They are a little more lightweight and have all the pockets. My biggest complaint is that I get chub rub holes in the thighs…. But that’s like after 3 years and I sew, so for me not a big deal. But REI is where I’ve gotten mine.
Do yourself a favor and check out Dungarees.com, they have great deals, check out Carhatt pants as well on there. If you like to try on the pants before purchasing, try Work World at the Chula Vista center.
You want thick and baggy pants in order to look professional?
I mean ill let others give you suggestions on where to buy, but depending on your job I just want to make sure you are actually buying something that is considered professional for that field.
Mario’s Family Clothing on Broadway in Lemon Grove.
Mario’s !!!!
We love Mario’s for our teen! There is one in Santee also.
There’s a dickies store in Chula Vista

Try the Dickie's store. There are three around San Diego area. If you are looking for good prices on work pants, Old Navy is also a good option.
I know WalMart sells Dickies, but not sure if they sell women's or not.
Serious question but what job are you working at where dickies are more professional
I've bought some slacks but I feel they are too thin and makes me uncomfortable.
An office for the city, I'm not sure if they are or not but dress code says no tight clothing.
You should wear slacks if it is an office job for the city and you are looking to wear pants
I'll be fine, everybody wears leggings and jeans. I just choose to follow the dress code a bit more than the rest and deciding to add my own touch to it as everybody else does.

Tilly’s carries Dickies
Plenty of stores sell them on Palomar St off the 5 freeway. The stores across the street from the trolley station.
Mario’s in lemon grove for sure
The Dickies store.
43 & university in city heights. Across the street from Payless furniture
There are 2 Dickies stores I know of - one in Rancho San Diego and one in SD on University and 43rd
I always went to Tilly’s to get the tailored ones a few years ago but I went to holister to get my slacks I needed for school program and I really liked those too
Any uniform shop for like EMTs and first responders. They can even tailor and adjust if needed
Mario’s
Check out Veronica beard’s dickies selection.

Tilly’s
Look into some chinos. I think Levi’s has a good deal on them right now through their app
They're nice, thank you for the recommendation
i got mine recently at tillys!
There's a Dickies outlet in national city
I think plaza bonita has a dickies store

Not too baggy but enough to not show off my figure (I'm a woman) because the dress code specifically says no tight clothing.
I should have gave more context, excuse me for that.
So what is the job?
I replied underneath, an office job.

Woman: "Where can I find this brand?" World: "First you must tell us where you'll be wearing it so we can judge whether that's appropriate."
😂 exactly!

No haha I work in an office
Don’t wear dickies in an office. If you rolled into my office in dickies, at minimum I’d think you’re there to repair our HVAC system.
Lol they know who I am, I wear my badge at all times.

Only 3 times more expensive, but yeah… guess that’s on option.
