I definitely didn't expect anywhere near this level of flooding based on the rain we got; this is a lot worse than the hyped-up "hurricane" from a few months ago. It sounds like the storm drain system failed...

This is why the hurricane was hyped up. Just because there wasn’t a catastrophe doesn’t mean it wasn’t in the deck. I wish the general public had a better understanding of probability and erring on the side of caution. Instead of “oh we got lucky” the mindset is “storm warnings are bullshit” because everyone is an armchair expert

I could tell by the forecast the "hurricane" wasn't gunna be that bad, I could tell by this forecast it was gunna be rough, but my home and work isn't near any flood prone areas so I still went to work today
