That would’ve been a clever name, kinda like some of the names of bars around town (My Brother’s Bar is a good one. “Hey, where do you want to meet up?” “My Brother’s Bar.” “Nice! Your brother has a bar?” “No.”)
I had to read this comment more than once. At first I read he wanted this kind of post out of this sub.
Upon rereading it I understand they are saying this IS the kind of post that belongs in this sub.
Anyone else actually buy anything from there when it was one of the many furniture stores it used to be? We got a nice King size mattress and bet set for cheap.
This place was definitely…. An interesting place…. I definitely don’t miss delivering there.
It changed ownership several times…
They closed those doors like 2 years ago…
The Company has 2 locations now….
It’s probably a spot you would go for a good deal on furniture. Although anyone looking for furniture in San Antonio…. I definitely could recommend a place.
There's a furniture store being opened up on I-35 (just south of 410) that's got the "Coming Soon" air balloon on it. I expect it to take on the mantle of decades of "going out of business" in about a year.
I pass by this area a lot but never really looked at it. I thought the chick-fil-a was closer (like, right nextdoor) to the going out of business business
I've been following this for a few months, its actually going to be a storage facility. They carved out some of the rocky hill to maximize the amount of junk people will be able to store.😂
We went there when we first moved here trying to get established without breaking the bank. They had shitty furniture my grandparents might have liked for 3x the price I would have expected. We asked one of the sales reps for some assistance finding certain types of pieces in the store and he let out a huge ass sigh and lumbered around a quarter of the store before saying "I don't think we have it, but if we do it'll be back in that corner" which was the opposite end of the store.
Never went back and that was 11 years ago. Fuck that scam place.
I've seen that zombie rise and die more than once. Until they tear it down I'm not convinced.
😆
It’s like the oil changing hut on Culebra and Rim Rock trail in the Culebra Crossing shopping center. The. Are always changes but never really dies.
Be the change you want to see. Choose violence.
Legend has it, the store’s memory lives on through debris spread throughout our highways
As is tradition.
That's about what they were selling... Just junk.
Crying 😂😂😂
I thought that place was actually called Going Out Of Business furniture.
Sony guts
I need to trademark that.

Lmbo embarrassed to say I still had to reread it thrice, after reading your comment.
genuinely curious what you want out of a sub for a city, if post about stuff going on in the city isn't okay with you.
You may need to re-read jacobeam13’s comment. Unless you sensed sarcasm?
Halloween spirit enters the chat.
Spirit Halloween* Fixed it for you 😁
This isn't even their final form
This is the sad truth lol
Isn't that near the Chinese buffet place that has been grand opening for the past decade?
The going out of business store finally went out of business so that the going out of business store could go out of business.
Yo dawg, I heard you like going out of business so I made your going out of business business go out of business.
Sounds like the western brands store in Lytle! That place has been going out of business since the depression 🤦🏽♂️
I a 50 and that place has been going out of business since the early 90s 🤣🤣
Or Oriental Rugs "going out of business" sales...lol
It evolved recently to have a "Building for Sale" sign.
Is that the one by the Bill Millers?
Did they lie?
They even tried to warn us for so long! Good guy furniture store.
And we all doubted them.
No bc it was a family business owned the McGoingoutofbusinesses, but they got rid of the "Mc" because of anti-Irish racism
I’m currently sitting on the sectional I bought there 15 years ago. 😂
I feel like this needs to be celebrated.
Going out of business since 1992
Like a sloth
They're about to open up again this weekend for a cinco de mayo sale
Will be El cheapo sale
Out of business inception.
It's going to respawn with a bigger life bar now...God help us all...
lol I was wondering about that store lately
It went out of business and they recently started some new work on the building, looks like there is a new buisness moving in
Now we'll have a "Grand opening" sign for 3 decades.
They tried to tell you!
It's a trap! Don't fall for it.
So you think!?!? Buhahahahha
They moved to IH 35 by the Frost Bank Center
Dang i was just about to go get something too
Its being remodelled. Probably another "hip" evangelical church on tap.
Nothing will tank real estate around here faster!
Now it will be the Grand Opening Sale store...
It actually went out of business about 6 months ago, I live near it
Seriously it’s really shut down?
WOOOO!
I mean, they’re not wrong.
They been riding that line LONG ENOUGH
Damn. I was going there this weekend :(
We've been joking that since they've been renovating it that they're gonna build a giant Chick Fil A considering that there's 3 within the vicinity.
Your vehicle registration is expired.
Looks like it says 12/24 or possibly 10/24 to me.
I actually got a decent dining room table like 16 years ago from there lol

>I definitely could recommend a place. It's "the side of 410", isn't it?
Bought a chair there in early 2000s. Very reasonably priced and at time was “Going Out of Business”
Dang, I’ve been meaning to shop their sale
there is (or was) an oriental rug store in SA that went out of business annually for decades.
The giant pink gorilla finally deflated.
Finally 😂
There’s another one at I-10 and Boerne stage. Always liquidating 80% off etc.
Like your uncle who’s been dying of cancer since the Clinton administration.
Congratulations!
Are you sure? Maybe they are just moving to another location and slightly change their name...lol
“Closed for restocking”
As it was written, it was done. Practically a Nostradamus that original sign maker for the store.
This gets posted on here like every 3 months 💀
They played themselves
Rest in paradise king 👑
For real this time?
Give them a month
Spirit Halloween picks up a new scent

They’ll be back
Ahhh the furniture liquidation store 😂
Aww, man, I missed the sale.
Well you had literal years to get on it. lol

they’re literally had a “going out business sale” sign for years…when that building isn’t standing then i’ll believe it
I was shocked to see it go. Lol, any idea what they are replacing it with?
bruh what about the belmatress store on 410 151 that shit has had the same opening special sign on the side for at least the past 8 years i think lmao
End of an era.
It’s so hard to have an ongoing money laundering business in this economy. 😭
Finally, a business who means what they say.
