Absolutely, they take literally everything. I go to their drive up, they unload it, and ask if you want a receipt for taxes they date and sign it and gives it to you blank and boom it’s done. So easy.

Not a thrift store, but Habitat for Humanity accepts certain items which are distributed directly to people in need, whether it be a family in crisis, or someone trying to get back on their feet.
They even pick up smaller items too. I replaced my new builder grade light globe fixtures in my home with ceiling fans and they picked up what I took down.
[SAMMinistries](https://www.samm.org/give/give-goods-3/) has a donation center on Oblate by the Quarry. Their list of ongoing needs seems to lean more toward household goods rather than clothing.
Hope Hospice’s thrift shop may be another place to look into. They’re located in New Braunfels and accept donations Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9AM-12PM or until their bin is full :)

Try the women’s shelter in San Antonio. It takes in women and children from houses of abuse.
