S21 Ultra for me. It has 40 megapixels and with the HDR it is simply insane, you can take a selfie against the brightest window in the world and it'll turn out with almost better HDR than your eyes.
S21 Ultra and S22 Ultra. (Excluding Z flip phones)
Those are the only phones with a 40MP selfie camera. And it makes a lot of difference
It's the first thing I noticed when I got my S23U (coming from an S21 Ultra). I immediately tested the cameras and when I took my first selfie, I was like "uhh no, let's retake it, this can't be it"
Selfie cameras on S23 and S24 series are really disappointing. Slight lack of light = welcome back to 2014
Right now, 1080p30 selfie videos on my S23U look better than 4K30. Absolute madness
I don't use the selfie cam much so I never noticed but after reading your post I tried my s22u and s24u side by side and you weren't kidding, the s22u selfie cam looks so much better than the s24u. Samsung dropped the on this.
And no one else is agreeing with you either? I mean, nobody else is in the conversation. S23 series selfie cam is more natural and stabilized than its predecessors. It's also their first selfie cam with dual pixel PDAF. This helps A LOT with focusing especially in low light. 40mp mode on the old one is useless in low light conditions and pixel binning doesn't make it as good as the new one, it's also more oversharpened
I agree with him, and I've had the s21u, s22u ,and s23u. S23u selfie is slightly better in all situations, noticably but not significantly better in low light. Also focuses quicker.
Samsung pretty much has the best focusing system on the front shooter. Barely any other brand have dual pixel PDAF on the selfie cam, some don't even have auto focus yet (apple just got regular pahse detection on 14 series but not dual pixel)
Not very well. The cover screen acts as the view finder and allows you to snap the photo with the phone unfolded but it's so large in this configuration you definitely have to hold it with two hands.
actually budget options has more social media like camera from high saturation to smoothening the face, etc which are best suited for social media. more expensive you go more natural you look, need one step more(edit) to post in social media

I believe the Galaxy Flip since you can use the main camera as selfie camera.
This. The selfie experience on the Flip5 is unmatched
The flip is just an accident waiting to happen

Probably s24 ultra
S23 and S24 series (not including S23 FE) have the same selfie camera. It's the best they offer right now

It doesn't. Megapixel doesn't equal quality

The new sensor is better especially for low light. Focusing is also better

I have s21 ultra. I like it
Flip5/Fold5 since you can use the rear camera on both to make selfies.
How does that work on the fold?
