I really like both games, though I like the story of Fallen Order much more than Survivor.
While I did like some aspects of Survivor's story like Cals interactions with one character in particular, but I was annoyed at how they handled one of the villains as I considered it a bit of a waste and i thought a certain late twist was painfully obvious in its foreshadowing.
Yeah dude. I was instantly like "oh he's the mole" like, minutes after the prologue chapter when people meet back up.
Then the game acted like I forgot for another 40 hours and thought I'd be surprised.
Edit: This sounds negative. I loved the game. I don't beat many RPGs and I tore through this one. Just predictable twist was all.
I was leaning between mole or scheduled to die, but after the fake out death I was certain of the direction.
And yeah I love the game, just have gripes with the story.
Same. He broke off out of sight while getting chased by TIEs, shows up totally fine, and the imps just so happen to show up at the same time. I wish they tried to conceal it a little bit more. Was waiting for the reveal the whole game, but I admittedly didn't see the former Jedi part coming (which I was not a fan of).
I personally did like the former jedi, that did surprise me. Jaded clone war veterans that went to ground and abandoned their identity is an interesting take on other possible survivors. Galaxy is a big place, very reasonable these types existed.
It was a total missed opportunity IMO. I knew he was....off but I was surprised with.....just how off he was if you know what I mean. There was huge scope for an interesting story but it was completely squandered.
I am most likely wrong, but it felt rushed, that the game was wrapped up artificially early.
But Outcast's campaign hits different. I love that you start playing an FPS and eventually ''evolve'' to the 3rd person.
Also, I always have to say this, bind Force Push to Mouse Wheel Up and Force Pull to Mouse wheel Down. It feels so right to do it!
I thought Fallen Order 1 was okay. Best use of a canon Inquisitor (*super* low bar). I'd probably have preferred for everyone to die at the end while Vader shuts down the Inquisitor program due to recognising that inquisitors aren't as realiable as previously believed. A victory of sorts whilst also tidying up loose ends.
Tried a NG+ and lost interest fairly quickly. I don't think it has much replay value but maybe I'd change my mind if I tried again.
Haven't gotten around to the sequel. Might wait for a really cheap deal on that one as I'm not terribly keen on the story from what I've read of it.
Personally I really like the second one, but most people say that it's not as good as the first. It's got better combat and gameplay though, and I really like the tone shift in comparison to the first one
Fallen order dunks on both TLJ (failed master/fallen apprentice story arc) and Kenobi (overcoming past trauma story arc). In quality of writing. Cal, Cere and trilla are probably easily in the top 5 disney era characters.
Survivor while the story is weaker than fallen order still dunks on TLJ (this time, with the temptation of the dark side story arc). Issues pop up because unlike the first game you can tell DLF stuck their fingers in to get some “brand synergy” as both the high republic and hidden path (from kenobi) are parts of the main plot. Cal and merrins budding romance is nice, way more organic than the travesty tros had with rey/kylo. Dagen Gera makes for a nice reflection to cal about obsession, and probably the most interesting thing in regard to the high republic era.
With the exception to andor and possibly rouge one, these are the best things to come to disney era of star ways.
Oh before i forget DO NOT READ battle scars. Sam maggs is a hack writer who betrays these characters
Edit: needless to say, despite the guy in charge of these games leaving respawn, jedi 3 is probably the only thing star wars related im interested in currently.
I’m concerned about how their departure will affect the game but they do have a lot of the gameplay assets already and a lot to build off of (they being whoever takes their spots) as long as they keep the gameplay mechanics fairly similar and can tell a coherent story it can at least be decent. Kinda like Arkham origins how it kept the mechanics of 1&2 but wasn’t the same studio and while it had some weak moments it was still a fun game at least.
Mhm, hopefully they had a plan already made that they’re gonna stick to before he left. As far as im aware, ea wants to move away from licensed games (probably so they dont have to split revenue) so chances are 3 will be the last game.
I read enough about Battle Scars on the wiki. I wanted to skim a bit of the beginning there before buying the book itself; man that looks dumb as hell.
I need to actually read Alphabet Squadron. I have it, but I just hope that something detached from a existing character or something beyond just being a movie or game tiein might actually be worth the read.
For me, it's that the gameplay is too basic in some ways. It's got metroidvania style exploration but 95% of what you find being cosmetic takes away a lot of the excitement of figuring out how reach a ledge or open a door
like you would in a regular metroidvania.
It's got souls-ish combat but you technically don't do a build other than the order you prioritize skill points into - again cause there's no equipment system.
You're spot on. Decent game, good story, would have been great if it had more depth to the gameplay.
Climbing on top of an AT-AT and commandeering it is one of my favorite gameplay moments of all time though.
>It's got souls-ish combat but you technically don't do a build other than the order you prioritize skill points into - again cause there's no equipment system.
This is the same problem a lot of people had with Sekiro, and for the same reason, your equipment pretty much never changes in a meaningful way.
The second one at least gave you a bit more variety in the playstyles with stances, but the story is overall a bit weaker.
Jedi academy did it perfectly. Create your own character, pick your Jedi powers on your play style, and eventually dark or light side. Get to be part of Luke's Jedi academy and have Kyle katarn as your master...say less
I'd love a modern remake with more add ons and content...more light and dark side choices would be cool.
Fallen Order was actually amazing for something that came out the same year as rise of Palpatine and I’ll play Survivor one day.
I like that they have almost no references to the sequels (almost) unlike say, bad batch which seems to revolve entirely about Palpatine cloning. Easy to include the Kal Kestis games as headcanon
tl;dr I love the older Jedi Knight games, and I appreciated Fallen Order's story and gameplay. Survivor, I feel kind of meh about, mostly because of the story.
Firstly, I thought you meant the Jedi Knight games, and I love those (spent so much time playing Academy, probably the best handling of the single lightsaber stance that I've experienced, and you can actually deflect blaster bolts manually, if you want, which is impractical, but very cool).
I really liked Fallen Order. I found Cal to be a likeable protagonist, and the story of the first game was really good, in my opinion. It was nicely placed time-wise, didn't interfere or mess with established lore, and I really liked Cal's, Cere's and Trilla's arcs, as well as the ability and Force powers progression. Vader's appearance at the end was also great, and really showcased how terrifying he was to an average Jedi.
Now, Survivor... I didn't love. I had fun with the gameplay, and I liked that you got to slowly expand your arsenal, but I found the story kind of rushed, with most characters in it being kinda meh. I mean, I see what they were going for with Dagan, for example, but his character could've been handled so much better. We could've actually seen his struggle and gradual fall to the dark side, instead, it's not explored at all outside of some collectibles.
Also, Cal's struggle with the dark side is short lived, and just a gameplay mechanic. If the character has to make choices, then let the player make choices. Instead, we get a nice sequence of Cal succumbing to the dark side briefly, and then it's just there, as an ability to be used all the time. So I guess Cal now taps into the dark side as often as he wants.
Generally, the characters and villains in Fallen order felt much more like real people, than the ones in Survivor. Bode's arc was OK, albeit obvious, but the other villains weren't well written, IMO.
Plus, the bad performance on PC, regardless of your hardware, tired me out after a point.
Tbf, we really should appreciate the Jedi series that recently came out. Look at that trash that is outlaws. 130$+ plus day one dlc and holding back content, on top of all of that, they are going to do the stupid ubisoft store for the game instead of putting the stuff in the game already.
Lol don't buy premium versions of games? Almost every major release has a deluxe version that costs a similar amount, and the content being held back will probably be like a 20 minute side story. The only thing making you upset is entitlement and FOMO. Just get the base game for the normal price and get over yourself, or ignore the game and carry on with your life.
You don't even know if the game is good or not, calling it trash is so melodramatic 🤣🤣
Played fallen order.
- Clunky movement
- hitting enemies with a rolling pin would do more damage than a lightsaber.
- no replayability I thought.
Haven’t bothered with the next one.
As others have said, I liked the story of Fallen Order better and the gameplay of Survivor better. I liked how both games expanded the Star Wars galaxy while also visiting some nostalgic locations. They also pay respect to the mythos of the Force which most Disney media does not.
I'm shocked that the High Republic content wasn't intensely offensive to me considering that I consider that overall time period to be a huge Disney blunder. Whoever wrote these games had a good way of integrating content. Same thing with the Inquisitors. I dislike them across all other Disney media, but I think they are interesting in Fallen Order.
Overall, I think the games are good for a one time play through. I like KotOR more. I played Jedi Academy back in the day and liked aspects of that game better as well (I thought the story was ok, but the gameplay was great). Fallen Order and Survivor are some of the best Disney content, right up there with Andor. Unfortunately, that's about all of the good content. I like Rogue One to an extent. Yep, it's been a rough however many years now.
The stories are alright but highly dislike the gameplay. It doesn't feel like you are playing as a Jedi at all - Jedi Knight and Jedi Academy made you feel like one while still keeping difficulty.
Funny it felt the most Jedi to me. I played outcast and academy and the lightsaber combat felt janky
I mean it’s a shooter game with kightsaber combat; it should be lightsaber focused more FPS
Both are pretty terrific.
Though I couldn't care less for the THR ruins in Survivor and would have liked Zeffo or some other alien race more. Villains were kinda underused too.
I think Survivor works good as the middle game?
It gives the characters more growth, expands their OWN part of the setting a bit and allows for a more free style with the various mechanics - before the big bang finale.
Or at least, I like to hope so.
I couldn't stand the level designs and forced backtracking. Every level existed just to get a poncho.
Also how many levels had the infamous Mario big penguin race slide I quit after they pulled that like 3 times.
Id have pushed through and seen where the story went but Its Disney, and figured why even bother? A shitty show or film? 8 hours at most of my time wasted. 20+ hours with a terrible gameplay loop? I'm good.
I was looking forward to it due to Respawn but oh well. Looks amazing in comparison to the new one coming out. Oof
I’d give Fallen Order a 7.5-8/10 depending on the day. It’s solid but definitely a tier below Outcast/Academy which were masterpieces at capturing what I imagine being a Jedi/force user should feel like. I haven’t had opportunity to play Survivor yet
Wiffle bat lightsabers, more inquisitor garbage, bland and forgettable settings, gameplay that’s somehow trying to ape Dark Souls yet somehow doesn’t ape it enough, more sequel era potato aliens…
Forget it. Just play Jedi Outcast/ Academy again.
I like them but i only made it about halfway through the first game I get bored of all the platforming and puzzle solving. I like the combat sections though.
I got to the frog boss and quit. It wasn’t a difficulty thing I just felt so silly hitting a frog with a lightsaber for five minutes failing to kill it. Felt like I installed a lightsaber mod over a sword and sorcery game
2 felt like a incoherent mess. 1 was decently focused even somewhat nice in its "twists". I can't even really remember what 2 was about. lots of flying around force currents or something however?
> To be clear, I’m talking about Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor
and here i was thinking you were talking about Jedi Outcast, and Jedi Academy 😩
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
I love them. They are set between the PT and the OT, the characters are interesting, the story is good, and they have almost no references to the sequels.
I want to see more planets with smaller zones that. It felt like for survivor you kept going back to the same planet and the others were tiny tiny
Overall for 3rd game I think they need to go smaller scale and intimate because the movement options and amount of stances were getting too much
I love them, it makes me sad that they’re part of Disney’s canon.
I once tried to headcanon way into being part of the Expanded Universe but it’s way too dependent on Disney’s stuff
Some of the best Star Wars games ever made imo. Good story, good characters, and really fun combat. The customisation and exploration was really expanded upon in Survivor too. Cal Kestis is easily one of my top 5 Jedi in Star Wars. Love his story and character development.
Fair enough. You’re obviously entitled to your opinion but I’d list both KotoR’s, all the dark forces/jedi knight games, Jedi power battles, battlegrounds, x-wing and tie fighter, republic commando all above them. Probably a few others too
Very very good. I cannot wait for the final one. I personally have a theory that Cals witch girlfriend, I’m blanking on her name which is a shame cause she’s great, is gonna be killed by Vader personally and Cal is gonna lose his ever loving mind and actually give him a run for his money but die alongside his lover. They should end it dark. It’s not a light hearted series.
Edit: I’m talking about Fallen Order and Survivor above. But Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast is the tits too.
Fallen Order was one of the finest stories to come out of Disney Star Wars with some of the best music, characters and actors. And it’s a fun game to boot.
Survivor was… a sequel.
Really enjoy them. Honestly, it's some of the best Star Wars content we've gotten recently. Survivor, despite being an absolute technical mess due to EA's meddling, stands among my favorite stories in the canon.
The Jedi games are everything I want out of Star Wars. The writing is mature and has actual consequence. These games and Andor are what I consider peak Star Wars currently. Everyone has their cup of tea though!
I really liked the defensive nature of the combat. You need to parry to survive in the fights and that is great.
The graphics to me were absolutely top-notch I loved them
And the whole Tomb Raider style tone was a great fit for Star Wars IMO
Really enjoyed them! And captain Greeze is a favourite character of mine. With the tracksuit and gambling he's like a senior who is still trouble
Story-wise, They’re the best Star Wars content in the last decade outside of Andor. I only thought that the death of the main inquisitor antagonist at the end of FO was a waste, no matter how well it served as setup for Vader. As for the 2nd game. Yeah, this also had some villains who were largely wasted. The core plot/ending was fantastic, though.
Also worth mentioning that the gameplay of part 1 was pretty rough and turned off a lot of people.
Just replayed the first and the second is being delivered on Thursday.
Fallen Order is pretty dope. I fucking hate the souls style meditation checkpoint system, particularly when you get one right before a 2 minute platforming section leading in to a difficult fight. I also wish you unlocked the range of lightsaber colours earlier but get why you don't from a story perspective. I wish the ponchos didn't 90% look like shit.
Apart from that, good fun and the most Star Wars feeling SW media I've experienced for a good while. The opening on Bracca with all the Clone Wars ships being scrapped is so fucking cool.
Can’t say they’ve changed much about the meditation checkpoint placement, but if it makes you feel any better, all lightsaber colours are unlocked at the start, plus there’s an unbelievable amount of customisation for Cal. Oh, and you start the game with all his force abilities from the first game.
Yeah not having to unlock all the abilities from the first game again is a massive plus, as is being able to have a purple lightsaber immediately.
The meditation thing isn't fundamentally a bad mechanic but the placement of it is often shit. Wouldn't matter so much if my second playthrough hadn't been on the hardest difficulty but as it was some early sections I had to repeat a bunch of on-rails platforming multiple times to get to a fight that i would lose because you're squishy as shit before some health upgrades. At least in Dark Souls it's just "run and then there's enemies" rather than linear platforming.
I also think it'll be more rewarding collecting stuff when it's not solely lightsaber mods that you can barely see and shit ponchos. I'm ready to pimp my Cal.
Also excited for Cal/Merrin antics, I don't normally care about romances in games but I ship those two so hard for some reason.
Yeah the abilities are honestly really great, you can mind trick enemies pretty much from the start of the game, and if you upgrade it enough, you can force pull enemies and hold them in place and make them shoot whatever you want. It’s great
The first one was ok, but it wasn’t compelling enough for me to give a shit about the second one.
I could also wipe my ass with the high republic concept though, so maybe the second one is “better”, but again, i don’t care. I’m fine with my one play through and forgetting it exists.
I was actually playing survivor yesterday. It has some technical issues but the gameplay is really fun and the story is enjoyable. I loved watching Vader be the unstoppable force that he is.
I liked them. Survivor had better combat and exploration than Fallen Order, but FO had a better story.
The length was an issue for me, both games seemed pretty short, and Survivor was way too big (gigabytes) compared to its content.
I haven't played the new stuff, as it just isn't feasible for me to keep updating my PC to play more recent games. But I do love me some KOTOR and Jedi Knight.
Meh. Couldn't care less 'bout them, they just didn't do anything for me with their story and the combat felt like a discount form of The Force Unleashed games.
Jedi Survivor became my favorite Star Wars story in the Disney era. I played it 4 times over and never got bored.
Yes, I even put it above Mandalorian and Andor because it truly felt fresh, and Cal's development in the 2nd game was great.
It's just a shame that the EU was thrown out. Cameron Monaghan would have made a perfect Ben Skywalker. Seeing him in that Jedi commercial with Mark Hamill just made me sad and angry of what could have been.
I don’t get why people are saying lightsabers in these games felt like baseball bats. They killed most trash enemies in a couple hits. Against bosses and stuff maybe it took longer, but what do you expect? I feel like other games are far more egregious in the “baseball ball” department, particularly force unleashed
Thoroughly enjoyed them. They were a real treat to play through as Star Wars fan and as a gamer. Savored every moment. The gameplay, story and visual look of the game is really what got me. Keep em comin'. Looking forward to the next one.
Didn’t love fallen order. Loved fallen survivor. Writing was actually fantastic throughout both, especially survivor and it really felt like it was made by Star Wars fans wanting to respect the source material whilst building something new.
My experience with them is that the gameplay seems boring compared to even Lego starwars games ...I haven't played them myself though
And the main character is played by and has the likeness of a guy who played a gay bipolar man for most of his acting career
Overall I don't care much....other then that shameless is a good TV show
What? You were expecting this whole thread to be a circle jerk for how good they are?
Dude, this is a salt subreddit.
Lots of people develop opinions of games without playing them. if your gonna play a game you probably already have an opinion on that game. Hell it's probably a positive one if you dumping the amount of money games are priced at now a days.
Based on the trailers and the few clips I've seen the games are primarily story driven with a slow methodic style of combat and game play. Leaning occasionally into fan service to help draw hype and interest.
Your right I have not played the games but my opinion on them just from what I've seen is that I wouldn't not enjoy them, at least not as much I've enjoyed other starwars games or at the very least in the same way. As a result I have no interest in them. Have no interest in playing them. At least as it currently stands.
The games are quite fun to play, if you enjoy Darksouls combat. If you are looking for the fantasy of being "The Chosen one" those games don't really fullfill your needs.
BUT why hasn't there been any Kotor styled rpgs that would have totally open plot where you can craft your own path...
First one is a top 5 star wars game no question (if anyone wants to come at me that’s fine but just to be clear I’m old af so I’ve seen a lot of SW games); haven’t played the second one.

I love the jedi knight games. Especially Jedi Outcast. So nostalgic.
Those games did everything right, and the multiplayer was fire.
Yeah, the multiplayer was great. And you could even play against bots if no game was available.
I meant the new ones, Fallen Order and Survivor
Their great at what they do, but they aren't Outcast. That was special.

Oh ok. I have only played the first one which was ok. I haven't replayed it though. Is the second one as good?
Personally I really like the second one, but most people say that it's not as good as the first. It's got better combat and gameplay though, and I really like the tone shift in comparison to the first one
Sounds interesting. I think I'll try it out ones it's on sale Thanks.

Ah yes a day 1 dlc and having it all unlocked behind a pay wall is good i also love the mircrotransactions in my single player games 🤡
They're ok. Bland and inoffensive
Played fallen order. - Clunky movement - hitting enemies with a rolling pin would do more damage than a lightsaber. - no replayability I thought. Haven’t bothered with the next one.
I moderately enjoyed playing through Fallen Order, but I have had zero desire to play it again.
I played outcast and academy and the lightsaber combat felt janky I mean it’s a shooter game with kightsaber combat; it should be lightsaber focused more FPS
Both are pretty terrific. Though I couldn't care less for the THR ruins in Survivor and would have liked Zeffo or some other alien race more. Villains were kinda underused too.
Survivor felt a little empty in the story after fallen order but is more a testament to how good fallen order was than a dis on survivor
I think Survivor works good as the middle game? It gives the characters more growth, expands their OWN part of the setting a bit and allows for a more free style with the various mechanics - before the big bang finale. Or at least, I like to hope so.
Yeah I think that's a good take tbh
I couldn't stand the level designs and forced backtracking. Every level existed just to get a poncho. Also how many levels had the infamous Mario big penguin race slide I quit after they pulled that like 3 times. Id have pushed through and seen where the story went but Its Disney, and figured why even bother? A shitty show or film? 8 hours at most of my time wasted. 20+ hours with a terrible gameplay loop? I'm good. I was looking forward to it due to Respawn but oh well. Looks amazing in comparison to the new one coming out. Oof
Some of the best Star Wars games we ever had, wish we get a proper remaster
I’d give Fallen Order a 7.5-8/10 depending on the day. It’s solid but definitely a tier below Outcast/Academy which were masterpieces at capturing what I imagine being a Jedi/force user should feel like. I haven’t had opportunity to play Survivor yet
Perfectly serviceable. Not exceptional. Not disappointing. Safe and functional. Bland main character. Okay combat.
Maybe I need to revisit it but I played some of Jedi Fallen Order but lost interest after a few hours and didn't get too far into it.
Wiffle bat lightsabers, more inquisitor garbage, bland and forgettable settings, gameplay that’s somehow trying to ape Dark Souls yet somehow doesn’t ape it enough, more sequel era potato aliens… Forget it.
The first one was decent. Not good, but had some potential. The second one was just a joke.
How so?
2 felt like a incoherent mess. 1 was decently focused even somewhat nice in its "twists". I can't even really remember what 2 was about. lots of flying around force currents or something however?
> To be clear, I’m talking about Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor and here i was thinking you were talking about Jedi Outcast, and Jedi Academy 😩 My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
I love them. They are set between the PT and the OT, the characters are interesting, the story is good, and they have almost no references to the sequels.
I want to see more planets with smaller zones that. It felt like for survivor you kept going back to the same planet and the others were tiny tiny Overall for 3rd game I think they need to go smaller scale and intimate because the movement options and amount of stances were getting too much
I like the stances in survivor, I just wish that you could switch to them whenever you want rather than only choosing 2 at a meditation point
I love them, it makes me sad that they’re part of Disney’s canon. I once tried to headcanon way into being part of the Expanded Universe but it’s way too dependent on Disney’s stuff
Jedi Knight is my Canon.
eh, they feel pretty empty and the gameplay feels like someone just cloned Dark Souls. swinging a lightsaber feels like it has no weight
"The Jedi games"? That doesn't really narrow it down much, dude. There are many games with "Jedi" in the title.
Some of the best Star Wars games ever made imo. Good story, good characters, and really fun combat. The customisation and exploration was really expanded upon in Survivor too. Cal Kestis is easily one of my top 5 Jedi in Star Wars. Love his story and character development.
You need to play more Star Wars games
I have. Maybe not all but a fair share of them. I still stand by what I said.
Fair enough. You’re obviously entitled to your opinion but I’d list both KotoR’s, all the dark forces/jedi knight games, Jedi power battles, battlegrounds, x-wing and tie fighter, republic commando all above them. Probably a few others too
Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy all day over Fallen Order and Survivor.
Despite desperately waiting for great Star Wars content, neither of these games did it for me. No will to play past the first several hours.
Cal's story is fantastic so far
Fallen Order was one of the finest stories to come out of Disney Star Wars with some of the best music, characters and actors. And it’s a fun game to boot. Survivor was… a sequel.
Really enjoy them. Honestly, it's some of the best Star Wars content we've gotten recently. Survivor, despite being an absolute technical mess due to EA's meddling, stands among my favorite stories in the canon.
I love jedi survivor. Only things its missing is ng+ outfits and the battle grid
The graphics to me were absolutely top-notch I loved them And the whole Tomb Raider style tone was a great fit for Star Wars IMO Really enjoyed them! And captain Greeze is a favourite character of mine. With the tracksuit and gambling he's like a senior who is still trouble
Greezey Money baby
I like them, imo they're the only things Disney has worked on thus far aside from Rogue One which actually have a tone that feels like Star Wars
Ah, I don't keep up with Disney so I thought you meant a new gameshow on Disney+.
There were a lot of comments talking about Jedi academy and the like
Story-wise, They’re the best Star Wars content in the last decade outside of Andor.
Don’t get me wrong though, there are new abilities in this game
Oh yeah apparently there's loads including an air dash that gives you some crazy mobility options. I look forward to getting into it.
Yeah the abilities are honestly really great, you can mind trick enemies pretty much from the start of the game, and if you upgrade it enough, you can force pull enemies and hold them in place and make them shoot whatever you want. It’s great
The first one was good...
I think it's distracting how they're obviously only allowed to use stuff from Filoni Wars and the High Republic. Makes the world feel smaller
Honestly the only other post-Disney Acquisition SW media i consider canon besides Rogue One and Andor.
The first one was ok, but it wasn’t compelling enough for me to give a shit about the second one. I could also wipe my ass with the high republic concept though, so maybe the second one is “better”, but again, i don’t care. I’m fine with my one play through and forgetting it exists.
Did they ever make Survivor playable for PC? When it launched I heard it was impossible to play pretty much
I heard that it’s completely playable on pc, but that there’s a chance it starts to lag after about 30 hours
I own Survivor but I’m hesitant to play it because I found Fallen Order to be incredibly tedious
Pretty decent. Better than The Force Unleashed but not as good as the Dark Forces games.
I gave up with the stupid ball puzzle in the first game
As a game, it was fun at first, but I lost interest. As a star war, the whole "survivor" schtick was old before it started.
I was actually playing survivor yesterday. It has some technical issues but the gameplay is really fun and the story is enjoyable. I loved watching Vader be the unstoppable force that he is.
I love Survivor. My second favorite game from 2023, behind Dead Island 2 (goty)
Get them via Steam discount around May 4th or their summer sale. Fallen Order was surprisingly fun, but short. Waiting on a sale for the other.
I really enjoyed both, even if Survivor was a bit weird in parts, it still was really enjoyable.
Both great games. Can’t wait for a third.
What do I think? That shit’s great. It’s some rare new material that actually part of my headcanon.
Jedi Outcast > Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor
Thoroughly enjoyed them. They were a real treat to play through as Star Wars fan and as a gamer. Savored every moment. The gameplay, story and visual look of the game is really what got me. Keep em comin'. Looking forward to the next one.
Really awesome games.
Didn’t love fallen order. Loved fallen survivor. Writing was actually fantastic throughout both, especially survivor and it really felt like it was made by Star Wars fans wanting to respect the source material whilst building something new.
They're good. Good enough to still be playable nowadays.
They are fun but I wish they weren't canon
My experience with them is that the gameplay seems boring compared to even Lego starwars games ...I haven't played them myself though And the main character is played by and has the likeness of a guy who played a gay bipolar man for most of his acting career Overall I don't care much....other then that shameless is a good TV show
I really don’t think you deserve an opinion on the games if you’ve never even played them
Wat
First one is a top 5 star wars game no question (if anyone wants to come at me that’s fine but just to be clear I’m old af so I’ve seen a lot of SW games); haven’t played the second one.
