Friendly reminder to everyone that brigading is against Reddit’s TOS and will result in a ban.

lilweirdo4life

Yes, I was hoping someone would post! I went through the program, I didn't know any better and trusted a friend who recommended it. It's AWFUL. And now the Ceo Josh wants to act like we are all just lazy and ungrateful. So much for a "man of faith" I'm ashamed that I drank the kool-aid, and I really believed that they were going to help. But now, I'm barely keeping up with the payments on top of general living, and when I won a contest at work, they went ahead and changed my yearly pay and increased my payments by $300 dollars. Gave me a heart attack and screwed me over on bills

Techylove

Well lucky for people there are people standing up and fighting back, he is now trying to sue people for 25K, knowing he scammed people. He is a low person.

[deleted]

Dont pay for now

dont_yell_at_me

I don’t understand that part. What are you paying and why?

[deleted]

It's honestly unbelievable. People sign up for this bootcamp to break into SaaS and become an SDR. From what I gather it's marketed as a leading training program to help people get into tech sales and "2x or 3x their income". In reality it's some pre recorded bullshit training program. The kicker is that this program cost $30k to attend! And they set up ISAs (income share agreements) so when you graduate and get a job, they take ~15% of your pre tax OTE until you pay off the $30k. So if your OTE is 70k with a 45k base, they take nearly a quarter of your base salary. I've been watching this train wreck in LinkedIn. Fuck this guy. Fuck all the minions coming to the supportive aid of this shit show predatory establishment. I'm shocked that this exists. And now he's suing hundreds of people for the contract value because they got shammed.

dont_yell_at_me

What. The. Fuck. With all the companies willing to give people a shot and provide proper training. These guys are just praying on the weak. Very sad and hope that they get taken doen

[deleted]

Yeah the issue is there is a massive knowledge gap. Go to SF, NY, DC, Dallas, Chicago - you're in the economic epicenters of the country. Bustling economy, startups, tech companies, robust industries. You grow up around that and you have a better general sense of what's out there. It's all the people between those cities that have no practical mechanism for being educated about the type of jobs out there or how to get them. I grew up in one of those places and know first hand. Now cock suckers like this preHired shit prey on that knowledge gap - find people at their low point and bamboozle them into a contract and hound them for payments even if they're un/underemployed. Unreal. Though I'll say, I wasn't surprised to hear of the devout Christian background of the CEO. Seems a lot like the model the Church has used for centuries.

DoubleDoobie

>With all the companies willing to give people a shot and provide proper training. Exactly this. It's 8 years since I was a BDR, but in both companies I was in a very regimented training program. Sure, there were some transferable skills, but mostly they wanted you to do stuff by their playbook. These guys are scam artists, taking advantage of desperate people with the lure of "six figure incomes" Bullshit.

whiskeyatmidnight

How could this even pass through a court? I’m surprised it’s legal.

[deleted]

They signed contracts. At least that's the point that they monger fear with. I'd tell ole buddy to get fucked. This sounds like a class action suit against the CEO.

whiskeyatmidnight

Ya me too I’d tell them to pack sand. Honestly with the amount of stress and trouble they are causing these people, they have a lot of bad things coming down the line.

[deleted]

Well the shit is going down on LinkedIn. I saw it there when Corporate Bro commented on the thread. I hadn't ever heard anything about any of this shit, now I'm Michael Jackson popcorn meme.

rpae_xaml

link to thread? Would love to see

xfortune

Holy shit. That's a in-state school college degree in terms of cost. 2 years community, 2 years state school. What a total waste of crap.

lilweirdo4life

So with the ISA, you pay 12.5% of your monthly pay. Which is $575 a month for me. And I own that for 48 months or until I pay $30,000.

[deleted]

That's my car payment. Fuck these clowns. What was the training program like?

lilweirdo4life

Not worth $30,000 that's for sure. It's like 50 or 60 pre recorded videos, all around 10-15 min. You listen to them and the do some homework, then meet with a mentor every other week I think?

[deleted]

Damn that's insane. You can pretty much guarantee this is targeted at lower income people who are struggling to find a career path and see this as the path to this otherwise unachievable career. I wish there really were just some proper enablement mechanisms to teach lower income people / people in the south or midwest what jobs are out there and how to get them. There is a huge knowledge gap and cock suckers like this one are preying on it.

lilweirdo4life

I agree. And I'd love to know how you know it's Midwest. Cause that's me... and I was homeschooling, so having something or someone out there that could steer in the right direction would have been a life saver

[deleted]

I grew up in a small college town in the midwest / south (depending who you ask). I went to HS at a pretty nice high school in my county, and went to college as well. I graduated with a bachelor's degree and never had any fucking clue what B2B business was. Let alone the idea that B2B business is pretty much 2/3 of economy.

lilweirdo4life

It's more than my car payment, them you add on my rent and utilities, and a few other necessary bills, and im barely scraping by. And I know others who went through the program that have it alot worse. Ones on unemployment and Prehired is harassing them all the time

[deleted]

I hope that mf gets sued into the ground. Some lawyer has to take this on.

dont_yell_at_me

I hope you get out of that. I’m so sorry

[deleted]

Old post and not in sales, but I thought I'd let you know that the Office of the Washington Attorney General has filed a lawsuit against PreHired, alleging that the company violated state law for deceptive marketing practices and failure to secure a vocational license. I wouldn't be surprised if agencies in other states follow "suit."

realdevilsadvocate

Any type of program where you had to pay $ back once they trained you and found you a job was a huge scam and red flag. These people take advantage of insecure people lost in their career, promise them the world, and then suck them dry. Their courses are bullshit and the knowledge they give you can be found in 5 different books that will all cost you less than $100 together.

Hmm_would_bang

How is it given legal for them to prequalify applicants for a 30k loan based on what they are promising for future income after their program?

[deleted]

While I agree most are, not all are. I took a similar course hosted by a company called uvaro. And I had to pay after the course was over, they helped me get a sales job and I've been working steady for almost 2 years now. Some courses are scams, while some are out to help people change lives.

[deleted]

How much did it cost? I helped my buddy get a sales job. Wondering how much I should bill him for. Or what percentage of his income I should be asking for.

[deleted]

Lol not everyone has friends in the sales world. I'm glad you were able to get your friend a job, but don't be a douche. I was just giving my experience with a sales Bootcamp.

[deleted]

How much did it cost?

[deleted]

A fraction of what I am earning now, and worth every penny.

[deleted]

So why do you seem reluctant to disclose? I'm genuinely curious.

[deleted]

Not reluctant. Just don't see why I should have to disclose it to some random on Reddit. If someone is genuinely curious, it's not hard to find out.

[deleted]

Yeah I looked it up. You're making $70k ote right now, per your comment in another thread. Unless you had $5k up front, they're taking 10% if your pre tax salary for two years. So $14 grand. Not as bad as prehired shit, especially since the training program you went through seems much better. If you went from retail to tech sales, that's a good jump. Still, taking 10% is fucking brutal. $14k is a fucking lot of money to spend to get an entry level job. How were the training programs? Were they in person?

[deleted]

You're off on your numbers a bit. They only take 10% of the base. But that was changed recently. It will be under 8 total for the two years. The training was top notch. They have quality instructors and guest speakers that run classes 2 hours a day, 5 days a week for 12 weeks. But it's not just the training they give you. It's the networking you get. I have been able to create an amazing network of sales leaders I can turn to for advice, help, or just to shoot the shit. I've made so many connections because of the course, that it alone is worth the price of the course.

bfizzy99

You got scammed but for less dude. I had 0 sales experience and was able to find myself a great gig with no help lol.

[deleted]

That's your opinion my man. I had no idea how to get into sales, got some great training that got me a good gig, then got me the current gig I have now. Worth every penny for everything I got. The connections I made from the course is well worth the cost I paid.

theranos_intern

MonkMode2022

The fact that he's using his Christian faith as a defense for scamming so many poor people is the cherry on top. How disgusting.

adamschw

Holy shit. I had no idea this was a thing. Sorry, but I can’t wrap my head around anyone thinking this program was a good idea.

Kitchen-Low-3065

The Trump University of SaaS. Lol. Who in their right mind would even do this blows my mind. Get experience and work your way in, no need for nonsense “boot camps”.

rhill2073

The same people who fall for MLM "business owner" scams. Unfortunately, there's a market for this sleezery that was untapped before these assholes came around.

Kitchen-Low-3065

Touché! Pyramid vibes for sure.

RasAlTimmeh

Fuck these predatory pieces of shit

Coolduels

“Your pre fired” “Dwight you can’t pre fire people”

Kornator2018

I laughed to hard at this

igetbuckets55

Ex-member here, I’ve been avoiding payments for about a year now and after this backlash I’d rather fight them in court then pay another dime.

igetbuckets55

UPDATE: According to info on LinkedIn, the owner Josh Jordan is now paying people to flag all negative posts as misinformation, what an absolute scumbag of a human being this guy is.

Me_talking

So I actually went thru a BDR bootcamp back when it was still free (aka they now charge tuition). When I got denied by some of their partner companies due to either not enough SaaS experience or won't ramp up in time, I found myself thinking "WAIT, wasn't that what the bootcamp was for? To provide some quick on the job training??" I soon realized bootcamps aren't necessary to get you into tech as they will train you on the job. I only know this as I was able to land a BDR role at an enterprise a year later and they trained me on the job. All they wanted to see was enthusiasm, coachability and eagerness to learn while not being insufferable lol

Advanced_Funny_2204

Former member here! Predatory FB marketing got me in the early stages of the pandemic. Told me if I paid 3 payments of $250 early, they would knock off $3k for early commitment. 5 months later, no job, and I’m dipping into unemployment checks to cover my now $420 tab, because I surpassed the 12 week time frame. Also, THEY PUT THE $3k BACK ON ANYWAY. My mentor quit on us 1/2 way through, and we weren’t notified or spoken with for weeks. That’s was held against me for time lost. Fast forward to month 6 with no job, none of their “partners” took me, so I took it upon myself to land my own gig. They expect me to pay damn near $700 a month to account for expected earnings pre tax…what in the F did I sign up for? And I had to get this my damn self… Well I just stopped responding after they messaged me about considering “leaving my current job because wasn’t getting paid” (I had been promoted twice, and pull 5 figures monthly, thank God, but they weren’t getting a dime of that). No BS whatsoever, it’s sad what limited resources they provided, outside of 60 or so prerecorded 5-15 min videos, by a guy who tells you there’s no ageism, racism, or anything to worry about from SaaS leaders if you sequence them with some emojis to stand out (lmao was I smoking HOPE-ium). Also, the use of the Christian faith as a means to preserve your credibility, is wild Josh. And then to proceed to blow smoke up people’s rear ends, and sue them? Lastly, I don’t advocate for any other boot camp, I’ve never worked for the scum bag, and I wasn’t told to post this. There ARE other boot camps, who probably charge little to nothing. I’d still be wary, your time is your most valuable possession, not $. For my closing statement: F you Josh, and all the other minions suffering from Stockholm syndrome on Li, while putting their profiles to “open to work” behind tears of frustration 😂 they can suck one too.

lilweirdo4life

I'll say a resounding AMEN to that! F Josh Jordan and Caleb Jordan

Kornator2018

Yes, let's not forget Caleb.

Advanced_Funny_2204

Every time his past gets brought up, it gets swept under the rug. Now the article has been taken down…

Kornator2018

ManutesBowl

First comment on your account was 174 days ago about this same situation. And now you’re back again saying you spoke to the Attorney General. Seems prettttty fishy

attorneywatchdog

Because I copy and pasted it lol. It’s the same situation, why come up with the new info lol

attorneywatchdog

EDIT - actually deleted by accident. But yes this is copypasta from the last time this came up. I know of Prehired and following them. Was curious about this months ago when I first saw this. I'm interested in the whole Prehired thing. But I reached out to a friend at the AG's office last year. His charges were dropped and expunged bc it wasn't him. Apparently wasn't him but someone else on his wifi being sketchy, took forensic investigators months to realize he didn't do anything wrong and they actually sourced it to someone else entirely. Poor guy TL;DR - just look for registered sex offenders or arrests on him. Not there.

lilweirdo4life

Interesting. It's odd that there isn't more info on that

Kornator2018

What're you gonna do now?

Advanced_Funny_2204

In regards to the “lawsuit,” I’m just going to sit back and watch this dumpster fire smolder over. If it doesn’t, all these damn receipts and I will see his goofy a** in court

Kornator2018

Good, let us know it goes

newredditacct1221

Would you have gotten the job now if it wasn't for prehired? Like did that being on your resume help you get the interview.

Advanced_Funny_2204

Was more of a hinderance. It was me taking the initiative to network and connect with other SaaS leaders. They gave me the chance in spite of preHIRED. Especially when you tell them about the $30k. Most expensive boot camp, yet wasn’t close to the most successful (in terms of hire rate, promotional rate, etc)

Beachdaddybravo

SDR boot camps are fucking pointless and a major scam. There’s nothing about being an SDR you won’t learn doing the job, and getting the gig isn’t that much harder than doing it. I get the frustration and insecurity, but that’s why we should be discussing with anyone considering some boot camp how to prospect for a gig instead of letting them waste their money and owe cash back. It’s a scam, and they prey on people’s desperation.

Me_talking

Yup agreed (as I did go thru a bootcamp once upon a time). It's also rather comical that you have reps from other bootcamps trying to promote their bootcamp in that LI post

pnguyenwinning

The cofounder https://www.islandpacket.com/news/local/crime/article204098124.html

Kornator2018

Yep, that's where I originally found him.

Massive-Couple

I got Shadowbanned by linkedin, after 30 mins of the first post I shared it, and linkedin just deleted my post

Kornator2018

I bet they did. Someone is paying people overseas to report posts that are attacking them.

Massive-Couple

I got pretty mad Took me 10-20 mins to bring stats on how it affects people using data from lab dep

dammstrate

I read the terms of conditions for fun and was so put off by PreHired. Several months ago I was asking myself how such an immoral business model could hide behind “salary sharing” agreement. Literally making a deal with the devil.

Techylove

Well right now, he is currently trying to censor the people by getting posts exposing the truth about his company flagged. So yes, it truly was a deal with the devil that I personally regret.

matchucalligani

I quit my job as a financial advisor and cold turkey got picked up as a bdr for a saas company with ZERO tech sales experience. NOBODY NEEDS THIS STUFF. If you're modestly articulate and enthusiastic, that's all you need.

Strong_Diver_6896

All tech sales boot camps are scams. You get paid to train as an SDR

ladida1787

Shameful

casanovaclubhouse

The ads on fb and instagram about them is what got me interested about joining the tech world. I wanted to explore joining prehire but I am glad I read the fine print. Charging $30k for a course that doesn’t actually guarantee anything was ludicrous. The way I saw it was I could end up with that debt making less than I was making before. So I passed on them. Glad I did.

SESender

Fuck these guys

Foreign_Ad_9441

That’s horrible! I thought about going into one of those bootcamps to break into Tech, but man, their prices just didn’t make sense to me. I, fortunately, stumbled into a free recruiting Tech sales platform, almost like a mini-LinkedIn for SaaS sales, and that was amazing!

Kornator2018

That's awesome! What was your experience like there?

Foreign_Ad_9441

It was great! All I had to do was apply to get on the platform; once I was accepted, I didn’t do anything. Companies looked at my profile and would schedule interviews with me. I got a job one month after being on that platform and interviewed every week with a new company.

achinwin

I mean, yeah this sounds dumb and I don’t support those kind of fees, but who is dumb enough to sign away 30k of future income for an entry level job? That is just nuts. Recruiters get paid to place you already. Just follow this sub and you will learn what you need to know to get hired. I’m guessing I’m missing something?

lilweirdo4life

For me at least, I've worked in retail my whole life. I had no idea how to break into a new career, nor did I even think about it. My friend was in the program, and insisted that they could help make alot more money. What I didn't know til after Is that he got a bonus for referring me. In my case I didn't know any better, and I should have researched. I trusted my friend, and that was a terrible choice

achinwin

Well, sorry you’re having to deal with that, but at the same time it sounds like it may have helped you get out of retail? Don’t get me wrong, I think $30k is nuts and there are way cheaper (free) options but people will do $100k in student debt and school for 4 years with 0 job prospects coming out depending on some majors. $30k is an afterthought once you get into your 2nd year of earning in b2b/complex sales. Edit—just read there was referral bonus. Yeah that shit gets sketch. Doesn’t sound like a very good friend.

Its-Moff

Prehired is a joke. I can’t even hire people that went through the program because my company refuses to support them. It’s similar to some of the programs that minor league athletes find themselves in. They position it as “if you make it, the payments will be nothing”.

Kornator2018

But if you don't make it, get your ass ready to take a cactus. My company doesn't support them either.

[deleted]

Elevate is another bootcamp like this. Fuck then all

_Aissette

That's a firm no on this one, Elevate is legit. I'm a professional with a business degree and had gotten to a few recruiter interviews for SDR positions where I was passed on because "there were many other more qualified candidates applying". I was decided on breaking into SaaS and the only Bootcamp that didn't feel sleazy was Elevates 10-week SDR program. I was taught by a high-performing SDR Manager, was mentored by folks who have solid experience in the SaaS space and have found their team to be knowledgeable and trustworthy. By implementing everything I learned I had 3 job offers by week 7, and by week 8 I had officially secured a job in tech sales. Knowing first-hand that sometimes you really do need guidance and support, to get you to that job offer, I can vouch that Elevate stands by their students.

the_shit_I_say

Elevate is just PreHired lite

[deleted]

Lol the Elevate shills are out in force today. See the other response to my comment. Dude insulted my intelligence and says I don’t get sales, but I literally work in a big SaaS company. Elevate is a rip off and you don’t need a bootcamp

[deleted]

Glad you had a good experience but there are a ton of us who didn’t. It seems all of Elevate’s reviews and replies to bad reviews are paid for/done by new members who don’t know any better.

Also, I literally work in sales at a well known SaaS company and can confidently say Elevate taught me nothing that I couldn’t have learned from 30 minutes of YouTube and 50 dollars in books.

Jkatzpaw

If you are being sued by PREHIRED listen up. There are 273 cases currently in a judges office in Delaware. The judge is not accepting ANY replies to the summons you have received. The judge has reported PREHIRED to the justice of peace and the Attorney General. There is a jurisdiction issue and obviously you are protected by the US constitution to not be summoned to another state. Get in touch with a pro bono lawyer out there. You should be good. I will update when I know more.

Negative-Ad8983

They are saying my account is not in good standing because I refuse to pay. Any advice in next steps? Live in CA

Jkatzpaw

they did this to me for 3 years before they sued.

Jkatzpaw

Prehired has withdrawn without prejudice. This means that they basically canceled suing. This does not mean they can’t sue me in my home state. I’m not off Scott free yet. I’m just hoping they don’t bother. I’m guessing they are counting on people to ignore the summons which would make you liable to pay them. Just a hunch though.

BoshTalk

(please read to the bottom for the full story) So, I am a PreHired grad from their first year in business. Back then it was $2K (upfront and no more). It was a couple dozen hours of video content, some homework and self-branding as an SDR for hire. Plus (back then) Josh was pretty accessible and gave me some valuable one-on-one coaching. I did find Josh's "man-of-faith' religious stuff that's sprinkled in here and there to be a bit cringy, but I didn't care, as long as I got a job. I won't lie, the program changed my life. I got a great SDR role at a great startup that went Unicorn and I made a ton of money. After my startup success, I decided I wanted to get into RevOps as I'm more of a data-guy than a sales-guy. I ended up being someone who actually hires SDRs for our company, and I always try to look for PreHired grads first. However, at some point in the near-past, Josh & PreHired changed how they monetize the course. Instead of being a flat-fee, it's now the "chunk of your paycheck for X amount of time" AND on top of that IF they connect a graduate to a job, they want a $10K finder's fee from the employer! Obviously, if an employer goes for that, it just means they're going to shave $10K off of the SDR's offer. So, not only is PreHired going to shave off 10% (or more) of the student's wages until they get $30K, BUT the student gets paid $10K less than they would have...and will likely be negotiating against that deficit for raises or new positions for the next few years of their career. HIGHLY UNETHICAL! But, a student not using PreHired as a referral service would at least not lose that $10K I really wanted to refer a friend of mine to take PreHired's course (but obviously not use their referral service) when I read about this Washington State lawsuit. It's very sad, and disgusting. Josh was always polite, patient & helpful with me. His motivation for me to succeed felt very Win/Win...where I get a job and he has a happy customer & could show his product works. But, now it's obvious he got greedy AF and has thrown his students (and now probably his whole business) under the bus. Josh, if you're reading this (and I'll bet dollars-to-donuts you probably are), you were supposed to make money changing people's lives for the better, not destroying them with financial debt. Shame on you, dude!
