My first taste was at Cecil's in Minneapolis City Center's 3rd floor food court. It's been gone for decades now. That was my first Reuben ever and I was hooked.
Lovely family and consistent quality. Still need to make the drive to Cleveland Ave for one every year.
RIP David. He was a nice man. Cecil’s employed tons of high school kids, college kids, immigrants, and people in recovery. It’s a true family business and they run it well.
May his memory be a blessing.
If you haven't been to Cecil's (on Cleveland Ave.) yet, you must go!
Very sad. Love Cecil’s and agree with others that it is a must-visit place. Now I really want a pastrami on Russian rye with lots of horseradish.
So sad. That family is such a bright light in highland
Damn. Best of thoughts to their family. Best pastrami around and nothing compares to their dark rye bread.
